Jeanne Rae (Rogers) MacDougall

Jeanne Rae (Rogers) MacDougall, a resident of Wilmington, Vermont passed away December 17, 2017 at her home. Jeanne was born in McKeesport, PA on May 7, 1942 the daughter of the late George and Jessie (Black) Rodgers. Jeanne was preceded in death by her late husband, Alan Miles MacDougall and her parents. She attended McKeesport High School and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business from the University of Pittsburgh. Upon graduation, Jeanne worked for the United States State Department in Washington DC and retired to Wilmington VT. She was very civically involved in Wilmington helping the Deerfield Valley Food Pantry, Friends of Historic Memorial Hall, a member of the Brattleboro Woman’s Chorus, and attended her beloved St. Mary’s In-The-Mountains Episcopal Church. Jeanne was a world traveler, was a renowned instructor in Scottish Highland Country Dancing, and loved all things Scottish. She is survived by cousins Linda Eminson and her husband Thomas and their daughter Dawn Svor all of Round Rock, TX,  Agnus Oskin of North Huntington, Alvin Oskin of Jeanette, Diana Scott of White Oak, James Orr of Murrysville and other cousins in Ohio, Florida, Washington State and Pennsylvania. A committal service for Jeanne will be held on June 9h at 11:00 AM at McKeesport-Versailles Cemetery.

Doris “Dee Dee” Hamilton, age 63 of Duquesne, Pennsylvania, passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2018.  She was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on July 11, 1954, one of six children of Donald H. and Mary Lou (Ray) Hamilton.  Dee Dee was an active member of the Duquesne Family Support Center and an avid volunteer and supporter of Duquesne youth athletics.

 She was preceded in death by her parents and is survived by her 10 children, Daniel Hamilton, Glen Hamilton, Olive (Scott Hatten) Hamilton, Kevin Hamilton, Derrick Hamilton, Amanda Davis, Crystal Smith, Meredith Smith, Victoria Smith and Donnie Smith; 30 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and 5 siblings, Patricia Leatherwood, Donald A. Hamilton, Gloria Hamilton, Mary Carman and Jacqueline Mehrmann.

 Friends will be received in the Maloy-Schleifer Funeral Home, Inc., 915 Kennedy Avenue, Duquesne, Pennsylvania 412-466-3300 William B. Schleifer, Supervisor, William Brian Schleifer, Funeral Director, on Tuesday, June 5, 2018 from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM.  Dee Dee’s funeral service will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at the conclusion of the visitation at 8 PM.  The Reverend Judi Slater of the First Presbyterian Church of Duquesne will be officiating.

THEODORE J. “TED” HARBACHO age 60, of Bethel Park, formerly of West Mifflin, on Memorial Day, May 28, 2018, at home. He was the son of the late Harry J. and Evelyn (Zdybak) Harbacho. Ted was a piping designer for C.S.D. Engineering in Robinson Twp. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, working on cars and skiing and belonged to the Pittsburgh Ski Club. He was also a former member of the Catholic Alumni Club. Beloved husband of Carrie (Galda) Harbacho for 12 years; brother of Paula (Robert) Pawlowski of Naples, FL and Carol (Mark) Bauer of North Huntingdon; also nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Husband of his childhood sweetheart, Sadie (Richards) Derry, to whom he was married for 13 years; father of Eva Derry, age 9 and Levi Derry, age 4; grandson of Marcia (Late James) Malloy of West Mifflin and Margaret (Late John Sr.) Derry of West Mifflin; son-in-law of Thomas and Lola (Bowers) Richards of Jefferson Hills; brother of Kristopher (Jennifer) Derry of N. Huntingdon; brother-in-law of Britt (Joseph) Oliver of Jefferson Hills, and Grace (Brian) Dittman of Jefferson Hills. He was a member of St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church, McKeesport. He proudly served his country in the Navy during WWII. IRENE E. DENNE age 85, of Connellsville, formerly of Duquesne, at the home of her daughter, Sharon. An earthly angel gained her Heavenly wings on May 19, 2018, when Irene Denne passed through Heaven's Gates. She was a daughter of the late Walter and Stella (Blaczyewska) Balawajder. Irene was a wonderful and loving wife and mother. She loved and cherished her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her family was her greatest joy in life. Irene always thought of others and would brighten the day of others by sending cards. She also enjoyed feeding birds every morning from the back porch. Irene will be sadly missed but fondly remembered. She loved listening to Polka Party every Sunday morning and enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Penguins. She was devoted to the Blessed Virgin Mary and prayed the Rosary daily for those in need. Beloved wife of the late Bernard T. Denne; mother of Sharon (Bill) Crissman of Connellsville, PA, Linda (David) Konar of West Mifflin and Thomas B. Denne of Turtle Creek. Predeceased by her son-in-law, Carl I. She was the wife of the late Stephen J. Palko, Jr. She is survived by children Marci (Mark Provident) Palko, of West Mifflin, Jodi (Chris) Thomas of South Park, Stacie Fagan (Tom Yuhas) of West Mifflin; grandchildren Quinn Palko, Cody (fiance, Katie Flaugh) Fagan, Luke Fagan, Owen &  Keagan Provident, and Logan & Erica Thomas, sister of Larry (Sherry) McGrail of Peters Township. Whitey was a retired bearing repairman from US Steel Duquesne Works, a graduate of Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics, member of the American Legion Post 701 White Oak, former VFW Post 188, the AARP and the former West Mifflin Annex Senior Citizens. He proudly served our country in the Army during WWII. Beloved husband of 68 years to Cecelia A.
