Dervin (step mother Karen) and Diane (Lovas) Mardell (step father Dennis). Heather was a graduate of Norwin High School, class of 2008. Her interests were in culinary arts, drawing, writing, and poetry. She loved cats and was a huge Pittsburgh Penguins fan. She is a granddaughter of the late Jack and Pauline Dervin and Chuck and Patti Sasse.

He served in the Marines and went on to be a Police Officer in North Versailles, Glassport and the City of Pittsburgh.
