David J. Bowers Jr., 69, a resident of Sherwood Oaks, Cranberry Township, formerly of North Huntingdon, died at home Tuesday February 16, 2016. He was born July 24, 1946 in McKeesport, a son of the late David J. Sr. and Lorraine (Shaw) Bowers and was also preceded in death by his loving wife Nancy J. (Pekarsky) Bowers. He was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and an Army reservist. George “Iggy” T. Ihnat, 76, of North Huntingdon, passed away on Wednesday, February 10, 2016. He was born January 17, 1940 in Wall, a son of the late John and Mary (Evan) Ihnat. He was a teacher at the East Allegheny School system for over 37 years. He was a member of St. Angela Merici Catholic Church, White Oak, and the Alpha Gamma Phi fraternity. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother John Ihnat. He is survived by his wife of over 55 years Mary Jo (Coyne) Ihnat, sons Bruce Ihnat and Jeffrey (Cheryl) Ihnat both of North Huntingdon; grandchildren Calynn, Devin, Abigail and Isabelle; and a sister Mary Janice (John) MacKinnon of Huntingdon Beach, California.
