James "Jim" Andrew Zoll, 61, of Elizabeth Township, passed away at home on Saturday, August 26, 2023. He was born April 26, 1962 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Robert Charles and Audrey H. Jane (Remaley) Ganss, age 103, of Sewickley, formerly of West Elizabeth and Pleasant Hills, passed away on Sunday, August 27, 2023 at the Masonic Village of Sewickley. She was a retired clerk at the West Elizabeth Post Office, a member of Springdale United Presbyterian Church, and a member of the Elizabeth 418 Order of Eastern Star and Past Worthy Matron. Born January 9, 1920 in Springdale, she was a daughter of the late James G. and Emma E. (Thompson) Remaley, and wife of the late William J. Ganss Jr. She is survived by son, Jim (Louise) Ganss of Decatur, TN; daughter, Marcie (Bob) Ladley of Jefferson Hills; granddaughter, Christy MacDonald; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters. A special thank you to her two great-nieces, Lynn Currie and Beth Hewitt, and the staff of Masonic Village, especially the “A-Team.” Private visitation was at the Paul E. Valerie Kanyak Gallagher, 67, of Dravosburg, PA, passed away Thursday, August 24th, 2023. She was born in McKeesport on January 1st, 1956, to the late Peter and Isabel Shoaf Kanyak. Valerie was loved by many. She is survived by the loves of her life, her two daughters, April Cislo Banks, of West Mifflin, and Amber (Josh) Saunders, of Irwin, and her step-son, Ryan Gallagher, of West Mifflin. She was affectionately referred to as “Nana” by her three grandchildren, Baylee Banks, Joshua Saunders, and Adalynn Saunders. She is also survived by her husband, Richard Gallagher, of West Mifflin, and her very best friend, Mary Eversole, of White Oak, as well as many nieces and nephews. Valerie was greeted in Heaven by her parents, Peter and Isabel (Shoaf) Kanyak, her brother, Stephen Kanyak, and her two sisters, who doubled as her best friends, Janice Kanyak and Lori Falchetti. Valerie had so many friends and family who loved her. Val loved to be a grandmother, a mother, and a friend to all. Valerie was exceptional at her job of being a caretaker, and she also left behind many clients whom she loved as her own. She was a member of the American Legion #380 in Dravosburg as well as the Dravosburg United Methodist Church and the Dravosburg Volunteer Fire Company, and also worked as a waitress at Denny’s in West Mifflin. She leaves behind the memory of her laugh and beautiful smile. Family and friends will be received on Monday, August 28th, 2023 from 2 P.M. to 6 P.M. at I.M FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 203 4th St, Dravosburg, PA 15034. Carole J. (McCorkle) Williams, age 81, of Forward Twp., passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at home. She was the accountant for the family business, Tom's Body Shop in Forward Twp. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. A master quilter and member of the Mon Valley Quilt Club, she also enjoyed sewing, building puzzles and doing crossword puzzles, and was an avid reader. Born June 3, 1942 in Elizabeth, she was a daughter of the late William E. and Helen (Hough) McCorkle. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Thomas E. Williams; daughters, Amy Brunazzi of Forward Twp. and Jennifer (Simone Meltesen) Williams of New York, NY; grandchildren, Erin Brunazzi, Sarah (Stephen) Ciuca and Arthur Brunazzi; great-grandchildren, Trent, Sofia, Anson and Ellis; brother, Boyd McCorkle of the state of California; also, nieces and nephews. First born of the late Clyde “Andrew” and Dorothy (Robertson) Lynch, Mike Lynch Sr. of Pitcairn, passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2023.
Mike fell in love at first sight at age 9 with a curly red-headed girl. At age 18, he married that love, Laura M. Lynch, and started his family. He proudly served in The United States Army. He went on to work for 35 years at The Chelsea Building Products as a master technician. Proud, humble, with a twinkle of mischief in his Irish eyes encompassed who he was. He loved his family, NASCAR, the Steelers and Notre Dame Football.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Laura; sons, Michael (Christina) Lynch, Jr., and Keith (Jill) Lynch; daughter, Karie Lynch; daughter-in-law, Stephanie Lynch; and numerous “honorary” kids from the neighborhood.
Proud grandfather of 6 and great-grandfather of 6 more. He is also survived by his brothers, Danny Lynch and John (Tammy) Lynch; sisters, Theresa Cosgrove, Ruth (Stephen) McCulley and Leecinda (David) Liller; sisters-in law, Fran (Clay) Gross, Joyce Whipkey, and Patricia Ray; brother-in-law, Paul (Lynn) Ray and many many nieces and nephews.

Regina "Jean" L. Humenik, 80, of Buena Vista, died Aug. 23, 2023. She is the daughter of the late Stephen and Helen (Klimek) Vranka and beloved wife of the late Ernest Humenik. John Robert Stefl, 89, of Elizabeth Township, passed into eternal life on August 21, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 5, 1933 in Mt. Pleasant and was the son of the late Rudolph Albert and Mary C. (Klamar) Stefl. John started his career with 28 years at Fort Pitt Steel in McKeesport working in maintenance, where he served as both Vice President and Union Steward. After closure of the plant, he worked in construction until retirement. With his wife, he delivered Meals on Wheels for Elizabeth Township for over 20 years; and for many years, he was able to provide his family, friends and Meals on Wheels clients with vegetables from his prolific vegetable garden.

Andrew Alan Jenkins, 75, of Dravosburg, formerly of Duquesne, passed away on Monday, August 21, 2023, at Jefferson Hospital. He was born at Monessen Hospital on August 17, 1948, to the late William and Virginia Arnold Jenkins. He is survived by his life partner, Cheryl Dupak of Dravosburg, son Andrew W. Jenkins, of Lincoln Place, brother William (Sandy) Jenkins, or Irwin, and many nieces and nephews. Andrew was preceded in death by his first wife Donna Coberly, brother James Jenkins, and sister Pricilla Miranda. He worked as a Tool and Die maker for Fisher Body in West Mifflin for 40 years and was a member of the Auto Workers Union, the American Legion in Dravosburg as well as Port Vue, and served in the National Guard. Andrew was an excellent pool player and used to own the A.W. Pool Hall in McKeesport in the 1960s, was an amazing pencil drawing portrait artist, an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, loved singing and had an excellent voice, and was actively engaged with social media.
