Kelly A. (Carroll) Moffitt, age 50, of McKeesport, died December 29, 2021, at UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital.  Born August 18, 1971, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of George and Linda (Squire) Carroll.

Kelly was a 1989 graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School.  Growing up, she enjoyed time spent with family camping in Ligonier.  She was always at her son's sporting events, cheering them on and supporting them.  Once she became a grandmother, she would spend time watching and bonding with them in her home.

Janet A. Zewe, age 62, of South Fayette Twp., formerly of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Monday, December 27, 2021 at home. She loved animals, especially her dog, Schmackey. Born August 12, 1959 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of Dolores E. (Lazar) Zewe of Elizabeth Twp. and the late James D. Zewe. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her sisters, Diane (Larry) Sebbens of Bethel Park and Jennifer (Tony) Hutskow of Elizabeth Twp.; brother, James T. (Connie) Zewe of Elizabeth Twp.; nieces, Nanette (Gary) DeSanzo, Lexi Hutskow, Jamie (Shane) Mudron, Carly (Dustin) Wyne and Cassi Goucher; and nephews, Luke and Jake Sebbens. A private visitation and service was held in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth on Thursday, December 30, 2021, with the Rev. Thomas A. Wagner officiating. William Arthur Rowan, 85, of Jeannette, passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at home. He was born October 29, 1936 in Connellsville and was the son the late Arthur and Ruth (Ohler) Rowan. He was the husband of 54 years to the late Lillian Catherine "Kay" (Love) Rowan, who passed away April 2, 2012.  William worked at Westinghouse and was an electrical engineer there for over 15 years. He was the past Exalted Ruler and a lifetime member of the Norwin Elks. He also enjoyed his happy hour vodka.  He will be greatly missed.  He is survived by his daughter, Wendy (the late John) Grandy of Manor, son, Curt (Debbie) Rowan of Maricopa, AZ, grandchildren, Rachel (Cory) Sementuh, Samantha (Greg Spencer) Grandy, Jessica Rowan and Nicholas Rowan, 5 great-grandchildren, as well as nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his siblings.  As per William's wishes there is no visitation or services. Erma B. Tarle, 94, of North Huntingdon, passed away Tuesday, December 28, 2021.  She was born January 27, 1927 in McKeesport, a daughter of the late Josephine Michaelson Matta.  Erma was a member of St. Agnes Parish and enjoyed doing yardwork, reading and was an animal lover.  In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Tarle and half-sister, Jennifer Miebach.  She is survived by her two sons Mark and his wife, Jennifer and Brian Tarle; half-sister, Marcia Overton;  three granddaughters, Stacy, Katelyn and Michele Tarle. Friends will be received at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA on Monday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.  A blessing service will follow at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Margaret V. Ferencz

Margaret V. Ferencz, peacefully fell asleep in the Lord on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 in her own home, watched over by four of her eight children. Margaret was born in Rankin in 1927. She and her husband George raised their two daughters and six sons in Elizabeth Township. After George passed in 1988, she moved to St. Petersburg, FL, near her younger brother Ray and his family. Well into her 80s, Margaret enjoyed traveling, going on cruises and tours, and visiting her children up north. She offered community service, visiting people in the hospital and the nursing homes. She often offered up her time driving the "old folks" to the doctor's office or to the store. Margaret moved again to Winston Salem, NC, near two of her sons and spent her final years in peace and contentment, being cared for by her children. She lived a full life and God blessed her throughout her years and in her final moments. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband George, her two brothers John and Ray and a sister Maria who passed away in childhood.

Joanne Lorraine Bryer, age 91, of Dravosburg, died December 26, 2021, at home with her loving family by her side.  Born November 30, 1930, in Etna, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Mabel (Creeks) Banister and wife of the late Herman Joseph Bryer.

Joanne was a member of the Dravosburg United Methodist Church and the Dravosburg Senior Citizens.  She cherished her time spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Joanne enjoyed the flowers in her garden, working on word search books and reading cards created by her son Paul.

Joanne is survived by children, Paul Bryer, Carol Bryer, Debra Bryer, and Joseph (Kim) Bryer; grandchildren, Clint (Zane) Parsons, Courtney (Lovell) Jackson, Kaili (David Seda) Bryer, Ansleigh Bryer, Joseph Bryer and Aarianna Bryer; great-grandchildren, Presleigh, Peighton, Carter, Cy, and Eva; cousin, Claudette (Ralph) Bonadio.

Mary "Madelyn" M. Ryan, 72, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2021.  Madelyn was born November 7, 1949 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late James Albert and Mary Elizabeth (Lynch) Fiore.  She was the wife of 52 years to the late Edward P. Ryan, who passed away August 8, 2021, for whom she was an excellent caretaker. She attended both St. Michael Church in Elizabeth Township and Community United Methodist Church in Harrison City. She worked as a hairdresser for over 50 years.  Madelyn lived her entire life for her family and  loved being with her late husband, her children, and her grandchildren. When she wasn't caring for her family, she enjoyed bowling, card games, watching game shows and doing puzzles.  She will be greatly missed.

Geraldine Trump, age 85, of McKeesport, died December 26, 2021, at home. Born May 29, 1936, in Connellsville, PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Gertrude (Sanner) Smith and the wife of the late Dallas F. Trump.

Geraldine retired from McKeesport Area School District as a Teacher's Aide. She also worked in home health care throughout her life. Geraldine enjoyed gardening, cooking, and caring for all the children in her life.

She is survived by her son, Dallas S. Trump of McKeesport; daughter, Beverly Hott of WV, granddaughter, Jamie (Joseph) Forbes of McKeesport; grandsons, Carl Hott, Shawn Trump, Christopher Trump, many great-grandchildren, special great-granddaughter; Autumn Forbes, great-great-grandchildren; and nephew, Wayne Smith.

Walter L. Gibson, age 82, of McKeesport, died December 23, 2021, at home.  Born January 20, 1939, in Tuskegee, AL, he was the son of the late McDaniel Gibson, Fletcher Fisher, and Mary Francis (Jenkins) Fisher and husband of Anna (Dorsey) Gibson for 56 years. 

Walter worked for U.S. Steel in Duquesne and then went to work for the Arlington Public Schools in Virginia.  He enjoyed watching western movies, NBA games, and watching shows about nature on the Discovery Channel.  He was a member of the Booker T. Washington Lodge and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Anna Woods, 92, of North Huntingdon, passed away Monday, December 27, 2021 at Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville.  She was born October 7, 1929 in North Braddock, a daughter of the late Joseph and Maria (Brandle) Lutz.  Prior to her retirement, Anna was the owner/operator of George Woods Garage. 

She was a devoted wife, and the best Mom and Grandmother anyone could dream of having.  Ann loved life and everyone that came into her life unconditionally.  She loved and took care of her family by any means possible.  She had an infectious smile and a feisty personality. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Woods; sons-in-law, Eugene Moose and Jack Muzzie; brothers, Joseph, Herman and Paul Lutz; sisters, Elsie Rance and Mary Zortich.  She is survived by her son, George B. (Leda) Woods; daughters, Linda A. Moose, Deborah M. Muzzie, Heidi L. (Rod) Truitt; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; five step grandchildren and five step great grandchildren.

Barry Fredric Barnett, 85, of White Oak, left this world peacefully at home on Sunday, December 26, 2021.
Born on May 22, 1936 in Duquesne, PA, Barry was the son of the late Michael and Anna (Fedor) Barnyak. He shared 53 years of marriage with the rock and love of his life, Flo (Kolton), and was the beloved father of children Joy (Tim) Desmond, Barry (Kelly) Barnett, and Kristy (Todd) Alexander.
A veteran of the United States Air Force, he was a former engineer with Westinghouse Nuclear Division in Monroeville, a founding and active member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton parish and a volunteer at Redstone Highlands Senior Living in North Huntingdon. He was an avid Jeopardy! fan, loved crossword and number puzzles, Pittsburgh's pro and college sports teams, working out and traveling; most of all, he loved spending time with his family and furry friends, Shadow and Raven.
In addition to his wife and children, his memory will be cherished by grandchildren Brady, Brenna, Kaden, Tyler, Liam, Beckham and Gabe; brothers Robert (Marion) Barnett, William (Irene) Barnett and Earl Barnyak; and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by sister Eleanor Shaw.
Barry was an example of what we should all strive to be--a kind, loyal and loving human being.
A memorial service for family and friends will be held on February 4, 2022 at 10 a.m. in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 200 Leger Road, N. Huntingdon, PA.
