Elizabeth L. (Brosky) Lucas, 39, of Mount Vernon, passed away Friday, February 11, 2022 after a courageous battle against cancer. She was born April 11, 1982 in Washington, PA and is the daughter of Jane E. (Brosky) Huff and the late Russell J. Huff, Jr. She is the loving wife of Wayne W. Lucas, Jr., whom she married July 1, 2006. Elizabeth graduated from South Park High School in 2000. She was active in the band and theatre. She was a member of the Pioneer drum and Bugle corps and traveled around the US several summers of her teenage years. She studied Technical theatre at CCAC and worked in Technical Theatre for many groups around the city. She worked at the Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival and was an active member of the Pittsburgh Savoyards. She was a majority member of Shawnee Assembly of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls and a Past Worthy Advisor. She was a member of Anna M. Rote Memorial Chapter of Eastern Star and a Past Matron of Elizabeth Chapter. She was a Girl Scout leader for Troop #30753 in Elizabeth Township and worked with the Boy Scouts Troop #99.

Gloria was incredibly proud of her two sons, Daniel and Mark, and loved spending time with her grandchildren, baking, and crafting. She shared her love of music with everyone, especially her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Skendrovic, in 2002 and her son Daniel Cowell in 2003.
Gloria is survived by her daughter-in-law Rosanne Cowell, son Mark and his wife Bernadette, 4 grandchildren Gina (Ouadhah) Ben Rhouma, Daniel (Elizabeth) Cowell, Mark (Courtney) Cowell, and Willem Cowell, and 5 great-grandchildren, Adam, Wyatt, Juliette, Noah and Ryan.
Family and friends will be received at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon on Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. A funeral service will take place on Monday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Entombment to follow in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park.

Nancy Jane Arnold, 89, of Elizabeth Township, passed away, Wednesday, February 9, 2022. She was born April 6, 1932 in McKeesport and is the daughter of the late Dave and Nellie (Melegari) Contrella. She was the wife to the late Edgar A. Arnold, who passed away September 20, 1997. She is a long time member of Mount Vernon Community Presbyterian Church and dedicated a lot of time in the nursery, choir, office and many other aspects of the church and was even a deacon at one point. She was a part of a bowling league and was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan. Her favorite time was spent with family and loved every moment with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Nancy is also known for making delicious homemade bread, that the whole family loved.

Anthony DiSciullo, age 89, of McKeesport, died February 7, 2022, at the Reformed Presbyterian Home of Pittsburgh. Born February 26, 1932, in Glassport, he was the son of the late Pietro and Mary (Ranalli) DiSciullo-Wallett and the husband of the late June (Farley) DiSciullo.
Anthony retired from the former Copperweld Steel Company of Glassport. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War. Anthony was a member of the McKeesport Sportsman's Association, Glassport American Legion Post #443, and the Sons of Italy social club of Glassport. He enjoyed traveling with his wife and searching for treasures at the local flea markets.

Elvira "Elvie" Slavik, age 94, of Port Vue, died February 9, 2022, at Overlook Green Senior Living of Pittsburgh. Born October 13, 1927, in Clairton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Gaetano and Marie (Tuoto) Spinello and the wife of the late Michael A. "Mike" Slavik.
Elvira retired as a self-employed beautician. She truly loved being a wife and mother and always being there to care for her family and home. Elvira was a member of the former St. Mark's Parish. She was also a member of the ISDA Lodge #57. Elvira took great pride in her cooking and will always be remembered for her fried chicken. She enjoyed bingo, trips to the casino, and scratching PA Lottery tickets. Elvira is survived by her son, Gregory (Cindy) Slavik of Glenshaw; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Along with her husband and parents, Elvira was also preceded in death by a son, Michael Slavik. Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Saturday, February 12, 2022, from 1 p.m. until the time of blessing service at 5 p.m., in the funeral home chapel.
Private burial will be in Calvary Cemetery of Port Vue.

Keith Louis Stancato, 73, of West Mifflin, was born October 23, 1948, in Charleroi, PA. He was the beloved son of the late Louis and Margaret (Hudo) Stancato.
He attended school in Monessen, grades K-12, graduating in 1966 then studying Computer Programming and taking IBM classes. Keith was a veteran serving our country in the United States Army from 1968-1972, receiving an Honorable Discharge and obtained the rank of Specialist 4th Class with duties of Comm Center Specialist. After the Army, Keith attended the Institute of Computer Management.
Keith worked as a Senior Programmer Analyst for Dollar Bank in the Strip District. On April 22, 1989, he married Karen Shafer. To this union, they had 3 beautiful daughters. Keith and Karen lived in Belle Vernon and then moved to West Mifflin, Pennsylvania where they currently reside.
Keith was an avid sports enthusiast. He played baseball in the Army and then later was an excellent golfer, winning many local tournaments. Keith was very active in the church where he loved to teach and preach, first in Belle Vernon and then at Covenant Church of Pittsburgh where he became a Pastor. While in Belle Vernon, he attended the Mon Valley Institute where he graduated with a Master of Theology and Master of Divinity. Keith taught bible class for 8 years at the Harty Bible School in McKeesport.

Alan E. Stanoszek, 69, of New Stanton, died Sunday, Feb. 6, 2022, at Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville. He was born July 11, 1952, in McKeesport, the son of Edward and Emma (Ryan) Stanoszek. He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Sylvia (Lohr) Stanoszek, whom he married on Nov. 27, 1992; and cousins, Duane Stanoszek (Sharon), of North Huntingdon, and Kevin Ryan (Carol), of Elizabeth Township. Alan was preceded in death by his parents. He graduated from McKeesport High School in 1971 and attended Westmoreland County Community College, Hempfield. He was a member of Keystone Clipper RC Model Airplane Club, Rillton, and Latrobe Harley Owners Group (HOG) motorcycle club. He worked as a printer at Ryan Printing, McKeesport, and also was trained in heating, ventilation and air conditioning technologies. He showed a keen interest in the information technology field. He loved riding his Harley-Davidson trike motorcycle, stopping at various restaurants along the way for a meal. He took delight in expressing his wide-ranging opinions to anyone and everyone.

He was an auto technician for Cochran GMC, enjoyed golf, bowling, helping the kids do home projects and cooking. Eileen A. Pierce, age 87, of McKeesport, died February 8, 2022, at home with her loving family. Born March 21, 1934, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of late Walter and Helen (Berry) Johnson, and the wife of James E. "Skip" Pierce, Jr., for 65 years.
Eileen dedicated her life to caring for her family and home. She was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish, and attended Corpus Christi Church. Eileen enjoyed trips to the casino and playing Pokeno with her neighborhood card club. She looked forward to traveling and especially loved trips to Ocean City and Deep Creek Lake with her family.

Roger Joseph Maceno, age 88 of Elizabeth Township, passed away on Monday, February 7, 2022. Born June 27, 1933 in Braddock he was a son of the late Joseph and Helen (Powell) Maceno. Roger loved to talk to people, which he had the opportunity to do every day as a bus driver for Port Authority Transit for 36 years. Following his retirement from PAT in 1994, he took two weeks off and worked another 24 years for Massie Toyota and Day Toyota. He was a devoted dance and marching band parent to Tina during her school years and was a fixture at Payday’s Giant Eagle, which he used as a social hub. He was also a former member of the Lion’s Club. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and “Pop Pop.”

Eugene R. Glos, age 60, of Elizabeth, passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at UPMC Presbyterian. He was a retired mechanic for Port Authority and also worked at his family’s business, One Stop Spot along Route 51 in Elizabeth. An Army veteran, he enjoyed fishing and working in his garage, which he referred to as Stella's, and spending time with his cat Spikets. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and his entire family. Born June 16, 1961 in McKeesport, he was a son of Pearl C. (Hickman) Glos of Elizabeth and the late Ronald E. Glos. In addition to his mother, he is survived by daughters, Heather (Wayne) Michaels of Lincoln Borough and Eugenia (Junior) Glos of Clairton; grandchildren, Mack, Tony and Shane; girlfriend, Lisa Knapp of White Oak; sisters, Sandra (Kenny) Lawver of Bronks Mills, NJ and Pamela Geiser of Elizabeth Twp.; friend of 49 years, Bruce Trumpie of Monongahela; also, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Tina Rae Gumpher, 62 of Elizabeth, formerly of North Versailles, passed away on Thursday, February 3rd, 2022, at McKeesport Hospital. She is survived by her sisters Patricia Kristofik of Elizabeth and Theresa Irwin of North Versailles as well as brother James “Mike” Gumpher of Sigel.
