It is with great sadness that the family of Arlene J. Clawson-Dodds, 69, of Greenock, formerly of Clairton, passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at home.  Arlene was born September 25, 1954 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Joshua J. Smith, Jr. and the late Margaret (Warhol) Smith.  She was the wife of the late Robert J. "Bob" Dodds, who passed away March 26, 2008.  Arlene graduated from Clairton High School in 1972 and would retire after 36.5 years of service working as a caseworker for The PA Department of Welfare in 2009. Then she  helped cook meals for The Sisters of the Divine Redeemer-Motherhouse for 10 years, before retiring for good in 2020. Arlene was the sweetest and kindest person, and she never had a bad word to say about anyone.  She loved her family so much, especially being "boo" to her young granddaughters, Alana and Chloe.  She lived every day for her family and we are all better people because she was such an important person in our lives. She will be greatly missed, but the many beautiful memories we have of her will remain forever.
