Harry “Rich” Richard Stromeyer, 70, of Glassport passed away peacefully Friday, December 8, 2017 at Jefferson Regional Hospital.  He was born February 7, 1947 in Mingo Junction, Ohio to the late Carl and Ruth Bickerstaff Stromeyer.  Rich is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Aileen Elkovitz Stromeyer; sons, Charles & Joseph Stromeyer both of Ohio; daughter Katherine Martin, also of Ohio; stepdaughters, Amber (Dave) Radaker and Brooke Ladisic both of Glassport; grandchildren, Bella, Zach, Jacob; sister, Elsie Petrella of Mingo Junction, OH; many nieces and nephews.  Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Robert Stromeyer; sister, JoAnn Pettibon; and niece Tracy Petrella.  Rich was retired from Forbes Regional Hospital, served in the US Navy for 4 years, was a deck hand on a tugboat, managed the Showboat Lounge in Glassport for 9 years, was a member of the VFW in Steubenville, OH and a member of American Legion Post 380 in Dravosburg.  Family and friends will be received Monday, December 11, 2017 from 4 – 8 pm at E. C. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 235 Monongahela Avenue, Glassport,  PA   15045. Age 77, of West Mifflin, PA (originally from Omaha, NE), unexpectedly passed away with her family by her side on Wednesday, December 6, 2017, after a short battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her son, Jonathan Hoblak; beloved wife of 59 years to John Hoblak; dearly treasured mother of Barbara Simmons, James (Cynthia) Hoblak, Susan (Edward) Davies, Kathleen Hoblak, Kristine (Robert) Karpinsky and Eric (his wife, Devera Davis) Hoblak; loving grandmother of 11 grandchildren; and great-grandmother of 14; also survived by her sisters, Norma May of Minneapolis and Marilyn Hannan of Phoenix. She dedicated her life to her faith and family. She was an active member of Christ Lutheran Church in Forest Hills and served in a number of capacities. Her life was measured by her success of those she so deeply touched. Her most cherished times were those spent with her beloved family. Her grace and strength in the face of adversity will always be remembered. She will be deeply missed. Visitation will be at the MALOY - SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, 915 Kennedy Ave., Duquesne, PA 412-466-3300.
