Mark Vojnovich, 92, of Duquesne, fell asleep in the Lord peacefully on Sunday, March 31, 2019, in Walden’s View of North Huntingdon. Born in Duquesne, April 17, 1926, he was the son of the Late Eli Vojnovich and Mary Stipanovich. Mr. Vojnovich He was a member of St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church, McKeesport. He was a retired proprietor of Butch’s Wonder Bar. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II.  Beloved husband of the Late Elizabeth “Betty” Vojnovich, he is survived by his loving son Thomas Vojnovich of Florida, two brothers, Donald (Milena) Vojnovich of North Huntingdon and Eli Vojnovich of Duquesne, a sister-in-law Dolores Vojnovich of North Huntingdon, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Douglas G. Vranish, 61, of Irwin, passed away Saturday, March 30, 2019.  He was born July 9, 1957 in Johnstown,  a son of the late Milan and Beverly (Brown) Vranish.  Doug was the owner of Doug Vranish Plumbing and Heating and was a member of Christ The Light of the World Church, Duquesne.  He was a car enthusiast and an avid Pittsburgh sports team fan.  He enjoyed visiting the City of Pittsburgh, loved cutting grass, being Evander's pap pap, spending time with his family and had a larger than life personality with a sense of humor to match. He is survived by his loving wife, Veronica Kingerski; sons, Jacob Vranish and his wife, Alyssa; Benjamin Vranish (Babs); daughter, Sarah Vranish; brother, Matthew Vranish and his wife, Cindy; sisters, Sandra (Daniel) Skerbetz, Susan (Glenn) Wells; and grandson, Evander.  Friends will be received on Wednesday from 2-8 p.m. at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA.   A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m.  Interment to follow in Irwin Union Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mario Lemieux Foundation.  www.shirleyfuneralhome.com

She enjoyed sitting around her  fire outside of her home and decorating her yard and home with fall and Christmas blow-ups. Close friends referred to her as "momma". Regis John Yuhas, 67, of Duquesne, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 in UPMC Montefiore. Born on June 7, 1951, in McKeesport, he was the son of the Late Joseph John Yuhas and Virginia Marie Colby. Mr. Yuhas honorably served his country in the United States Air Force and was a Vietnam Veteran. Mr. Yuhas enjoyed playing guitar, fishing, and watching baseball. He especially loved the music of CCR. He is survived by his loving brother and sister, Daniel (Yvonne) Yuhas and Cheryl (David) McGeehan, and several nieces and nephews who will sorely miss him. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Karen Yuhas Reilly.

James Jacob Barchie, age 95 of Oakley, MI and formerly of McKeesport, passed away on Thursday, March 28, 2019 in Chesaning Comfort Care in Chesaning, MI.  Born July 25, 1923 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Nicholas G. and Anna (Barcic) Barchie.  A US Navy Veteran of World War II and retiree from US Steel National Tube Works in McKeesport, James was a member of St. Patrick's Parish, and its Holy Name Society and ushers' group there, and the former Sacred Heart Parish.  He was a graduate of McKeesport High School and member of the Greek Catholic Union, CFU Lodge #3 of McKeesport, American Legion #701 of White Oak, Club Dobrotvor, and the AARPs of Versailles and White Oak.  James also volunteered at Kane Regional Center, Auberle, and The Intersection, all in McKeesport.

William "Bill" Cole, Jr. was called home by the Father on Thursday, March 28, 2019. Bill was a husband, father and friend.  He was also a car enthusiast through and through. Bill enjoyed all things automotive and passed that passion to his sons. He was a creative handyman and could fix just about anything. Bill had a solid career as a research technician at the US Steel Research facility in Monroeville, PA.
