George E. Seman, 82, of McKeesport, formerly of Elizabeth Township, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023. He was born February 16, 1941 in McKeesport and was the son of the late George and Marie E. (Semago) Seman. He was the husband of the late Virginia Fields (MacFarlane) Seman, who passed away in 2012. George was raised in Glassport and went on the graduate from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. He went on to work for Westinghouse as a graphic engineer for over 30 years. George loved dogs and children. He took great pride in being infantile and was a kid at heart. He was a kind, giving and gentle soul and will be greatly missed.

D. Anthony "Tony" Consales, 98, of White Oak, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2023 at home. He was born in McKeesport on February 24, 1925 and was the son of the late Ben and Mary (Capasso) Consales.
Tony was a World War II US Army Veteran who had served under General George Patton in the 4th Armored Division, US 3rd Army. He fought in 5 major battles: Normandy, Northern France, Central Europe Ardennes-Alsace, The Battle of the Bulge in Belgium and Rhineland, Germany. For his service he was awarded many medals and campaign ribbons, including The Distinguished Presidential Citation. Upon returning home he worked with his father doing construction for their company, the former Eagle Construction. He then went on to work as a foreman for Levinson Steel and also worked in home remodeling until he was 85 years old. Tony was also a scratch golfer in his early years and averaged 200 + a game bowler in numerous traveling men's leagues. He also enjoyed ballroom and square dancing. He was a very charismatic person who could have a great conversation with anyone and strived for perfection in all that he did. He loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchild and will be greatly missed by all.

Peter Vasilas, 65, of White Oak, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2023. He was born July 20, 1957 in McKeesport and was the son of Alice (Koteros) Vasilas of White Oak and the late Theodore Peter Vasilas. He was a member of the Annunciation of the Greek Orthodox Church in White Oak and was retired from the Dietary Dept. of UPMC McKeesport Hospital. Peter is survived by his cousins, William C. (Michelle) Chuleas and their son Carlin of Flint, MI, and Phyllis (Mace) Matiosian of Santa Barbara, CA; and a niece, Alice Matiosian. Douglas "DR" Williams, 75, of Penn Hills, passed away suddenly Monday, March 6, 2023 at home. He was born August 30, 1947 in Lexington, KY and was the son of Ondeine E. (Rau) Williams of Penn Hills and the late Bill L. Williams. DR was a US Army Veteran during the Vietnam War and enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and animals, especially his cat, "Pretty Girl". He will be greatly missed. In addition to his mother, he is survived by sister, Bari (Vince) Veltre of White Oak; brother, Richard (Becky) Williams of Loris, SC; and nieces and nephews. Plum who passed away June 5, 2018. They were married 59 years. She was a member of the Mount Vernon Community Presbyterian Church, Twentieth Century Club of McKeesport, and the Youghiogheny Country Club where she was a former 9 Hole Golfer and was in the former Ladies Bowling League. Lynne was also a former member of the McKeesport Hospital Junior Committee and a former volunteer for Meals on Wheels.

Linda M. "Lu Lu" Hippard, 73, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2023. She was born April 25, 1949 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Earl and Mary (Trainor) Leyland. She was a member of Sts. Joachim and Anne Parish, St. Michael Church, Elizabeth Township and was a 1967 graduate and class vice-president of the former St. Peter's High School in McKeesport. Her unwavering Catholic faith carried her through life and she prayed the Rosary daily. She had a sucessful career in banking that began in Pittsburgh with the former Union National Bank and ended in Florida with Bank of America. After her retirement, she returned to Elizabeth Township where she found joy caring for home bound seniors, the sick, and those with disabilities. Through this she made many friends. She was also a member and former treasurer of the Mon-Yough Trail Council. She will be missed by her loyal, spoiled, loving furbaby, Abby, who was always by her side and was a source of comfort in times of sickness. Linda was grateful knowing her friends, Judy, Jacie and Marei who cared for Abby during hospital stays will continue to love and care for Abby. Linda will be missed by her many friends who loved her as family. If you were fortunate enough to know Linda you would certainly agree that she never met a stranger. They were merely a friend she hadn't met. In most cases they became friends. She always saw the good in people even when the rest of us couldn't.

Thomas W. “Tom” Kadar, Sr., 70, of Charleroi, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2023 at home. He was born May 30, 1952 in Elizabeth and was the son of the late Peter and Suzanne (Berchok) Kadar. He was the husband of 24 years to the late Donna Lynn Kadar, who passed away May 25, 2017. Tom worked as a long-haul truck driver for many years and owned and operated his own truck. He loved to hang out with his buddies at Jones’ Salvage Yard and was also a member of the Buena Vista Fire Hall. Tom enjoyed racing, going to races and watching his son, Tom Jr., race his car. He also was an avid TV watcher, which he affectionately called “The Tube”. Tom was the best husband, father and pappy anyone could ever ask for and enjoyed going out to lunch and dinner with his family and attending his grandkid’s sporting events. He will be greatly missed.

William Peter "Bill" Kostyzak, Sr., 86, of Glassport, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2023. He was born August 12, 1936 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Peter and Ruth (Gross) Kostyzak. Bill retired from Copperweld after many years of service. Bill enjoyed playing golf, his favorite courses were Butler's and Seven Springs. He was a jack of all trades and could fix anything around the house, including the plumbing and electrical. He was known for his singing and his skill in leather working. He had a great sense of humor and will be very missed. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Enise M. (Donofrio) Kostyzak; son, Michael R. Kostyzak of Glassport; sister, Ruth Ann Kostyzak of McMurray; grandchildren, Billy, Brad, Brianna, Richie and Dania Kostyzak; great-grandchildren, Richie, Ava and Anya, as well as nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Richard Kostyzak and William Kostyzak, Jr and his brother, Richard Kostyzak. There is no visitation or services planned. Harry Jay Naulder, 65, of Elizabeth, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2023. He was born in McKeesport on September 4, 1957 and was the son of the late Harry Jay Naulder, Jr. and the late Gail (Morrison) Naulder. He was the husband to the late Lois J. Naulder before her passing in December of 2015. Jay was a graduate of South Allegheny High School. He worked many years as a Truck Driver for Amrox, transporting major chemicals around the area. Hard-working, generous, and so very giving, Jay was a huge family man, and all around a good time. He was especially proud of his son, John. He loved spending time with his grandkids, enjoyed watching sports, going hunting & fishing, but his all time favorite was taking out his Harley or Corvette for joy rides.

Kevin Donald Kvarta, 31, of Irwin, passed away Saturday, March 4, 2023. He was born April 15, 1991 in Pittsburgh and is the son to Donald Keith Kvarta and Mary Judith (Abromitis) Douglass. Kevin was a caring soul. He always wanted to lend a helping hand, often putting others before himself. He attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh for Creative Writing, and was very artistic. He created many art pieces, and shared many poems with his family and friends, and even learned a little Japanese in his studies. Kevin also loved gaming; creating storylines, characters, and even the game maps, his artistic ability made all of his thoughts come to life. He worked at Forbes Hospital in the C.S.P. and then moved onto Giant Eagle where he worked in the Deli.
