Janet Marlene (Gessner) Reynolds, 92, of North Versailles, formerly of Christy Park, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2023. She was born April 10, 1931 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Albert and Cora Lois (Rankin) Gessner. She was the loving wife of the late Roland H. Reynolds who passed away June 29, 2017. Janet was a life member and former church organist and choir director of the Christy Park United Methodist Church. She was the Executive Secretary to the Plant Manager of the former US Steel National Tube Works.

Glenn E. McLaughlin, 94 of Monroeville, formerly of Liberty Boro, passed away Monday, April 24, 2023. He was born December 17, 1928 in McKeesport and was the son of the late James J. and Clara (Kappler) McLaughlin. Glenn was a US ARMY Veteran. Glenn worked for and retired from US Steel after many years of service. During his tenure he worked in the Christy Park and at the research center in Monroeville locations. He would also work for Airestech in Monroeville after his retirement. He was a jack of all trades and would help anyone with anything. Glenn also enjoyed traveling with his family throughout the United States and enjoyed bowling with his friends every Thursday at the former Monroebowl. He will be greatly missed.

A Pastor for 20+ years at the Church of the Brethren, a talented Secular singer through the 50s & 60s, and a wonderful Gospel singer, who started and was a part of numerous groups, including the "Lovetones" with his wife, Judy. A skilled craftsman, Larry was always willing to lend a hand and offered to help with many home remodel projects. He enjoyed landscaping and planting flowers, as well as fishing.

Barbara M. Romesburg, 76, of Lincoln Borough, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2023. She was born in McKeesport on September 6, 1946 and was the daughter to the late Edward and Mary (Furman) Szmuc. Barb was retired from a long time career in the 'Better Sportswear' division at Kaufmann's in Century III. She loved to sit in the sun and read a good book; enjoying time with her grandchildren and taking them to different places, like mini-golf or the aviary; but she also loved the ocean and the family's annual trip to Myrtle Beach.

Larry Stewart Armstrong, 73, of Duquesne, passed away Monday, April 3, 2023. He was born November 24, 1949 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Arthur and Enid Marie (Stewart) Armstrong. Larry worked for over 21 years as a machinist for Westinghouse and later as a driver for numerous transportation companies. He loved baseball, especially the Pittsburgh Pirates and also enjoyed reading and learning about history. Most importantly he loved his wife, children and grandchildren and will be deeply missed. He is survived by his soul mate and wife of 53 years, Audrey F. (Yesensky) Armstrong; daughter, Shannon (Daniel) Schultz of North Huntingdon; son, Larry S. (Dawn) Armstrong, Jr. of Baltimore, MD; grandchildren, Hannah, Dane, Ethan, Dusk and Riley; a sister-in-law, Peggy Armstrong and 3 nieces. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, David Armstrong. There is no visitation. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date. She was the wife of the late Michael Vincent Sotak who passed away February 8, 2007. Dorothy was a member of the former Holy Trinity Church in McKeesport and was the Reunion Treasurer for the McKeesport High School Class of 1947. She enjoyed Line Dancing, Ceramics, and her Slovak Heritage and Food.

She worked many years as a phlebotomist for McKeesport Hospital; and she also was the proprietor of the Pet Boutique in Charleroi. A long time member of the Boston United Methodist Church and former member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Central Volunteer Fire Co, and a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

George E. Seman, 82, of McKeesport, formerly of Elizabeth Township, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2023. He was born February 16, 1941 in McKeesport and was the son of the late George and Marie E. (Semago) Seman. He was the husband of the late Virginia Fields (MacFarlane) Seman, who passed away in 2012. George was raised in Glassport and went on the graduate from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. He went on to work for Westinghouse as a graphic engineer for over 30 years. George loved dogs and children. He took great pride in being infantile and was a kid at heart. He was a kind, giving and gentle soul and will be greatly missed.

D. Anthony "Tony" Consales, 98, of White Oak, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2023 at home. He was born in McKeesport on February 24, 1925 and was the son of the late Ben and Mary (Capasso) Consales.
Tony was a World War II US Army Veteran who had served under General George Patton in the 4th Armored Division, US 3rd Army. He fought in 5 major battles: Normandy, Northern France, Central Europe Ardennes-Alsace, The Battle of the Bulge in Belgium and Rhineland, Germany. For his service he was awarded many medals and campaign ribbons, including The Distinguished Presidential Citation. Upon returning home he worked with his father doing construction for their company, the former Eagle Construction. He then went on to work as a foreman for Levinson Steel and also worked in home remodeling until he was 85 years old. Tony was also a scratch golfer in his early years and averaged 200 + a game bowler in numerous traveling men's leagues. He also enjoyed ballroom and square dancing. He was a very charismatic person who could have a great conversation with anyone and strived for perfection in all that he did. He loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchild and will be greatly missed by all.
