Judy Ann Ricciotti, 88, of McKeesport, passed away Saturday, July 13, 2024. Born April 21, 1936 in McKeesport, Judy was a lifelong resident of the area. She was the daughter of the late James R. and Mary Virginia (Campbell) Giles. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles Ricciotti, with whom she shared 52 wonderful years of marriage with. A proud graduate of McKeesport High School, Judy went on to enjoy a long and fulfilling career in the Mortgage Department at PNC. After retiring, she continued to engage with her community by working as a food sample presenter at Costco, where she delighted in sharing new tastes and friendly conversation. An active member of the Italian Sons and Daughters of America (ISDA) - Judy cherished her heritage and made lasting friendships - a member of the McKeesport Class of '54 Reunion Committee. As well as a lifelong parishioner at Mary, Mother of God Parish-St. Patrick's in McKeesport. Her faith was an important part of her life.

Judy Yvonne Zeman, 85, of McKeesport, passed away Tuesday, July 9, 2024. She was born July 30, 1938 in Pittsburgh and was the daughter of the late George and Naomi (Brenthover) Arnal. Judy was a retired school teacher and had worked in the Vandergrift School District and the Wattsburg School District. She was a member of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church, Greenock and was a graduate of Thiel College. She is survived by her husband, The Rev. Frank L. Zeman. She was preceded in death by her brother, Rev. Dr. Oscar Cole-Arnal. Friends are welcome Thursday, July 11, 2014 from 11am to 1 pm at Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church. Funeral Service will be begin there at 1 pm. The Rev. Scott Bryte will be officiating. Interment will follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery, North Versailles. Kathleen Joan Freismuth, 87, of O'Hara Township, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2024. She was born January 7, 1937 in Pittsburgh and was the daughter of the late Raymond and Theresa (Piller) Milcic. She was the wife of the late Bernard Willis Freismuth. She received her Bachelors in Education from Duquesne University. Kathleen began her career as a Elementary School Teacher in the Pittsburgh Public Schools. She later became a Special Needs Instructor, there. She is survived by her sons, Bernard R. (Sandra) of Gibsonia, and Kurt W. (Deborah) Freismuth of O'Hara Township, daughter, Jenifer (Chris) Palazzo of Saxonburg, , sister, Thelma Milcic of Pittsburgh, grandchildren, Kristina Freismuth, Stephanie Freismuth, Kurt Freismuth, and Jonathan Freismuth, nieces and nephews. Carl S. "Sam" Folk, Sr., 86 of Bunola, passed away Friday, July 5, 2024 at home surrounded by his family and loved ones. He was born in Juniata County on November 9, 1937 and was the son of the late Clarence and Ruth (Mason) Folk. Sam worked for 35+ years for Port Authority as an Assignment Shifter, scheduling hundreds of bus routes and keeping track of each bus coming and going out of the garage. He was also simultaneously part owner, alongside his brother-in-law, Ted, of Allegheny Landscaping. Eventually retiring in 1994, Sam always kept busy outside - cutting grass, splitting wood, supervising side jobs, but most importantly enjoying time with his family poolside and vacations to the beach. Those who were close to him knew he had the biggest sweet tooth- a large sheet cake was always on the menu for family gatherings.

Monica Elayne Faulk, beloved daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 4th, 2024, at the age of 42, from complications of Cushing's Disease. Monica’s kindness was reflected in her wish to be an organ donor as she had a rare blood type (b negative). Among other organs, we know that she was able to donate her liver, heart valves, and kidneys to individuals desperate for this gift of life. Monica grew up in Stahlstown/Ligonier, Pennsylvania, where she spent her childhood surrounded by the love of her parents, Rebecca and Gregory Faulk, and her brother, Denver Faulk. She graduated from Greensburg Central Catholic High School and later pursued her education at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. Through education, she nurtured her passion for learning and community. Throughout her life, Monica enjoyed modeling. She cherished moments singing karaoke with her friends and finding joy in music. She held a special bond with her grandmother, Dorothea Miller (Latrobe, PA), often sharing evenings playing cards and reminiscing about cherished family memories. An adventurous spirit, Monica found great pleasure in riding with her father on his motorcycle. She was a lifelong Pittsburgh Steelers fan and loved watching their games and cheering them on. Monica's love for warm sunny weather and the beach was a constant source of joy and relaxation in her life. Monica is preceded in death by her brother, Carey Slezak, maternal grandfather, Homer Miller, and paternal grandparents, Edward and Trudy Faulk.

Alice Vasilas, 95, of White Oak, passed away Friday, June 28, 2024. She was born October 1, 1928 in Mytilene, Greece and was the daughter of the late Eleutherios and Eleni (Sofianos) Koteros. She was the wife of the late Theodore Peter Vasilas. In addition to her parents and husband, she is also preceded in death by her son, Peter Vasilas. Alice was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, White Oak and was also a member of the Philoptochos Society there and she won the St. Photis award for 'Outstanding Parishioner' awarded by the Greek Orthodox Metropolitan of Pennsylvania. Thia Alice was a seamstress extraordinaire for 20 plus years for the Kaufmann's Department Store. Her baking of Greek pastries for her family, friends and church functions was her specialty - enjoyed by all! The family extends a special thanks to Sylvia and Stella Stratigos for all of those trips / Greek parties for Thia at both nursing homes.

James “Jimmy” or “Hank” Gaudy, of White Oak, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 27, 2024, surrounded by his loving family and friends. Born on October 28, 1932, in McKeesport, James was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Helen (Barey) Gaudy, sister, Jean, and dear longtime family friends Harold W. “Chick” and Lavona (Ratzer) Douglas, and Terri (Douglas) Kevana. James, a 1951 graduate of McKeesport High School, served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War alongside his twin brother, Joseph “Joe,” as a member of the 3rd Division Honor Guard. Subsequently, James worked as a Foreman at First Sterling Inc. and AMO Industries. James will be remembered as a devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend who would do anything to help those he loved. Although he was a man of few words, his actions expressed his love for those around him. He was also an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, spending many happy hours watching games with his family and friends.

Robert served as a Police Officer for 28 years for Port Authority. William Todd Byers, 59, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2024. He was born July 26, 1964 in McKeesport, and is the son of Janet (Finfinger) Byers and the late William John Byers. A decorated Naval Officer, now a Veteran - William worked served for 26 years in the military. He loved golfing and most importantly, he loved spending time with his grandson, Jaxson. He just enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends. William is survived by his wife, Melissa (Coogan) Byers; daughters, Kassidy Byers of San Diego, CA and Hailey Byers of Rostraver Township; sisters, Sharon Raczkowski of Oakmont, and Kim (John) Echols of Ohio; and by his grandson, Jaxson Byers; along with many nieces and nephews. Martin E. Orendt, 78 of Wilmington, NC, formerly of North Huntingdon, PA and North Ridgeville, OH, passed away peacefully Monday, June 10, 2024 at his residence. He was born on January 14, 1946 in Munich, Germany and was the son of the late Andreas and Sara (Falschissel) Orendt. Martin was the husband of 50 years, to the late Judith Ann (Carlson) Orendt, who passed away December 2, 2017. Martin enjoyed fishing, woodworking, and most of all spending time with his cherished granddaughter, Mackenzie. He will be greatly missed. David Samuel Gilbert, III., 72, of Kintnersville, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, June 12, 2024. He was born on October 29, 1951 in McKeesport, and was the son of the late David Samuel Jr., and Dorothy (Rudd) Gilbert. David was a graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School, Ambassador College in Pasadena, CA, and Biblical Theological Seminary in Hatfield, PA. He served his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, as a pastor for 40 years leading churches in Ohio, Iowa, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Most recently he served as administrative pastor of Calvary Chapel Central Bucks in Chalfont, PA. He was a talented singer and lover of worship music. He was also an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He was the loving husband of 48 years to Hinka (DeVlugt) Gilbert.
