Charlene R. Urda, age 85, of North Braddock, passed away on July 18, 2022, at Walden’s View of North Huntingdon. Daughter of the late Stanley and Mary Catherine (Baker) Mikolaczyk, she was born in Braddock on January 26, 1937. Charlene was a supervisor at Dipcraft Manufacturing Co., a member of Good Shepherd Church of St. Joseph the Worker Parish, where she was a Eucharistic Minister and a member of the Good Shepherd Women’s Guild and Ladies of Charity. She was the wife of the late George Urda; mother of Renee N. (David) Janov of North Huntingdon, Deborah J. (late Stanley) Wood of Louisville, KY, Cynthia J. (Thomas) Connelly of Forest Hills and Jacqueline A. (Donald) Redinger of Castle Shannon; grandmother of Amanda Janov, Dana (Ed) Dowd, Danielle (fiancé Matthew Clary) Redinger, Zachary Connelly, Donnie Redinger, Andrew Connelly  and Jason Redinger; great grandmother of Ava Dowd, Maks Dowd, Lily Dowd, Crimsyn Clary and late Alessia Clary; sister of Donna Blum of Santa Rosa, CA, late Stanley Mikolaczyk and late Sandra (husband Robert survives) Skendrovich. Kenneth J. Petruska, age 80, of West Mifflin, passed away on July 18, 2022 at Jefferson Hospital. Born in McKeesport on July 15, 1942, he was the son of the late Joseph and Dorothy (Price) Petruska. He was retired from Courier Express and previously worked at J & L Steel and U.S. Steel-Duquesne Works. Ken also delivered flowers for Matta’s Florist and was an avid Steeler fan. He is the beloved husband of 55 years to Cheryl (Kmetz) Petruska. He was the brother of the late Joseph “Buddy” Petruska. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and his cat Cali. Philomena E. “Phil” Howard, age 101, of West Mifflin, passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on Sunday, July 17, 2022. Born in West Mifflin on January 8,1921, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Catherine (Andres) Bost. Philomena was a longtime housekeeper at St. Agnes Parish and during WW II she worked at U.S. Steel-Duquesne Works, where she met her husband. She was a member of St. Thomas Parish-St. Agnes Church, a distinguished graduate of St. Agnes Grade School, an avid Pirate fan, hosted many Christmas Eve celebrations and Sunday Steelers game parties. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was the wife of the late James Howard; mother of James F.  (Carol) Howard of West Mifflin, Terrence D. (Jean) Howard of West Mifflin, Patricia H. (Tom) Klocko of West Mifflin, and Susan M. Howard of West Mifflin; grandmother of James “Murt” Howard, Andrew Howard, Megan Howard, Mariah Howard, and Daniel Howard. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers and sisters, John (Mary) Bost, Catherine (Andrew) Noll, Albert Bost, Alberta (James) Budai, Mary (Tony) Albrecht, Rinehart (Betty) Bost, Cecelia “Sis” (William “Chip”) Chobirko, and Rose (George) Sovich. Louise Ann Brendza, age 58, of West Mifflin, passed away on January 15, 2022, in Forbes Hospital. Born in McKeesport on December 18, 1963, she was the daughter of the late Anthony James and Ann Marie (Patrick) Brendza Sr. Louise loved to bake and loved children. She is the fiancé of Peter Mazzarese; sister of Susan (Dale) Schreckengost of Imperial, PA, David (Nadine) Brendza of Augusta, GA, Robert (Kathy) Brendza of Belmont, CA, and the late Anthony Brendza Jr. 

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2022.  The family will be receiving friends beginning at 10:00 AM with a Blessing service at 11:00 AM, with Deacon Dan D’Antonio officiating, in the MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 915 KENNEDY AVE., DUQUESNE, 15110, 412-466-3300, WILLIAM B. Roy D. Meyer Sr., age 77, of West Mifflin, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at home. Born in Homestead on April 17, 1945, he was the son of the late Nevin Meyer Sr. and the late Gloria (Fricke) Nodd. Roy was a retired carpenter having worked at various construction companies in Pittsburgh and Richmond, VA. He was a former member of Immanuel Presbyterian Church in McKeesport and the First Presbyterian Church in Duquesne, where he was an elder. He also attended culinary school, was a humanitarian, had a tremendous sense of humor, was always very funny, was a master joke teller and had thousands of jokes.  He loved to dance with his wife, enjoyed traveling, fishing, throwing darts, ice and roller skating. A friend to all, he was a member of the Dravosburg American Legion, American Croatian Club in Duquesne, the Prince Humbert Club and was an honor graduate of Schwaub Technical School. Roy is the loving and devoted husband, for 33 years, of Donna (Scerba) Meyer and was a loving son, father, brother, grandfather and uncle. There will be no services or visitation. William C. Faith, age 79, of West Mifflin, passed away on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 19, 2022.  Born in West Mifflin on March 14, 1943, he was the son of the late Peter J. and Lydia Marie (Miller) Faith. He was retired from Mesta Machine as a lathe operator and later did landscaping and mechanical work. He was a member of the Terrace Church of the Nazarene and was a volunteer firefighter with the West Mifflin Volunteer Fire Department, Homeville. He proudly served his country in the Army during the Vietnam War (1961-1964). He is survived by his children, Melissa (Jesse) Reid of Plum Boro and Chrystal Faith of West Mifflin; granddaughter, Starr (Chris) Demeri; great granddaughter, Jaycee Faith Demeri; and sister, Dorathy Marie (Charles) Youngfleisch of Schellsburg, PA. He was predeceased by brothers and sisters, Lois (late Charles “Tex”) Gwinn, Marian (late Clyde) Kahn, Eleanor (late Paul) Bickerton, Peter J. (Late Iva) Faith, Albert Faith and Florence (husband Joe survives) Utterback of Plum Boro. She was a retired registrar for Duquesne University, a member of St. Agnes Church of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish, and she volunteered at the former St. Agnes School in West Mifflin. Pat loved her family more than anything, especially her grandchildren.

She was the beloved wife of William D. Jakub for 59 years; mother of Joell (Mack) McSheehy of Monroeville and Jill (Jay) McKelvey of Greenock; grandmother of Collin McSheehy, Courtney McSheehy, Jaymee McKelvey and Jakub McKelvey; great grandmother of Ella Joell; and sister of Geraldine (late Harry) Reilly of Idaho Falls, ID.

Born in McKeesport, on September 4, 1937, he was the son of the late Charles and Ann (Cerra) Ginardi. He was a retired product sales manager for U.S. Steel, was a former member of St. Joseph Church, Duquesne, a member of the Jacktown Ride and Hunt Club and a member of the Irwin Police Athletic Association. He was an avid golfer, with a hole in one at Whispering Pines Golf Course in Myrtle Beach, SC. He proudly served his country in the Army. He was the beloved husband of 63 years to the late Carol W. (Wabrick) Ginardi; father of Joni Ginardi Lee of Monongahela, Charles A. Ginardi Jr. of North Huntingdon, Gina L. Ginardi of Homestead, PA and Anita C. (late Larry) Wallace of South Carolina; 7 grandchildren- Jen, Charla, Ashley, Chelsea, Ryan, Hayley and Leah; 9 great grandchildren; and brother, Raymond A. Ginardi of Florida. She is the beloved wife of Stephan A. He was a retired molder from Bucyrus Erie in Glassport, a member of the Port Vue United Methodist Church, a member of the American Legion-Dravosburg, and a life member of the Youngwood Volunteer Fire Department. He is survived by his special friend, Linda Jean Davis, of Port Vue; 3 grandchildren, Anthony (Jennifer) Bollinger, Joseph Kruszka, and Jennifer (Nicholas) Marucci; and 12 great grandchildren.
