Albert P. Oeler, of West Mifflin, died Thursday, Jan. 21, 2016. Well, this was bound to happen. So if you're reading this, you know my status of living has changed. I was born Wednesday, Oct. 9, 1918, in Nick Lee Hollow along the Thompson Run Creek in the City of Duquesne. I was the first-born son of Albert and Veronica (Weber) Oeler. My grandparents were John and Elizabeth (Sonderegger) Oeler and Joseph and Theresa (Goldbach) Weber.

Mary Anne Sekely, 63, of West Mifflin, died Sunday, Jan. 17, 2016, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center. She was born Oct. 11, 1952, in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late Vincent and Marie (Hammond) Hammer. She was a bookkeeper at Iron City Uniform Rental. She was a member of St. Joseph Church, Duquesne, and former member of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers and Guild. She was a moderator for the former youth group at St. Joseph Church. She was very proud that all three of her sons had served in the military. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank W. Sekely; mother of Frank Sekely, of West Mifflin, Theresa Sekely, of West Mifflin, Joseph (Cristin) Sekely, of Monroeville, and Thomas (Christy) Sekely, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; grandmother of Dawsen Hudson, Josiah Sekely, Kaiden Sekely, Emma Sekely, Rylan Sekely, Sylas Sekely, Falyn Sekely and Shelby Sekely; and sister of Vincent (Kathleen) Hammer, of Mt. Lebanon, and Eileen (James) Ondish, of North Huntingdon.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 21, 2016, in MALOY-SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME INC., 915 Kennedy Ave., Duquesne, 412-466-3300, William B. Schleifer, supervisor, William Brian Schleifer, funeral director. A blessing service will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 22, 2016, at the funeral home, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph Church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Pittsburgh.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
