Annie Faye Robinson Thomas, 80, died May 24, 2020.
She was born May 16, 1940 in Whittakers, Nash County, N.C., the daughter of Geneva and Eddie Robinson, and moved to Pittsburgh at age 15 to live with her uncle, Lonnie Broddie, and his wife, Mary Esther Broddie.
She is survived by children Silko Renaldo Thomas, Antoinette “Toni” Thomas and Mary Elizabeth Thomas-Man; son-in-law Doug Man; grandchildren Natalia Thomas, Alicia Walker, Rico Alphonso Walker, Geneva Johnson, Lauren Alexis Thomas, Brandon Silko Thomas, Imani Man and Donovan Man; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Wilber “Uncle Mickey’ Robinson; and sisters Effie Robinson-Moore, Barbara Robinson, Dianna “Aunt Shamie” Robinson-Bobbit and Louise “Aunt Neal” Robinson.

Bernice Truesdale, 95, loving daughter of the late James and Elizan Smith, departed this life on May 5, 2020 at Kane Regional Medical Center, McKeesport.
“Mrs. Bernice” was born on July 8, 1924, in Sumter, South Carolina. In 1940, she met and married Henry Truesdale in Sumter, South Carolina. Shortly thereafter, they joined the Great Migration and came North, seeking a better life. They eventually settled in Duquesne, Pa. where they became staunch members of Macedonia Baptist Church. Their union produced 5 children: Henrietta, Doris Ann, Larry, Veneda and Delores. While raising their 5 children, Bernice was also employed for many years first at Presbyterian Hospital, then McKeesport Hospital until she retired.

Aaron White was born on March 26, 1943 to the late John Thomas and Anna Lou White. He peacefully passed away in his home on April 27, 2020. He was also preceded in death by his brother’s Andrew White, John White and sister Mary (White) Dumas.
Aaron was a graduate of Clairton High School. He joined the United States Marine Corps for four years. He served a tour in Vietnam and was honorably discharged. After his time in the Marine Corps, he was a former police officer in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He also worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Washington, D.C. Aaron enjoyed playing cards and loved reading novels. He was a man of many talents, one of them included fixing cars.

Wilson Jefferson Reaves, of Clairton, Pennsylvania, departed this life in AHN Jefferson Hospital on Tuesday, April 28, 2020. Wilson was born May 10, 1934, in Philadelphia, PA, to the late Fredrick O. Jefferson and Florine R. Macklin Jefferson. He was the second of four children. His son, Wilson Jefferson Reaves III; daughter, Stacie Ann Reaves; brother, Elbert, and sister, Charmaine McCormick, preceded him in death.
Wilson, affectionately known as Buzzy or Buzz, was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. He was educated in the Philadelphia Public Schools. He joined the Air Force in 1956. After returning home, he worked several jobs until he became a mail handler for the U. S. Postal Service; from there he retired. Buzz later met and married Wilma J. Ellis of Clairton, PA. Both were avid bowlers and together won many tournaments and trophies.

Adele Marie Webb, 89, died April 23, 2020. Some called her Del and others Ms. Webb, but all knew her as a loving, generous force of nature despite her often quiet demeanor.
Adele Webb was a New Orleans, La., native who migrated north to Clairton, Pa., to raise her family. She met her husband English Webb Jr., while he was studying at Xavier University School of Pharmacology. English and Adele married May 13, 1950 and was married for 66 years. Adele is survived by three sons, English, Joseph, Isaac and three daughters, Alita, Julie and Treena.

On Monday, April 20, 2020, Eugene Ralph Marshall (Babe), loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and cousin, passed away at the age of 88.
Babe was born on October 12, 1931, in Clairton PA to the late Albert and Lillie Marshall. After graduating from Clairton High School, he attended Howard University for two years and served in the United States Army. Babe returned to Clairton to own and operate the Schmidt Hotel for a number of years before working and retiring from United States Steel Coke Works in Clairton. He later obtained a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh.

Mary Magalene Long, born August 5, 1922, in Salisbury, North Carolina to the late Savilla Bell Alexander, departed this life peacefully on April 12, 2020, at the Family Hospice Center, Pittsburgh, PA. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Long.
A woman of faith, Mrs. Mary worshipped at Payne Chapel A.M.E for many years. She served on the Senior Usher Board and sang with the Martineer Choir. Although she is absent from the body, and present with the Lord, her memories live on in her children, Edward Alexander of McKeesport and Ruth Holmes of West Mifflin; 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; brothers, Martin and Norris Alexander; extended family and friends.

Robin Bush, 56, born November 28, 1963 to the late Carl Bush and Shirley Ballard, departed this life on April 11, 2020 at UPMC. Robin was raised in Clairton from a young age and was a 1982 graduate of Clairton High School. She went on to obtain a BA degree in Fashion Design with a minor in Accounting from IUP. Robin, known to those who loved her as “Shake” lived her life to the fullest. She was forever encouraging her family and friends to do the same. She was a fabulous and devoted mother to her sons, Miles and VJ. She was a daughter, cousin, friend, confident, and guider to many. Robin was a fighter.

Mrs. Frances Brown Booker, 93, of Clairton, Pa departed this life peacefully on Saturday, April 4, 2020, in Manor Care Whitehall, PA. She was born May 3, 1926, in Clairton. She was the third of twelve children born to Deacon Richard and Sister Agganora Pipkin Brown. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years Deacon Joseph Booker, her parents, son, Dr. Joseph Booker, daughter, Marlene "Cricket" Moore, brothers, Elder James Willie Brown, Dr. Richard Brown, Jr., Dr. Charles Curtis Brown, Sr., and Elder Robert Lewis "Cee" Brown.
She was a lifelong member of the Clairton Church of God in Christ, later renamed Gethsemane C.O.G.I.C, having been born the year the church started in Lincoln way. She served as a Sunday School teacher and church secretary under then Pastor Elder Ithiel C. Clemmons, She was more recently appointed Church Mother under current Pastor and her youngest brother, Dr. Melvin Brown, Sr.

Benjamin Cooper departed this life on April 7, 2020, peacefully with his wife by his side; he was born on November 5, 1937 in McKeesport to the late Benjamin Cooper Sr., & Bernice Bostic Cooper Davis and was preceded in death by his daughter Kamala Cooper Hamilton.
He enlisted in the army and subsequently the air force. He was employed by MARK Construction for 20 years and part of many projects such as: High View Gardens (apartments), Duquesne University (dormitories), Clairton Municipal Building and various projects throughout various states: North Carolina, Mississippi and Louisiana.
He retired from McKeesport School District where he was a Grounds Keeper of 10 years.

Theresa Renee Spell, 58, of McKeesport, was born on March 30, 1962 to Willie Mae “Jenny” Stinson and the late Albert Nixon. Absent from the body, but present with the Lord, Theresa passed away on April 5, 2020 at the UMPC McKeesport Hospital.
Theresa, a graduate of McKeesport Area High School where she was a tiger cheerleader, was a Homemaker. She was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She nurtured and filled the home with a joyful spirit. Her voice could be heard through the soulful sounds of Gospel Music.

Helen Lavern Dudley McKissick, 74, of McKeesport, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, April 2, 2020, at home surrounded by her children and loving family members.
Born February 12, 1946, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Walton and Hilda Christian Dudley. Helen attended McKeesport Area School District and was a graduate in 1965.
As a young girl Helen gave her life to Christ, but, being one that didn’t like submersion of water or swim, she was reluctant to be baptized. However, she was elated that she decided to be baptized in October 2018 at Bethlehem Temple Church of Duquesne, and was a joyous member of Payne Chapel AME Church of Duquesne, where she served on the Steward board.

Pearl Mohammed, 89 years old, of West Mifflin, passed away on April 1, 2020 at Jefferson Hospital. The eldest of 14 children. She was also preceded in death by her two sons, Kenny Mohammed and Mikey Ramtahal. She immigrated from Trinidad and Tobago in 1970. She worked for the Spitz family and then for McKeesport Hospital before retiring in 1996. She was a warrior for the Lord teaching bible study at McKeesport YMCA, being a prayer partner at Cornerstone television for over 20 years and becoming an alumnus of Harty Bible School.

Deidre R. Smith joined her Heavenly Father in Heaven on March 30, 2020. She was 64. Deidre was born July 10, 1955 to the late Tony and Marcella Smith in McKeesport, Pennsylvania. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Victor and Gary Smith. Deidre was raised in Clairton, Pennsylvania. Family and friends called her Dee Dee. She attended Clairton High School. She relocated to Los Angeles, California for a short time. For many years, Deidre worked in the healthcare field, it suited her servant's heart.
Deidre loved people, especially her family (nieces and nephews). She can be quoted as saying, “What you cooking?” She had an eye for fashion, always wanted to look good. If she was going out, she had no problem with buying a new outfit. She was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church of Clairton, PA.
