She worked as a trauma nurse at Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh for over 25 years before spending the last 5 years as a nurse educator at Excela Health of Latrobe. She is preceded in death by the wonderful couple that raised her Carl and Mildred Bock. She is survived by her daughter Casey Smith (fiancée Andrew Rogowski) of North Huntingdon.

Lawrence J. Laychak, 68, of North Huntingdon, died Sunday October 8, 2017. He was born April 4, 1949 in McKeesport, a son of the late Joseph and Irene (Vislay) Laychak. He received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh and was a retired physics teacher for Woodland Hills High School. He was a member of St. Agnes Catholic Church, North Huntingdon and loved all outdoor activities especially fishing, hunting, trapping, and golfing with a special group of friends who called themselves the “good guys”. Larry was an army veteran of the Vietnam conflict. He is survived by his loving wife of forty years Kathleen M. (O’Hara) Laychak; his children Mary Elizabeth Laychak and her husband Andrew Odell of Hawaii and Jayne Overturf and her husband Ryan of Boston, MA; his grandson Wesley Lawrence Overturf; and a brother Gerald Laychak of West Mifflin; also sisters and brothers in law; nieces and nephews.

She enjoyed her camp with family and riding motorcycle with her husband. She is survived by her husband of nineteen years Richard A. Sima; her children Amber (Jeremy) Myers of Scottdale and Garrison W. Miller of North Huntingdon; her granddaughter Trinity Lou Myers; and a brother Garrison L. (Candy) Omlor of Kittanning.

He was a veteran of the Merchant Marine and the Army during the occupation forces after WWII, and went on to be a tool and die worker at Fisher Auto Body in Dravosburg before retiring. He enjoyed traveling, especially to his trailer in Holiday, Florida. He was also a past member of the Elks in Harrison City.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Irwin, and participated in the church quilting group. She loved to cook and bake every chance she got. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of over 41 years Glenn C. Piovesan; son David H. Piovesan; sisters Mildred Hrtyanski and Julia Zwald; and brother Julius Hrtyansky. She is survived by her daughter Karen (Gary) Shupe; grandsons Brian (Alisha) Shupe and Steve (Joe Lascar) Shupe.

He was also preceded in death by his wife Mary Jane (Mlinarchik) Cosharek, sons James Cosharek and Kenneth Cosharek, and siblings Ann Lavely, Catherine Cosharek, Michael Cosharek, and Nicholas Cosharek who was killed during WWII. He was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, a retired foreman for U.S. Steel, Vandergrift, and an Army Veteran of WWII participating in the Normandy invasion and the European Theater. He is survived by his children Robert (Charlotte) Cosharek of Blairsville, Eileen (William) Spevak of Tucson, AZ, William Cosharek of North Huntingdon, and Thomas (Missy) Cosharek of Rillton; his grandchildren Rebecca Wiegering, and Elizabeth, John, Janine, Makenzie, and Logan Cosharek; his great grandchildren Alejandro, Gabriella, and Rafael; also numerous nieces and nephews.

Arlene was a member of Greater Works Outreach, Monroeville, where she was a part of the GAP ministry and a spiritual mother to many. She was the former host of Cornerstone Ministries Television, At Home With Arlene Williams, and also a co-host of the Signs and Wonders segment of the television show Real Life at CTV. Arlene had a great love for people and was loved by many. She was an avid Pirates fan.

He was a lifetime member of the VFW in East McKeesport and the American Legion in White Oak and was an avid bowler that enjoyed events with the Senior Bowlers in North Versailles. He was born December 29, 1933 in McKeesport, a son of the late Emmett and Agnes (Bumbarger) Wood and was also preceded in death by a brother Robert Wood. Bill was a graduate of McKeesport High School and received his bachelor’s degree in Theology from Nyack College, Nyack, NY. He served as a Pastor in Christian & Missionary Alliance Churchs for thirty nine years. He served Somerset Alliance Church from 1959 to 1965, Blairsville Alliance Church from 1965 to 1976 and then served as Director of Development at the Christian & Missionary Alliance, Western Pennsylvania District Office from 1976 to 1984. He served as Pastor of Norwin Alliance Church, North Huntingdon, from 1984 until his retirement in 1999 then served as interim pastor after retirement.
