Elvira E. Vickovic, age 99, of Dravosburg, passed away on Friday, September 2, 2022, at UPMC McKeesport. Daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Kasunic, she was born in Lysing #3 in Connellsville, PA, on October 20, 1922. She was a custodian at Duquesne High School and a cook at the Croatian Club in Duquesne. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish-Holy Name Church. She liked to hook rugs, sew, crochet and had traveled around the world. Elvira was the wife of the late Adam Joseph “Specks” Vickovic; mother of Edward J. Vickovic of Dravosburg, Joanne Vickovic of Duquesne, Judith Ann (Allan) Nagel of The Villages, FL, Marie (late James) Ford of West Mifflin, Thomas Vickovic of McKeesport and late Anthony Vickovic; 8 Grandchildren; 2 Great Grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of the Kasunic family. There will be no visitation and burial will be private. Patricia A. “Pat” (Whited) Hunt, age 67, of Dravosburg, passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2022, at Jefferson Hospital. Born in Pittsburgh on January 27, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Stan and Betty (Harper) Whited. She was the assistant manager at the Dollar General in West Mifflin. She was a Born Again Christian, she loved her grandchildren and trips to the casino with her late husband, Don, and her sister-in-law, Judy. Pat was the wife of the late Don Luczak; mother of Georgy (Christy) Hunt Jr. of Baldwin, Tony (Rachel) Hunt of Plum Boro, Tracy (Gary Beayrd) Hunt of Glassport, Bobby (Katy) Hunt of Scottdale, PA and her other son, Big Mike; grandmother of Sarah Ashley, Zachariah, Jeremiah, Isaiah, Raymond, Ruben, Angel, Caiden & Landon Hunt; sister of Stan (Vicki) Whited of Canonsburg and the late Donna (husband Harry survives) Sye. She is also survived by nieces and nephews. Mary Ann (Tomcheck) Beetlestone, age 86, of Clairton, formerly of Glassport, passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at Havencrest Nursing Home in Monongahela. She was a member of the Elizabeth Women’s Auxiliary Club and loved to bake pies, and play cards and bingo. Born February 5, 1936 in Glassport, she was a daughter of the late Martin and Kate (Skalski) Tomcheck and beloved wife of the late Regis C.  Beetlestone. She was the mother of Dean Tomchek of Clairton, Timothy Tomcheck of Jennerstown, Phillip Simpkins of McKeesport and Rose Ann (James DeVault) Simpkins of Clairton; grandmother of Brandon Tomcheck of McKeesport and Thomas (Heather Burnside) Simpkins of Washington, PA. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by siblings, John Gourn, Helen Manetta, Anna DeWalt, Stella Demeri, Nick and Paul Tomcheck, and Frank Futrick. Clifford J. Warner

Clifford J. “Big Cliff” Warner, 74 of Jefferson Hills, formerly of West Mifflin, passed away on Thursday, September 1st, 2022, surrounded by his beloved family at his home. He was born in McKeesport on March 27th, 1948, to the late Clifford R. and Grace Zewe Warner. Clifford was the loving husband of 50 years to Sharon E. Humphrey Warner, who lovingly cared for him in sickness and in health. He is survived by his wife, as well as son Clifford R. (Elizabeth) Warner of Boston and daughter Alethea E. (Alfred) Filippelli of Bethel Park. Further survivors include his sister Evelyn (Mike) Shanley of West Mifflin and grandchildren Olivia, Lexie, Jakob, Lucca, and Lilly, as well as his loving cat Yodi. He was a sergeant in the Air Force during the Vietnam War and later worked as a Union Railroad signalman and Union Chairman for 36 years, sold insurance for A. L. Williams and American General, as well as a bus driver and monitor for Jefferson Hills School District. As the Union Chairman, he fought in Chicago for and obtained Wives’ Pension Eligibility. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen, an active member of the NRA, and was a God fearing Christian and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ in Monongahela. He was passionately involved in both local and state politics, taking a special interest in the Constitution’s Second Amendment rights. He loved spending summers with his family at their cabin, which was his favorite place to be. Clifford was an avid reader who felt passionately about pursuing knowledge. He was a great husband, father, brother, grandfather, and a friend to many, and he will be missed. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the Advanced Home Care nurses and therapist as well as hospice nurse Debbie. They would also like to thank Jared Nolfi, Ed Donkin, Bob Nicklow, and friends at the bus garage. Special thanks to Tammy and Jamie, who worked with Clifford for 7 years, as well as Dr. Mitro from Davita Clinic. Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, September 6th, 2022, from 2-4 P.M and 6-8 P.M at S.M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N. 6th Street, Clairton, PA 15025. Catherine B. West, age 71 of Versailles, passed away at home on Thursday, September 1, 2022.  Born September 5, 1950 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Herbert C. and Mary C. (Rodman) West.  A member of Mary, Mother of God Parish - Corpus Christi Church, Catherine worked as a computer technician for many years, first with G.C. Murphy and Co., then Sargent Electric, and then heading the computer room at Braddock Hospital.  She finished her work life at WalMart.  As a child, she was a Girl Scout and McKeesport Majorette Drill Team member, and was also a proud Gold Star Family member.  Besides her parents, Catherine was predeceased by her brother James E. West, USMC, who died in the Vietnam War.  She is survived by her brothers Officer Thomas West, McKeesport PD of McKeesport and Jay (Nadine) West, USMC of Greenock; her nephew Justin Richel; her niece Phalyn (Bob) Richel Lewis; and her great-nephews-and-nieces Austin, Chase, Lexie, Teegan, and Shawn.

Donald L. Johnson, age 78, of Lincoln Borough, passed away on Thursday, September 1, 2022 at UPMC East. A Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, he retired as an electronic technician for Westinghouse Seimans in Oakdale. He attended Glassport United Methodist Church and was a member of American Legion Post 801 in Roscoe and the Elizabeth Twp. Sportsman’s Association. Born November 16, 1943 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Arthur and Dora (Stoops) Johnson. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, M. Kathleen  (Bennett) Holmes Johnson; daughters, Tammy (Ken) Argyros of Elizabeth, Donald (Christene) Holmes of Liberty Borough, Patricia (Thomas) Yeager of Lincoln Borough and Denise (Joe) Gray of Allenport; grandchildren, Amy (Jesse), Seth (Stacey), Jesse (Alex), April (Matt), Tyler (Taylor), Amanda, Ashley (Brandon), Victoria (Nick), Alexis (Matthew) and Alayna; 13 great-grandchildren; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Daniel Johnson, and brothers, Tilden and William Johnson. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Dolores Irene Waskowitz, 92, and a lifetime resident of Port Vue, died Sunday, August 28, 2022, under hospice care at Overlook Green Senior Living in Whitehall, PA.
Born March 11, 1930, in Port Vue, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Pearl V (Klaja) Dudik, and was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, John V. Waskowitz.
Meticulous in every detail, Dolores took pride in decorating her home. She loved tending to her roses, reading historical biographies, collecting antiques, and frequent driving trips with her husband to the Laurel Highlands and other scenic destinations.

Adrienne Miller Geiger, age 85 of Larimer, Pa died September 1, 2022 at Forbes Hospital, Monroeville. She was born April 22, 1937 in Wilkinsburg, Daughter of the late William H. Miller Jr and Elizabeth Grubbs Miller. Adrienne was a member of St. John's UCC in Larimer. During her life she touched many people through her work as a social worker and mental health therapist. She held a BA from Seton Hill University and an MSW from the University of Pittsburgh. She loved traveling the world both near and far, reading and doing puzzles. She enjoyed spending time with her grandsons and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter P. Geiger Sr, a brother George G. Miller, sister Ruth Ann Miller Clawson, sister in law, Patricia Miller. She is survived by two sons, W. Patrick Geiger Jr., Scott H. Geiger (Teresa), grandchildren, W. Patrick Geiger III (Renee), Matthew Geiger, great grandchildren, Gavin and Kiera Geiger, brother,  William Miller, brother in law, John Clawson, sister in law, Janice Miller. Friends will be received  at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel followed by interment in Irwin Union Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. John's UCC in Larimer.

Quinten, age 69 of Trafford, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2022 in UPMC East, Monroeville.  Born April 15, 1953 in Pittsburgh, he was a son of the late William and Wilma (Stevenson) Quinten.  The valedictorian of his Schenley High School Class, James earned a scholarship to Penn State University, where he majored in drafting and drawing and graduated in 1973.  He then went on to run his own construction company until his retirement.  James is survived by his wife of 44 years Kimberly Marie (O'Malley) Quinten; his sons Jason (Leslie) Quinten of White Oak and Eric Quinten of Trafford; and his grandchildren: Kaylee Marie Quinten and Mackenzie Rae Quinten.

Anne D. (Harrington) Lofstrom, 90, of N. Huntingdon, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2022 after several years of dementia / Alzheimer’s. Anne was born on July 28, 1932, daughter of the late Mary (Joyce) and Michael Harrington. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church and served for Christians Mothers for many years. She also was a member of Penns Woods civic Association. She worked at Bell telephone, Lofstrom Electronics, Inc., World of Values and retired from the Kmart Corporation. Anne was very charitable and liked helping others. She was preceded in death by her late husband Richard C. Lofstrom, her brother Robert (June) Harrington. Sister-in-law Barbara Harrington, her lifetime best friend Margie Soboslay, as well as many other relatives, neighbors and friends. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and survived by her three children, son Thomas R. Lofstrom of Lakewood, CO, son William C. Lofstrom (Ruth) of New Alexandria PA, daughter Joyce A. Lofstrom of Long Pond PA, and her only grandchild, Ean E. Lofstrom of Long Pond PA. She is also survived by her brother John Harrington of Gibsonia PA, nephews, Robert (Chris) Harrington of PA, Roy (Tina) Harrington of OH, Michael Harrington of FL, David (Kristin) Harrington of NJ, and nieces Virginia (Rich) Casalone of TN, Donna (Bill) Haller of SC, Patricia (Ken) Spicuzza of FL, Susan Killeen of PA, Sally Harrington of NJ. Farabaugh, age 90 of Clairton, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2022 in Arrowood at Southwestern.  Born Jaunary 31, 1932 in Allegheny Twp., Cambria County, she was a daughter of the late Maurice and Jeanne (Parrish) Farabaugh.  A former telephoner operator and circuit designer for Bell Telephone's, then Verizon's, Pittsburgh office, Rebecca was a member of Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish - St. Clare of Assisi Church in Clairton and the Telephone Pioneers of America and was also a volunteer at Jefferson Hospital.  She is survived by her sister Anne Donnelly of Williamsport and many nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents, Rebecca was preceded in death by her sister Mary Barbara Colaianni and her brothers: Thomas, Stephen, and John Dennis Farabaugh.
