Terre (Terrence) Taylor, of North Huntingdon, entered the eternal life at home on Sunday, December 29, 2019. He was 69 years old. Terre was born on March 26, 1950 to his parents Richard and Bette Taylor. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Karen (Klassen) Taylor, his daughter Nina Vonne Taylor & Douglas Knox of Monroeville PA, his son Terre Richard Taylor & Jonell Taylor of North Huntingdon PA, his grandsons Brandon, Travis, and Mason Taylor, his sister Debbe (Taylor) Lapina & Mike Lapina of Parrish FL. He served his country in the U.S. Navy and was an avid hunter that enjoyed the outdoors with family and friends by his side.

Genevieve L. “Millie” Fink, 94 of Cranberry Twp. formerly of North Huntingdon, died Monday December 30, 2019. She was born April 29, 1925 in Star Junction, a daughter of the late Michael and Aniela Larence. She was a former employee of W.T. Grant Co. at Norwin Shopping Center and was formerly active with St. Agnes Emerald Club and the Golden Echo’s at Immaculate Conception Church.

Edward J. Balog, Sr., age 80 of McKeesport, passed away on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 in UPMC McKeesport. Born July 31, 1939 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late George and Anna (Sopp) Balog. A member of St. Patrick's R.C. Church in McKeesport, Edward received his Bachelors of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and worked as an industrial engineer with US Steel, Westinghouse, Modulus, and Teledyne. He finished his working career as a maintenance supervisor at Mayview Hospital and also taught plant layout and design at CCAC Boyce Campus in Monroeville. In his spare time, he was a car buff, a cat lover, and a talented handyman. Most importantly, Edward is now reunited with the love of his life, the late Pauline (Cherepko) Balog, who passed away August 26, 2011. He is now truly at peace. Edward is survived by his children Edward J. (Rhonda) Balog, Jr. of North Huntingdon, David G. (Kristina) Balog of Saegertown, Marie (John) Crupie of North Huntingdon, and Diane (Phil) DePietro of Penn Twp.; his grandchildren Courtney and Taylor Crupie; Jake and Allison DePietro; and Justin, Dylan, Brittney, Nathan, Zachary, and Mikayla Balog; and his cat Nikki.

Timothy D. Mitchell, age 77, of Glassport, died Monday, December 23, 2019. He was born in McKeesport on August 15, 1942 and is the son of the late Aziz and Margaret Miklos Mitchell.
He served in the US Marine Corp during the Vietnam Era then worked at the former Bucyrus Erie Plant in Glassport for many years.
He is survived by his brothers, David (Linda) Mitchell of Lawrenceville, Georgia and Jonathan Mitchell of Glassport.
Services were held at the Hunter-Edmundson-Striffler Funeral Home of McKeesport, 600 Market St., McKeesport, PA 15132 (412-678-6191).

George R. Bercik, age 83 of Gill Hall, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2019 in Grandview Estates, Elizabeth Twp. Born May 28, 1936 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late George and Anna (Pavlik) Bercik. A retired mining engineer at the US Bureau of Mines in South Park, George was a Veteran of the US Army and an avid birder and naturalist. He is survived by his children Joseph M. (Jane) Bercik of Finleyville, Lynn D. (Ed) Calcek of Charleroi, and Angel (Richard) Minda of Forward Twp.; his grandchildren Bryan (Amber) Bercik, Sarah Russell, Nathan Blackburn, Renee (Brian) Blankenship, and Mitchell and Patrick Minda; his great-grandchildren Monroe, Maddyn, and Riley; his siblings Dolores Senko of Vero Beach, FL, Thomas (Barb) Bercik of Jefferson Hills, and Carol Shoemaker of Finleyville; and also nieces and nephews.

Louise P. Mandekic, age 87 of McKeesport, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2019 in UPMC McKeesport. Born June 21, 1932 in East Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Sophia (Gorence) Zupancic. A 1950 graduate of Scott High School, Louise worked as a secretary for Mine Safety Appliance, Inc. of Wilkinsburg. She was a parishioner of St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church in McKeesport, was a past president of the Christian Mothers' Assoc. of both Sacred Heart and St. Martin de Porres Parishes, was a member of the CFU Lodge #3; and an active volunteer at McKeesport Hospital and numerous area locations. Louise is survived by her husband William M. Mandekic; her children Cynthia (Rodger) Downes of McKeesport, Gary (Diana) Mandekic of Derry Twp., Daniel (Samantha) Mandekic of Hopwood, and Darlene (Albert) Fine of Forward Twp.; her grandchildren Ryan Mandekic and Alyssa, Danica, and Chloe Fine; her great-grandchildren Alex and Denver; and also nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Andrew Zupancic and twin brother Louis Zupancic.

Raymond A. Tkach age 83, of West Mifflin, on December 28 in Jefferson Hospital. Son of the late Andrew & Helen (Sotak) Tkach, he was retired from Commercial Insurance Co. as a premium auditor, was a member of St. Joseph Church, Duquesne, the White Oak Gun Club, and was a photographer. He proudly served his country in the Navy. In addition he was in the National Guard and the Reserves. He was the husband of Barbara (Johnson) Tkach and in January, they would have been married 61 years.

David J. Singler, 66, of North Huntingdon, died Wednesday December 25, 2019. He was born February 19, 1953 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Delbert Leo and Dorothy M. (Wiggins) Singler and was also preceded in death by his brother Delbert L. Singler, killed in action while serving in the Navy during the Vietnam Conflict.
Dave was a truck driver for Maroadi Transfer & Storage, North Versailles, for nearly 50 years. He enjoyed NASCAR and supported Donald Trump.
He is survived by his children David (Erica) Singler of Peachtree, GA, Johnathan Singler of North Charleroi, Lindsay (Joshua) Davis of Trafford, Angela Singler of Pittsburgh, and Ashley Singler of Virginia Beach, VA; his grandchildren Spencer Singler, Johnathan Singler, and Ariella Davis; his sisters Jeannette (Gordon) Stoves of North Irwin, and Nancy Waibel, Maryann (Drew) Daniels, and Dorothy Mae Morris all of Irwin; also nieces and nephews and his dear friend for over 30 years Edward Megahan.
