Clifford Wesley Flegal, Sr., age 99, of the Tenth Ward section of McKeesport, died Friday, Feb. 7, 2020 in Pittsburgh, PA. He was born Aug. 2, 1920, in Lincoln Place, one of 10 children. Cliff, the last of his generation in the family tree was preceded in death by his parents, the late Foster E. and Mary Jane (Baxter) Flegal, Sr., brothers, Melvin (Fania) Flegal, Foster E. "Bud" (Virginia) Flegal, Jr., George A. (Mary) Flegal, Paul E. (Florence) Flegal, M. Wallace "Wally" Flegal and John Williard "Jack" Flegal; sisters, Beulah Flegal, Margaret (Thomas) O'Toole and Blanche (Thomas) Allison and his beloved wife, Janet Buti Flegal.
As a young man, Cliff enlisted in the U.S. Navy in Dec. 1941 after the attack on Pearl Harbor. He served as a Chief Yeoman during World War II traveling to Europe and the Pacific, receiving an honorable discharge in 1945. Throughout his life he showed pride in family, city, flag and country.
Cliff, a lifelong and proud Republican was formerly active in politics as a Candidate for US Congress in 1951. He served as McKeesport City Controller, City Clerk of Council, and Chairman of the McKeesport Republican Committee. When he was in his 60’s, he retired as a Workman’s Compensation Representative for the Department of Labor and Industry where he helped retirees with benefits.

Beverly J. (Smith) Parker, 71, of Glassport died Feb. 10, 2020. She is the daughter of Robert Brown and the late Doris E. Smith. She is survived by her beloved husband Herb Parker; daughters Heather (Dave) Langsdorf, Carrie (George) Price, Carly (Jeffrey) Westfall and Penney (Janice) Krocsko; grandchildren David, Breanna, Natalee, Paige, George, Jonah, Gabrielle, Chloe, Gavin, and Sophie; sisters Penney (Bill) Estep and Nancy Lauderbaugh; brothers Jeff Lauderbaugh, Roy (Brenda) Lauderbaugh and Robert (Darla) Brown, Jr.; and her furry babies Katrina, Buddy and Quasar. She was preceded in death by her brother Russell Lauderbaugh. Beverly was retired from UPMC and the Dept. of Public Welfare; was a member of the Glassport Assembly of God Church and was an avid bingo player. Friends received Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport, Wed. from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8. A funeral service will be held Thurs. 11:00 am in the funeral home. Interment following Round Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wojciechowski Funeral Home to help the family with the funeral.

Born June 3, 1950 in Elizabeth, she was a daughter of Patsy and Margaret (Karchuk) Dachille. Besides her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her husband, the late Patrick B. Madden, who passed away July 3, 2004. She is survived by her children Michelle (Kevin) Snyder of Elizabeth Twp. and April and Patrick S. Madden, both of Raleigh, NC; her three grandchildren: Zachary, Nicholas, and Taylor Snyder; and also nieces and nephews.

A former sales clerk at KMart in Pompano Beach, FL, besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her husband James Schultz and siblings Margaret Javorsky, and Victor, Jim, Alfred, and Wayne Schmidt. Teresa is survived by her sister Helen Gray of McKeesport, and also nieces and nephews.

Marcia A. Shaw, 88, of North Huntingdon, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2020. She was born March 22, 1931 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Hugh and Evelyn (McManus) Mitchell. Marcia was a member of Community United Methodist Church, enjoyed Bible study and her pet Bichon Frise, Caesar, and loved being a mom and grandma. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Shaw. She is survived by her daughters, Beverly Hall and her husband Jeff, Marlene Grasha and her husband, Steve, Sherrill Terzak; brother, Russell Mitchell and his wife, Sallie; grandchildren, Lisa (Mike) Haendler, Melissa (Zack) King, Tina (Benjamin) Bricker, Katelan (Jared) Terzak, Grant Grasha, Glenn Grasha, Jacob Terzak; and great-grandchildren, Bennie, Leah, Madelyn, Aiden and Iva. Dennis G. "Denny" Nagy, age 77 of Clairton, passed away at home on February 7, 2020. Denny was a member of the American Legion Post # 75 of Clairton where served as Adjutant for 20 years, a past member and president of the Clairton School Board, and served in the National Guard. Born December 4, 1942 in Clairton, he was a son of the late George and Olga (Marko) Nagy. Denny was an electrical team leader for US Steel Clairton works and retired after 40 years. He is survived by his wife Sheila (Delestienne) Leck Nagy; his step-children Allison (Dusan) Markovic of Clinton, TN, Denise (Troy) Coughenour of Elizabeth Twp., and James (Jennifer) Leck, Jr. of Glassport; his step-grandchildren Rachel (Andrew) Burch, Alex Kuhn, Bryer and Jordan Coughenour, and Brendan Leck; his brother David Nagy of Hollywood, FL; his sister, Alice (Jim) Takacs of Hays; and also by one step great grandchild.
