Amado Anthony Gorham, 25, of Homestead, passed away Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at home. He was born August 6, 1994 in Oakland, California and was the son of Kathleen Joyce Gorham. Amado worked as a greeter at Walmart.  Amado found his foster father, Paul Hunter at Auberle of McKeesport. Amado ran up to Paul's car, at the time a complete stranger, as he was leaving from volunteering with other children. Amado yelled " Mr. Paul, Mr. Paul, I heard about you." Paul stopped the car, and the little boy barely tall enough to see in the car window said "Mr. Paul, will you foster me?" At that moment, Amado stole Paul's heart and shortly after fostering began.

 Carl "Red" Kremer, 90, of West Mifflin, died Nov. 12, 2019. He is the son of the late Alfred and Rose (Kahler) Kremer; brother of the late Alfred, Elmer, Robert and Walter Kremer.  He is survived by many nephews and nieces and relatives in Germany.  He served in the Korean War.  Thank you to the staff at Southwestern VA Home and Kindred Hospice.  Friends received Teichart-Gracan Funeral Home, Duquesne, Mon. from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8.  A funeral blessing will be held Tues. 11:00 am in the funeral home.  Interment following St. Joseph Cemetery, West Mifflin.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Peter P. Valecko and her brother, John R. Putanko.
Elaine graduated from South Union High School in Uniontown. Elaine was a member of St. Mark Parish, where she retired after serving over 30 years as housekeeper.

She was dedicated to her work and the community she served and took great pride in providing for her family, her grandchildren and extended family. She loved trips to Disney, The Meadows, The Rivers, Atlantic City and Las Vegas. During her long sickness her family is grateful for all the time that was spent together.

She had been living with her daughters, spending her time between Orlando, Florida and Winder, Georgia.  She really loved spending time with all of her family and gave us all many wonderful memories. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Nicholas DeMarino and two sisters, Angelina Cherpak and Rose Vito.

John Michael “Timmy” Kostelnik Sr., 88, of Dravosburg, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 16^th, 2019 at the John J. Kane Community Living Center, in McKeesport. He was born in Homestead on September 17, 1931 to the late John and Helen Uhrin Kostelnik. John was the loving husband of 65 years to the surviving Elizabeth Makay Kostelnik. He is also survived by his son, John M. (Sheri) Kostelnik, of Lancaster, CA, daughter, Sandra L. (David Mooney) Kostelnik, of Dravosburg, sister, Donna Johnen, of Cortland, OH, grandchildren, John Michael Kostelnik, Kevin Alan (Kate) Kostelnik, Kara Leigh (Nicholas) Kerr, Michael Ryan Kostelnik, great-grandchildren, Rebecca, Carrie, Ashley, Kennedy, and many nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his sister, Mildred Wolak. He proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force, and served in the Korean War. John was a member of the American Legion in Dravosburg, was past president and volunteer fireman of the Dravosburg Volunteer Fire Company #2, and was an usher at St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, in West Mifflin. He was a Buick Auto Mechanic for 42 years, and loved working on cars. John loved, and was loved deeply by his family and friends. His wit and charm was enjoyed by all. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, a sports enthusiast, enjoyed organizing pool parties, an excellent cook, loved animals, and was NEVER without his Copenhagen. Family and friends will be received on Friday from 6-8pm at I.M FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 203 4^th St, Dravosburg, PA 15034. A service will take place on Saturday at the funeral home from 8-9am, to be followed by a Mass at 10:00am at St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church in West Mifflin, with full military honors. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the John J. Kane Regional Center, 100 9th St, McKeesport, PA 15132, in thanks for their care and compassion.
