Josephine A. (Chervon) Biles, age 71, of Elrama, passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at Allegheny General Hospital. She was a retired bank teller at Equibank in Pleasant Hills and enjoyed playing cards, traveling and going to the casino. Born June 27, 1948 in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late Alvin and Mary (Buhonick) Chervon. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Michael G. Biles; siblings, Alvin Chervon, Jr. of North Carolina, Richard (Elizabeth) Chervon of South Park and Sylvia LaBonte of Yucca Valley, CA; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ron Chervon. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth on Sunday, October 27, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A funeral service will take place on Monday, October 28, 2019 at 10 AM in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Al Finney officiating. Burial will follow in Jefferson Memorial Park, Pleasant Hills. Michelle S. Jacobs, age 53, of Port Vue, died October 22, 2019, at home. Born April 25, 1966, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Carol (Newton) Santone and Ronald (Joanne) Junecko and the wife of Brian G. Jacobs.
Michelle cared for her children and many other children of the community. She was truly a selfless person and dedicated her life to caring for others. Michelle enjoyed working with crafts, and anything outdoors. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Michael A. Chomanics Sr., 81, of North Huntingdon, passed away Tuesday, October 22, 2019. He was born October 12, 1938 in McKeesport, son of the late Michael and Julia Rebar Chomanics. Prior to his retirement, Michael was a custodian for Norwin School District. Michael enjoyed woodworking and was previously self employed as a custom cabinet maker. He also enjoyed sightseeing and casino trips with his wife. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marsha M. Chomanics; brothers, Stephen and Paul Chomanics. He is survived by his sons, Michael Chomanics and his wife, Laura and Mark Chomanics and his wife Suzanne; granddaughter, LeeAnn (Brandon) Meyer; and great-grandchildren, Vincent, Francis and Lillian. Shawn “Eddie” Edward WyGant, 45, of McKeesport, Pennsylvania departed this earthly life too soon on Sunday, October 20, 2019.
He was born October 29, 1973, in Pittsburgh, PA and the son of Sheri WyGant-King and the late John Lee Huggins, Sr.
Shawn was a man full of many talents and trades. He graduated from McKeesport High School. He held multiple careers and jobs following college and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. In addition to being a partner of IGFM Studios, among being involved with many other organizations. He had extraordinary artistic talents and had and endless imagination.

Mr. Schiola, a truck driver for ABC Beverage Company, was a member of the White Oak Chum Bowling League and was a U.S. Army veteran. Raymond F. Crew, 89, of North Huntingdon, passed away Monday, October 21, 2019. He was born December 15, 1929 in Pittsburgh, son of the late Frank and Sophie (Krawczyk) Kruczek. He was a five year Army veteran during the Korean War, attended Russian Language School and served in the Army Security Agency. He was a graduate of Penn State University and upon graduation was employed by US Steel at the Edgar Thompson Works where he was awarded an Andrew Carnegie Scholarship to attend Carnegie Tech to further his studies in electrical engineering He was a founding member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, longtime member of North Huntingdon Democratic Club, elected democratic committee man, and longtime member of the Wilmerding YMCA. Ray had a love for politics and nature, and was an avid gardener and feeder of all animals. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Nancy Park Crew; beloved father of Jennifer Crew and her husband Andrew Davis, Rebecca Beal and her husband, Brandon, Raymond C. Crew and his wife, Erin Phelan, and Holly Crew; adored PapPap to, Amanda DiLoreto, Adam Beal, Dylan Davis; brother, Albert Kruczek; and three feline companions, Annie, Allie and Inky. A memorial mass will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, North Huntingdon. Mrs. Ethel M. Grimball Hamlin, 94, peacefully slept with family by her bedside in Akron, Ohio. She was born Oct. 30, 1924, and raised in McKeesport, Pa., the first-born child of the late Eugene George Grimball, Sr. and Marie Bell Mikell Grimball. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years Carl William Hamlin, bothers Clyde William Grimball, James Melvin Grimball and sister Gladys Delores Grimball.
Ethel attended McKeesport area schools and was a graduate of McKeesport High School. She later became a licensed beautician after graduating from LaSalle Beauty School. She worked at Sadee’s Beauty Shop for many years. Piano lessons were taught to Ethel by Mrs. LaRue Frederick and Mrs. Addie Farrell of McKeesport, PA. She was also given vocal lessons from Mrs. Maudelene Johnson of Pittsburgh, PA.

She is also survived by a son Richard (Kimberly) Morgan of Murrysville, a daughter Roberta (Robert) Moses of Carlisle, a sister Colleen Sommerville, two grandchildren, Kyle Joseph Morgan and Connor Michael Segina. Gary R. Springer, age 65 of Greenock, passed away at home on Tuesday, October 22, 2019. Born May 31, 1954 in Quonset Point, RI, he is a son of Virginia Lee (Baker) Springer of Elizabeth Twp. and the late Glenn Reed Springer. Gary retired from the Allegheny County Office of Property Assessment and was a 32nd degree mason with F&AM #731 of Duquesne-McKeesport. He was active in coaching also with Steel Valley Men's Softball and formerly Mt. Vernon Youth Association. Besides his mother, Gary is survived by his wife of 37 years Lynda (Ludwick) Springer; his sons: Steven Springer of Monroeville, Jason Springer of Ft. Myers, FL, and Justin Springer of McKeesport; his father-and-mother-in-law Wayne and Patricia Ludwick of Myrtle Beach, SC (formerly of Elizabeth Twp.); and also cousins, in-laws, nieces, and nephews. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his brother Robert Springer.
