Gary R. Springer, age 65 of Greenock, passed away at home on Tuesday, October 22, 2019. Born May 31, 1954 in Quonset Point, RI, he is a son of Virginia Lee (Baker) Springer of Elizabeth Twp. and the late Glenn Reed Springer. Gary retired from the Allegheny County Office of Property Assessment and was a 32nd degree mason with F&AM #731 of Duquesne-McKeesport. He was active in coaching also with Steel Valley Men's Softball and formerly Mt. Vernon Youth Association. Besides his mother, Gary is survived by his wife of 37 years Lynda (Ludwick) Springer; his sons: Steven Springer of Monroeville, Jason Springer of Ft. Myers, FL, and Justin Springer of McKeesport; his father-and-mother-in-law Wayne and Patricia Ludwick of Myrtle Beach, SC (formerly of Elizabeth Twp.); and also cousins, in-laws, nieces, and nephews. Besides his father, he was preceded in death by his brother Robert Springer.

Edward W. Stash, age 61, of McKeesport, died October 21, 2019. Born December 10, 1957, in Hooversville, he was the son of the late Edward W. Sr., and Rose Marie (Kelly) Stash and was the husband of Patricia L. (Lowrey) Stash.
Edward loved riding bicycles and camping. He made several trips to Washington, D.C. and throughout Ohio.

Raymond F. Crew, 89, of North Huntingdon, passed away Monday, October 21, 2019. He was born December 15, 1929 in Pittsburgh. Ray was a graduate of Penn State University and upon graduation was employed by US Steel where he was later awarded the Andrew Carnegie Scholarship and attended Carnegie Tech. He was a veteran of the US Army during the Korean War and was a member of the Army Security Agency, forerunner of the CIA He was a found member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, longtime member of North Huntingdon Democratic Club, elected democratic committee man, and Wilmerding YMCA. Ray was an avid gardener and animal lover and had a strong love for nature. He is survived by his loving of 53 years, Nancy Park Crew; son, Raymond C. Crew and his wife, Erin Phelan; daughters, Jennifer Crew and her husband, Andrew Davis, Rebecca Beal and her husband, Brandon; Holly Crew; grandchildren, Amanda DiLoreto, Adam Beal and Dylan Davis. A memorial mass will be held at 9 a.m. on Saturday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, North Huntingdon. In lieu flowers, donations may be made to Westmoreland County Food Bank or a kind deed. Dwayne Robert (Fish) Christy, 59, of Clairton, Pennsylvania, departed this life on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Canterbury Place.
He was born May 23, 1960 in McKeesport, son of the late Robert Christy and Virginia Adams Christy.
After graduating high school, “Fish” attended Community College of Allegheny County and the University of Pittsburgh, where he furthered his education. Dwayne was a member of Morningstar Baptist Church, where he was a faithful member of the combined choir and the male chorus. Dwayne also taught Sunday school regularly.
Dwayne leaves behind to cherish his memory a brother, Kevin Smith, other loving family members, and friends.

John “Jack” Malcolm Francis MacDonald, age 92, of Elizabeth Twp., died Monday, October 21, 2019. He was born in McKeesport on December 24, 1926 and is the son of the late Archibald John and Elizabeth Kraus MacDonald. He was a graduate of Mercersburg Academy and Franklin and Marshall College and was a veteran of World War II serving on active duty in the Philippines and Japan.
He retired in 2011 after 56 years in the financial services industry with McKelvy & Co. which later merged with Parker/Hunter Inc. and then Janney Montgomery Scott, LLC. A certificate of recognition was presented to him by Parker/Hunter Inc. on September 19, 2005 for 50 years of dedicated service. Formerly he was a Senior Vice President, a member of the Board of Directors and a trustee of the ESOP Fund at Parker/Hunter Inc. before they were purchased by Janney Montgomery Scott. He was a member of the Board of TRC Companies, Inc. from 2001 to 2008, and was a board member of several privately held companies. He was a member of the Board of Directors of McKeesport Hospital (now University of Pittsburgh Medical Center – UPMC McKeesport) from 1974 to 2003. He then became a member of the McKeesport Hospital Foundation from 2003 to 2017. He was also a member of the following: President of the Mon Yough Area Industrial Development Corporation; the McKeesport Industrial Development Authority; the Mon Yough Chamber of Commerce; the McKeesport Rotary Club; the Board of Directors of the Girl Scouts of Southwestern Pennsylvania where he served on the Finance Committee and Investment Committee; White Oak Borough Council for eight years and President of Council for six years; Founding Board Member of the Landmark at Hillsboro Condominium Association in Hillsboro Beach, Florida, where he served on the Board as a Member and Treasurer for many years; and Trustee of the Dr. Frederick A. Prescott Medical Scholarship Fund. Jack and Joan loved to travel and had visited at least 70 different foreign countries. They also enjoyed planning trips with both their immediate family and extended family.

Henry R. Barbour, 71, of McKeesport, Pennsylvania peacefully departed this life on Monday, October 14, 2019 surrounded by his loving family.
Henry was born April 23, 1948, in McKeesport, PA to the late Henry Barbour, and Margaret Mikell Barbour. He was also preceded in death by his brother Bruce Barbour.
After graduating from East Orange High school in East Orange, New Jersey, Henry joined the United States Marine Corps where he served honorably. Following his return home, he was employed by Bectel Bettis Plant in West Mifflin as a technician in the liquid department.
