Harvey L. Grant, 93, of McKeesport, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 25, 2019, in Kane Regional Hospital. 

He was born May 4, 1926, in Braddock, PA, son of the late Nathaniel and Evie Fuller Grant. Devoted husband of the late Betty Lee Adams Grant.

Harvey served our nation proudly, as a soldier in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. After his return home, he worked at Pittsburgh Steel Foundry in Glassport, at McKeesport Area School District and also served as a state constable.

Hazel  J. Cramer, 91, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Monday, October 28, 2019.

She was born December 22, 1927 in Blaine Hill and was the daughter of the late Paul and Mary (Stirbis) Chaussinand. She was the wife of the late M. Wayne Cramer who passed away February 4, 2018. Hazel worked for J.C. Penney Co in Southland and Eastland shopping centers and was also bookkeeper for the former Cramer Brothers Marina in Elizabeth. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brothers, Daniel and Paul Chaussinand and sisters, Emma Raftery and Shirley Pater.

Marion Grace Evanchak, age 84, of Port Vue, died October 24, 2019, at home. Born May 1, 1935, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Nagy) Irwin and the wife of Ralph Evanchak, Sr.

Marion retired from Penn Hurst Candy, where she worked in the packaging department. She was a lifelong member of Liberty Presbyterian Church. Marion was also a member of the Elizabeth Seniors, Christy Park Seniors, and Life Span.

She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, and trips to the casino. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

Kurimsky, 50 of Liberty Boro, died Oct. 27, 2019.  She is the daughter of Wayne and Ginny (Kolar) Kostelnik.  She is survived by her beloved husband Nick Kurimsky; daughter Julia Kurimsky; sister Dawn (David) Kuchma; brother David Kostelnik and mother-in-law Patricia (the late Daniel) Kurimsky. 

Debie was a member of Christ the Light of the World Parish. 

Friends will be received from 12 to 3 p.m. Friday at Teichart-Gracan Funeral Home, Duquesne, at which time a prayer service will be held.

She was born December 11, 1925 in Pittsburgh, Pa,, a daughter of the late Oliver and Rosalia Babski Dailey. Rosemarie was a member of St. Agnes Church, North Huntingdon, where she previously volunteered at church bazaars and the school cafeteria. She was also a member of the Womens Democratic Club.

She is survived by one son Patrick (Andrea), two daughters, Maureen Beal (Hugh), Michelle Moroney, four grandchildren, Kelly and Colleen Moroney, Frank and Andrew Beal.

Mr. Beal was a member of Christ the Light of the World Parish, Duquesne, and a retired Maintenance Department employee of the former Duquesne Works, U.S. Steel Corporation. He was also a former organist and drummer of Christ Lutheran Church in Duquesne, owner of Sharon's Pizza Shop in Duquesne, and was happiest when he was disc jockeying at weddings and parties.

Tyler Joe Ball, 27, of North Huntingdon, passed away Friday, October 25, 2019 in Shadyside Hospital.  He was born, August 17, 1992 in Memphis, TN, son of Joe and Teresa (Brewer) Ball.  Tyler was a 2010 graduate of Norwin Sr. High School where he was a member of the Student Council and National Honor Society.  He earned his Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Supply Chain Management through the pharmacy department at Duquesne University.  He was employed by UPMC Pittsburgh and was an avid sports enthusiast and enjoyed golfing, baseball and fishing.  He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Martha Brewer; and paternal grandparents, Tom and Norma Ball.  He is survived by his maternal grandfather, Otis Brewer; sister, Lauren Ball; uncle, David (Charlotte) Ball; cousin, Liz Robertson; and an amazing circle of friends.  Friends will be received from 3-8 p.m. on Monday at the James W. Naimark, formerly of White Oak, currently of Asheville, NC, died Thursday, October 24, 2019 at Mission Memorial Hospital, Asheville, NC.  Born in Brooklyn, NY, December 29, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Monroe and Margaret Stark Izsak.  Wife of the late Bernard G. Naimark, she is survived by her sons, Eric (Roberta) Naimark of Asheville, NC and Mitchell (Barbara) Naimark of Severna Park, MD, also by 5 grandsons, 1 great grandson, and 6 great granddaughters.  Mrs. Naimark served for many years as secretary of the former Congregation Tree of Life–Sfard in White Oak, PA.  She was a member of the Congregation Beth Ha’Tephila in Asheville, NC and was a member of the former Congregation Tree of Life–Sfard in White Oak.  A graveside service will be held Monday, October 28, 2019 at 3:30 PM in the Tree of Life–Sfard Cemetery with Rabbi Paul Tuchman officiating.  Hunter Funeral Home, Inc., 1600 Coursin Street, McKeesport, PA  15132 is in charge of arrangements.

 


Esther (Skillsky) Steimer

Esther (Skillsky) Steimer age 98, of Houston, TX formerly of Duquesne, on October 22, 2019. She was born June 11, 1921 in Duquesne. A daughter of the late William and Nell Skillsky. Esther was much more than a homemaker, earlier in life she was the bookkeeper of her fathers coal mining business. She attended Business School and obtained a pilot license. She became the wife of Joseph Steimer; and raised nine children. A talented seamstress, she created beautifully tailored clothing for all of her girls and decorative treatments for her home. They may have complained about not having off the rack clothing, but now we know how special that was. Among other things, she taught her boys how to dance (with limited success). She was the wife of the late Joseph W. Steimer; mother of Mary Rinaldi (William Gipson) of Montgomery, TX, Linda Curcio (Dr. Lawrence Curcio) of Chapel Hill, NC, Joseph W. Steimer, Jr. (Jean Steimer) of Bellevue, NE, Kathleen Steimer of Selinsgrove, PA, Christopher P. Steimer (Kathleen Steimer) of Elizabeth Twp., PA, Paula Santoski (Jack Doane) of River Oaks, TX, Patrice Sharp (Michael Sharp) of Friendswood, TX, Eileen Rensel (Robert Rensel) of Bakersfield, CA and Martin Steimer (Eleanor Steimer) of Elizabeth Twp., PA; also survived by 17 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and caregivers, Dulce and Zennia.
