Bernice M Smouse (Aunt B), 83 of O’ Hara Township died Monday October 15, 2018 at UPMC Lighthouse Pointe at Chapel Harbor Senior Residence. She was born May 3 1935 in Duquesne. She is the daughter of the late Homer and Elizabeth (McDermott) Smouse. She lived in the Blawnox/O’Hara Township area since 1987. She worked for Duquesne Light in downtown Pittsburgh for 43 years before retiring. She loved to sew, bake, play card games, do word search puzzle games and loved indoor plants. Survivors include her nephews James, Robert and Philip and nieces Jane, Debra, Doreen and LeAnn.

He was preceded in death by grandson Edward J Iwanowski, Jr., Brothers Bob and Raymond and sisters Edna, Gertie,Louise and Dolores. Ed was retired from U.S. Steel, National Tube, McKeesport and served in the U.S. Army Korean conflict in Alaska.

Murtha, age 96 of Elizabeth Twp., passed away at Grandview Estates in Elizabeth Twp. on Thursday, October 18, 2018.  Born April 21, 1922 in Dravosburg, he was a son of the late John and Marie (Striegel) Murtha.  A US Army Air Force Sergeant in the European Theater of World War II, William was a graduate of Duquesne University and a member of St. Michael's Parish in Elizabeth Twp.  He retired as general foreman of the yard and transportation at US Steel Clairton Works and was also a former salesman at Eger Motors in McKeesport.

Born October 20, 1931, in Duquesne, she was the daughter of the late Mike and Mary (Matovich) Husar. Mrs Capristo was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, West Mifflin and a meticulous seamstress. She was the beloved wife of 67 years to Gene Capristo, she is also survived by her loving daughter, Cindi and her husband Dennis Caiarelli, of Duquesne, a son, Dean Capristo and his partner Susan Brockman of North Huntingdon, two grandsons, Ryan and his wife Vicky Caiarelli, and Nathan Caiarelli, four great grand daughters, Kaitlyn, Ava, Mia and Cami, and a sister, Maryann (Byron) Rider of Ohio.

Charles Allan “Magoo” McGogney, age 79, passed away on Wednesday, October 17, 2018. A Class of 1956 graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School, he served in the U.S. Army, 11th Air Assault Division, during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was self-employed in commercial floor maintenance. He enjoyed fishing at Lake Pymatuning, watching baseball and football games, western movies, and listening to a wide variety of music from the 1960s and ’70s, especially country western music and the rock groups The Eagles and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Always passionate about food, his favorite meal was Thanksgiving dinner. His favorite pastime was congregating with all his buddies at the local coffee shops throughout the years. Best known for his comical sense of humor, there was never a dull moment in his company. The younger generation loved learning about his philosophies of life. He had such a heart of gold and was so compassionate toward those less fortunate in life.

He was a long-time member of Linway United Presbyterian Church in North Versailles where he enjoyed singing in the choir. He retired after 32 years as a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service in Monroeville, Plum and Penn Hills before spending the last 5 years as a Legislative Assistant to the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. He loved watching hockey, especially with his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife of over 39 years, Susan E. (Krupa) Keller; children Shaun (Sabrina) Keller and Shannon (Tony Cautela) Jeffries; grandchildren Brianne Jeffries and Luca and Landon Keller; brothers Howard (Helen) Keller and Keith Keller; and sister Karen (John) Crandall.

James R. "Jim" Matthias, 83, of Duquesne died Friday, October 12, 2018, in UPMC Presbyterian. Born in McKeesport, November 29, 1934, he was the son of the Late George and Mary (Uhrine) Matthias. Mr. Matthias was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, West Mifflin, The Parish Men's Club, Knights of Columbus Council 4210, and the IBEW Local 29. He was a retired employee of the Duquesne Light Company and a humble servant of the Church, serving as a Eucharistic Minister for many years, and a U.S. Army Veteran.

Beloved husband of the Late Ann Ragan Matthias. He is survived by four sons, Robert (Diane), James (Sandy), Michael (Tracey) and William Matthias; a brother, George Matthias and a sister, Geraldine Vennebush; Seven Grandchildren, and many Nieces and Nephews. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in Death by a brother William.

Churley Fekete; sons, Steven Fekete, Robert Fekete and his wife, Susan, Christopher Fekete and his wife, Jamie; sister, Mary Walley and her husband, Dick; grandchildren, Brice, Reese, Michael, Sarah and Julie; many nieces and  nephews, great-nieces and nephews; and a great great-nephew.
