DONNA J. EMELO age 66 of North Huntingdon on July 13, 2019.  A daughter of the late Richard E. & Mary L. (Esek) Jordan, she had 40 years of service at Bechtel-Bettis as an Administrative Support Specialist in the Shipping and Receiving Department. She enjoyed swimming & her family was her hobby.  She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Thomas Emelo; sister of Kathy (Bill Platt) Bowen of Dravosburg, Susan Radocay of Liberty Boro, Beverly (James) Stavor of West Mifflin and the late Richard (late Anna) Jordan; many loving nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; sister-in-law of Kim (Andre`) Jeanneret of Ohio.  Visitation Tuesday, July 16, 2019 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at the Maloy-Schleifer Funeral Home, Inc., 915 Kennedy Ave., Duquesne, 412-466-3300, where her funeral service will be held at 8 p.m.

Mary Virginia O'Bryon, 97, of North Huntingdon, passed away Friday, July 12, 2019.  She was born March 22, 1922 in McKeesport, a daughter of the late Richard and Alma (Furlong) Oliver.  Mary attended Norwin Alliance Church and was an avid Bingo player.  She loved life and always treasured spending time with her family.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond O'Bryon; brother, Jess Alan Hoak; sister, Hazel Baker; and two grandchildren, Tracy and Scott O'Bryon.  She is survived by her sons, Robert O'Bryon and his wife, Merlyn and Donald O'Bryon and his wife, Janis;  grandchildren, Debbie (Bill) Jennette, DJ O'Bryon, Rachel (Andy) Long; and great-grandchildren, Kendra (Matt) Nicholas, Cody Jennette, Raimey, Hayden, Kendall and Cody O'Bryon, Maddox Long; and sister-in-law, Darlene Foster.  Friends will be received on Monday from 3-7 p.m. at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon.  A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.  Interment to follow in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Norwin Alliance Church in memory of Mary.  www.shirleyfuneralhome.com.

Robert N. Petrosko, 85, of North Huntingdon, passed away Friday July 12, 2019.  He was born May 22, 1934 in McKeesport, a son of the late Peter and Mary (Crush) Petrosko.  Prior to his retirement, Robert was a tool and die maker for General Motors and a veteran of the US Army.  He was a member of the 11th Ward Club, enjoyed playing the lottery and spending time with his family.  Bob was the life of the party, enjoyed social clubs and had ingenious ways of fixing things. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Olga Lazar.  He is survived by his wife, Peggy Dodds Petrosko; son, Robert Petrosko and his wife, Patricia; daughter, Paula Fiscante and her husband, John; brothers, Peter (Joan) Petrosko, Joseph (Paula) Petrosko; sister, Patricia (Clyde) Simmers; grandchildren, Justin Zebroski, Celene (Charles) Barno, Rose Fiscante; and great-grandson, Travis Barno.  Friends will be received on Tuesday from 3-7 p.m. at the James W. Brett S. Fort, 59, of McKeesport, Pennsylvania, departed this life on Sunday, July 7, 2019, at home.

He was born August 19, 1959, in McKeesport, son of the late Jimmy Lee and Betty Lou Carter Fort.

Brett was a former member of Mt. Olive First Baptist Church, proudly served in the United States Marine Corps, and attended C.C.A.C, where he earned his associate degree.  Brett was an Electrician with the I.B.E.W. Local 5 and owner of Fortitude Handyman Services and while living in New Jersey, he was employed with RCA. 

Left to cherish his memory are his are daughter, Phoenix N. Moore of Pittsburgh; son, Stephen L. Fort (Janaya) of Clairton; stepdaughter, Meagan K. Edwards of Lorton, Virginia; nine grandsons, sister, Tierra Jones of Clairton, and other loving relatives and friends.

Stanley F. Makoski Sr., age 68, of McKeesport, formerly of Mt. Washington, passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 at Jefferson Hospital. He retired as a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service on the North Side. As a child, he was on the safety patrol in elementary school, sang in the youth choir, and served as an altar boy. In his 20s, he took the Civil Service test and passed with a score of 93. Stanley delivered mail to Art Rooney, who often gifted him with a cigar or two. He loved the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Pirates and faithfully followed both teams on television. On March 22, he celebrated 15 years of sobriety and being smoke-free. He prided himself on living his life "one day at a time."

Sean M. Brown, age 36, of Washington D.C., peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family on July 7, 2019. Sean was born on July 5, 1983, in East McKeesport, PA to William and Mary Lynn (Rosenbayger) Brown. He was a 2001 graduate of East Allegheny Junior/Senior High School. After high school, Sean pursued his love of theater at the University of Pittsburgh where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts. While his passion for theater, film, and music was present for his entire life, Sean’s focus after college changed to being more politically minded and finding ways to make this a better world. After a brief time as a paralegal, Sean attended the University of the District of Columbia where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with his Juris Doctorate. Thereafter, Sean was selected for the Legal Honors Program at the US Department of Housing and Urban Development where he worked as a Trial Attorney until his death, assuring decent and affordable housing, enabling all Americans to achieve homeownership, providing resources for communities to build strong neighborhoods, preventing homelessness, and enforcing fair housing laws.

Louis "Nunu" Karbowiak age 84, of Liberty Boro, on July 9, 2019. He was the son of the late Ludwik and Bertha (Mikrut) Karbowiak. Lou was retired from US Steel, Duquesne Works, in the Met. Lab, a member of Teutonia Mannerchor Club, in Duquesne, where he was the treasurer for 25 years. Also a member of the Hazelwood Boat Club, in Ohio. He enjoyed golfing. He proudly served his country in the Navy during the Korean War. Husband of the late Donna Jane (Hall) Karbowiak for 48 years; father of Karen L. Svetz, of Liberty Boro, Joseph E. Karbowiak, of Liberty Boro, and the late Thomas R. Karbowiak; grandfather of Joseph E. Svetz II; brother of Rose Starmack, of Texas. He was born May 9, 1941 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Nicholas and Taugen (Ancarana) Fedor. He was the husband of the late Audrey Ruth (Lovrich) Fedor, she was the love of his life. Raymond was the Proprietor of 2 successful Open Pantry convenience stores in Bethel Park and was a member of the chamber of Commerce there.  He proudly served in the Army National Guard and belonged to the VFW post in Peter's Township, where he spent many an evening with many good friends sharing many great stories.

Joseph C. Zoscak, 91, of Glassport, died July 9, 2019.  He is the son of the late Joseph and Sophia (Bogush) Zoscak.  He is survived by his brother Carl (Charlotte) Zoscak; nephews Todd, Robert and Michael Zoscak; great nieces Summer Ann and Autumn Dale Zoscak; also cousins.  He was preceded in death by his brother Eugene Zoscak.  Joe was a member of Queen of the Rosary Parish and served in the US Army Korean Conflict.  After his retirement, Joe spent his time at his hunting camp in the Allegheny National Forest.  Friends received Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport, Fri. 2-4 and 6-8.  A funeral blessing will be held Sat. 10:00 am in the funeral home with Father Wojcicki.  Interment following St. Mary's Polish Cemetery.
