Mr. James Albert Blair, age 60, of Liberty Borough, died October 24, 2016, at his home. Born April 18, 1956, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Robert and Alberta (Ondrey) Blair.
Before he retired, James worked as a brakeman for Union Railroad. James was good at fixing things; he enjoyed working on cars and accomplishing home projects.

Doris (Bildhauser) Schweickert, 88, formerly of Elizabeth Twp. Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 28, 2016 at St Mary’s East in Erie Pennsylvania after an extended illness. Doris was born on April 2, 1928 to the late August and Dora Wise Bildhauser in Clairton Pa. After graduating from Clairton High School she attended the Business Institute of Pittsburgh. She spent her working years as a secretary for a Pittsburgh Law Firm and Ervin Works Industrial Engineering. Doris married her beloved husband Clarence Schweickert on July 2, 1949 and raised 3 beautiful children.

Michael Anthony Turnell, 33, of Monongahela, died Friday, October 28, 2016. He was born January 7, 1983 in McKeesport and was the son of Thomas B. and Karen M. Yates Turnell of Liberty Borough. He was a member of the Elrama Gun Club and enjoyed hunting, fishing and motorcycles. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sister, Diana Turnell of Liberty Borough, grandmother, Dolores Yates of Elizabeth, uncle, Bert (Trudy) Yates of Liberty Borough, aunt, Tammy (Sean) Tremba of Crafton, great-uncle, Robert Wooddell of Texas, nephews, Jacob and Brayden Turnell, cousins and his companion, Teresa Lilley of Monongahela.

Anna Tarr, 85, of White Oak, died Friday, October 28, 2016. She was born January 27, 1931 in Pittsburgh and was the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Tizedez Halasz. She was the wife of the late Frank Tarr who died May 18, 1985. Anna was a member of St. Angela Merici Church where she formerly taught CCD. She was also a former member of the Ladies of Charity and the Carmelite 3rd Order.

Karl James Kwolek, Jr., 51, of Whitehall, formerly of White Oak, died Friday October 28, 2016. He was born July 1, 1965 in McKeesport. Karl was a graduate of Bridgewater College in VA and was a Production Manager for Marvel Marking in the Southside of Pittsburgh. He had previously worked for UPMC Insurance, the University of Pittsburgh and the Fred S. James Co. He is survived by his parents, Karl J. (Margo) Kwolek, Sr., of Weyers Cave, VA, and Isabelle Grace Kwolek of North Versailles, fiancée, Carrie Heasley of Whitehall, sisters, Kimberly Kwolek (John) Shahan of McGaughleysville, VA, and Kammi (Peter) Evans of Weyers Cave, VA, brother, Jamison (Crystal) Kwolek of Singers Glen, VA, and special nephew, Steven J. Kwolek of Charlottesville, VA.

Patrick J. Mercurio, age 92, of McKeesport, died October 24, 2016, at Riverside Care Center. Born November 30, 1923, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Costantino and Giovanini (Masceri) Mercurio and the husband of Mildred (Keresman) Mercurio, for over 60 years. Patrick worked at Cox’s Department Store, where he was a buyer in the men’s clothing department for over 25 years and later retired from Macy’s, as a salesman. He was US Army veteran, serving during WWII.

Raymond Anthony Manz, age 86 of White Oak, passed away Thursday morning, October 27, 2016. He was born December 11, 1929 in Pittsburgh. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ann (Goertler) Manz; his children, LuAnne (James, Jr.) Danner, Eric Manz, Karen (Kevin) O'Malley and Steven (Joann) Manz; grandchildren, Nicole, Aaron, Joseph, John, Kailee and Owen. He is also survived by his brothers, Charles (Betty) Manz and John (Mary) Manz; and many nieces and nephews. Raymond was a staunch patriot and proud veteran who served the country he loved during the Korean War in the 2nd Division Combat Infantry where he was awarded two Purple Hearts and the Bronze Star. He was a strong, kind man in life who loved and was devoted to his family, (and John Wayne). His gentleness, patience, and good humor made him a wonderful role model for his family. He was truly loved by all and will be greatly missed. Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Sunday, October 30, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 31, 2016 at St. Angela Merici Church at 10 a.m. Entombment with military honors will follow at New St. Joseph Cemetery.
