Madge A. Hula, age 90 residing at Point Pleasant in North Versailles died June 11, 2017 at Transitions Health Care in North Huntingdon. She was born August 9, 1926 in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Daniel and Hallie Seneff Taylor. She was preceded in death by her husband Amil and her son Daniel. LaVerne Elaine Redenbaugh, age 77, of McKeesport, formerly of Port Vue, died June 11, 2017, at John J. Kane Regional Medical Center. Born September 8, 1939, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Harry Howard and Dorothy Marie (Bedell) Serena and the wife of the late Charles Orvel Redenbaugh. LaVerne worked as a pre-school teacher for over 15 years. She truly dedicated her life to caring for all children. In her early years, she was a Girl Scout and a Cub Scout Leader, where she especially enjoyed the camping trips with the children. She was a member of the former Riverview Baptist Church, where she was also the Sunday School Director. LaVerne was also on her Highschool Reunion Committee.
She is survived by her children, Charles Allen (Kim) Redenbaugh of Monroeville, Terry Lee (Tabitha) Redenbaugh of Rostraver, Debbie Allene (Jeffrey) Brewer of Elizabeth and Shonna Lynne (David) Michaliszyn of Elizabeth Twp.; 11 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brother, Harry Howard (Philomena) Serena, III of Niles, OH; step-brother, Allen Ray Helmick of Littleton, CO; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, LaVerne was also preceded in death by her step-mother, Allene Johnson Helmick Serena.
Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Tuesday, June 13, 2017, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 14, 2017, at 10 a.m., in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery.

Ronald A. Banks, Jr., age 49, of McKeesport, died June 4, 2017 at Trinity West Hospital in Steubenville, OH. Born June 8, 1967 in McKeesport, he was the son of Lois (Downie) and the late Ronald A. Banks, Sr. He was a former bagpiper with the Macdonald Pipe Band, a member of the Clairton Sportsman Club and the Tau Phi Delta Fraternity at Penn State. Ronald was an avid hunter and fisherman. Regis T. Kollar, 82, of Herminie, died Tuesday June 6, 2017. He was born November 22, 1934 in East Pittsburgh, a son of the late Thomas and Martha (Rudy) Kollar and was also preceded in death by his beloved wife of 61 years, Mary Ann (Uderman) Kollar in October 2016 and his grandson Jaicob Kollar. Regis was a graduate of Duquesne University and retired sales manager for Tile City, North Huntingdon and Greensburg stores. He was an active member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, North Huntingdon where he served as an altar server. Regis and Mary Ann raised their family in North Huntingdon and then spent their last few years in Wilmington, NC, where they had a place at the beach.

Dorothy B. Reed, age 88 of The Palms at O’Neil, formerly of Port Vue, died June 6, 2017. Born October 6, 1928 in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Louis D. and Margaret (Griffin) Breitinger, and loving wife of the late Allen Reed. Dorothy was a graduate of Clairton High School, and later went on to receive her degree from Robert Morris College. She began her career in the financial and accounting industry, working for G.C. Murphy Home Office in McKeesport, Cox’s in McKeesport, and later worked for Mr. Michael Miklos. She was a long time member of the Port Vue United Methodist Church, the Port Vue Women’s Club, and the Order of the Eastern Star. In her free time, she loved going to the library and reading novels. Her greatest joy was the time spent with her husband traveling the world on cruise ships. She is survived by her two sons, Garry Reed and Craig Reed, both of Port Vue. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her faithful dog, Cookie. Family and friends will be received at Willig Funeral Home & Crematory on Friday, June 9, 2017 from 9 a.m. until time of funeral service at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
