Marybeth Trapani-Hanasewych, of Allison Park, passed away peacefully at home on October 21, 2023. Daughter of the late Patricia and Dominic Trapani and preceded in death by her beloved husband John. She is survived by her Son Patrick, Siblings Michelle Harper (Michael) Maria Goman (William), brother Michael Trapani (Nancy), beloved dog Luci, and many loving nieces and nephews. Marybeth retired from the Children’s institute in 2019 as director of speech and language therapy department for over 20 years. She also taught worldwide. She was the expert  in Neuro Developmental treatment (NDT)  Her professional accolades and awards were numerous.  Her biggest accomplishment was her son. She will be missed by her many friends who supported her during her courageous 4 year battle with cancer. A Funeral Mass will be held at the St. Teresa Avila Church, Pittsburgh 15237 on October 28, 2023 at 10 am.  Everyone, please meet at church. Virginia Mary "Ginny" Kapisak

Virginia Mary "Ginny" Kapisak, aka "MiMi," 79, of Elizabeth Township, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2023. She was born in McKeesport on October 22, 1943 and was the daughter to the late Paul Joseph and Eugenia Grace (Milkowski) Straker. She was the loving wife of 30+ years to the late Dennis Andrew Kapisak, Sr., before his passing in August 2001. Ginny had many jobs throughout her life. During her younger years, she became a licensed cosmetologist and had her own Beauty Salon in McKeesport. She was a waitress for a few years, until her and her husband, Dennis, opened their own catering business in the Pleasant Hills area - Jason's Catering. She enjoyed reading, going for walks and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers. She was a long time member of Sts. Joachim & Anne Parish - St. Michael's Church and was even a part of a few bible study groups too.

Gerald Eugene "Jerry" Burkett

Gerald Eugnene "Jerry" Burkett, 91, of Port Vue passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2023. He was born in McKeesport on May 18, 1932 and was the son to the late Carl and Mildred (Davis) Burkett. Jerry worked many years, holding many jobs within US Steel at the National Tube. He worked as a 'Hot Baller' on the pouring floor, he worked in the steel & carpenter's shop, and even worked maintenance for awhile. He was an avid cyclist. He met many amazing friends on the bike trail, and even was part of a group called the "Slow Spokes." He is survived by his sister, Lona Burkett of White Oak, and many great friends, including his closest friend, Charles Jeffrey Lee of Rostraver Township. There is no visitation at this time. Toula Pedos, 92, of McKeesport, passed away Monday, October 16, 2023 at home. She was born June 10, 1931 in Mingo Junction, OH., and was the daughter of the late John and Bessie (Saffo) Zahardis. She was the wife of the late Gust G. Pedos who passed away March 3, 2022. Toula worked in sales at the former Kaufman's and later Macy's until she was 80 years old. She was a member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in White Oak where she also served on the board. She was also a member of the Pan-Icarian Brotherhood, President of St. Markella Philoptochos and was a recipient of  the St. Photios award at church. She was also a former Chairman of International Village.

George W. Humphreys, Sr., 80, of McKeesport passed away Monday, October 16, 2023. He was born February 5, 1943 in McKeesport and was the son to the late Edward and Isabella (McBride) Humphreys. George was a McKeesport High School graduate and was the Proprietor of 'George W. Humphreys & Sons, Wallpapering & Painting' company. He was very active with his sons baseball teams through the years  - always coaching them and running the baseball organizations. Once he got older, George became an avid boater. He could spend hours on the lake - each minute was greater than the last. He also enjoyed hunting and Vegas. He is survived by his loving wife, Bridget Humphreys; his two sons, George W. (the late Leica) Humphreys, Jr. of McKeesport, and Jason (R. (Holly) Humphreys of White Oak; granddaughter, Lauren Humphreys; and his best friend, his dog, Bradley. Joseph A. "Joe" Cendroski

Joseph A. "Joe" Cendroski, 79 of White Oak, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2023 at home. Joe was born in Glassport on April 7, 1944 and was the son to the late Stephen and Nancy (Kolodziej) Cendroski.  He was a graduate of Glassport High School and lived most of his life in Glassport, working many years for Copperweld and Yarborough Construction. He married the love of his life, Donna Ward, in February of 1966 and has celebrated 57 years together. An avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Nascar fan, a long time member of the Polish National Alliance, a quick wit, and a great protector of all that he loved - he was man of amazing strength and resilience who fought back after a devastating stroke in 2011. While he was never able to walk again, he adapted to his new life so that he could see his beloved grandchildren grow up.

Ward Scott Kramer, III., 60, of North Versailles, passed away Friday, October 13, 2023.  He was born December 22, 1962 in Wilkinsburg and was the son of Ward Kramer Jr. and Cynthia (Merritts) Kramer of Florida.  Ward obtained his Bachelors Degree in Management Services from Point Park University and went on to work as a Senior Analyst of Professional Services at Becton Dickinson and Company.  He attended the Refuge Church in Manor.  Ward was an award-winning photographer and loved being outside taking pictures.  He was a wonderful “Pappy” to his five grandchildren and loved his family so much.  He was a dedicated and hardworking person, and also enjoyed fishing and landscaping.  He will be greatly missed.

Cheyenne A. Ignat (McKelvey), 76, of Dravosburg, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2023 after a long hard battle with cancer. She was born October 4, 1947 and was daughter of the late Jim and Betty McKelvey, of Dravosburg. Cheyenne was a hairdresser by trade and a volunteer by nature. She was a life member at the Dravosburg Volunteer Fire Department No. 1, a board member at the Dravosburg Housing Association, an active member at Holy Name Church in Duquesne, and involved in many different cancer charities. Cheyenne spent her life doing for others, she was the epitome of a lover and a fighter. She was “fondly” known as the Boss Lady, and she took that title very seriously. She wanted to have her hand in everything and help out anyway she could. To anyone who met Cheyenne along the way, she made you feel you meant as much to her as she meant to you. We will all remember her as Larger than Life!

Dennis Charles Husok

Dennis Charles Husok, 68, of West Newton, passed away Sunday, October 8, 2023. He was born in McKeesport on August 6, 1955 and was the son to the late Andrew and Stella (Szczerba) Husok. Dennis was a member of many clubs - Buena Vista Owls Cub, Versailles Croatian Club, Elizabeth Township Ex-Servicemen's Club - among others. He enjoyed spending his time at these clubs with his friends, but mostly enjoyed the rides on his Harley. Dennis is a Marine Corp Veteran and served from September of 1973 until being honorably discharged in August of 1976. He is survived by his oldest brother, Andrew (Colleen) Husok of Elizabeth Township - their sons, Josh (Chara) Husok, and Jeremy (Allison) Husok with their children, Ashlynn, Brooklynn, Brinley, & Aubrey Husok, also, their daughter, Brandi Husok; his younger brother, Edward Husok of Lincoln Borough with his son, James Husok; and his youngest brother, David (Karolyn) Husok of White Oak - with their daughters, Tiffany Husok, and Tabatha (Joe) Rush, with their children, Joey, McKenna, & Jackson. Earl E. King

Earl E. King, 97 of Elizabeth Township, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2023. He was born September 14, 1926 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Cecil Owen and Nellie Madilyn (Beisner) King. He was the husband of the late Mary Jane (Hankins) King who passed away May 12, 2012. They were married for 64 years. Earl was Supervisor at the former US Steel National Tube Works until his retirement in 1982. He was previously a farmer in his younger life. Earl served in the US Navy during WWII. He dropped out of Meadville High School, lied about his age and joined the US Navy. While serving, he ran the US Navy Post Office in New York City. Although he never saw combat, he was proud of his service because he knew he was making sailors happy getting letters from their loved ones. He was an avid gardener until the age of 93 and loved hunting and bowling.

Robert William "Chirpy" Troy, 76 of Elizabeth Township, passed away on October 9, 2023 at home. He was born April 10, 1947 in Weirton, West Virginia and was the son of the late William Troy and Cecil and Beulah Goodwin, who raised him. He retired from US Steel Clairton Works with 37 years of service as a Millwright. Chirpy was a very proud Army Veteran, who served as a sharpshooter and served in Vietnam, for his service he was awarded The National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal. Rob was a member of the Ex-Serviceman’s Club of Elizabeth Township, Monongahela VFW Post 1409, and the White Oak American Legion Post 701.

She was the wife of the late Nicholas J. Crupie who passed away August 22, 2009. Rose was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish- St. Patrick Church, Christy Park. She worked for the former Sears Roebuck in McKeesport and later, she and her husband Nick were proprietors of Nick's Confectionary Store on Locust Street in McKeesport until their retirement. She was a 1951 graduate of McKeesport High School.
