Gloria Mae (Carlson) Trachsel was called home to the Lord on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at Transitions Healthcare, North Huntingdon following a brief illness. She was born on May 13, 1926 in McKeesport, PA, daughter of the late Alfred and Marie (Langsdorf) Carlson. Gloria survived the Great Depression, supported the WWII war effort by working as an IBM keypunch operator at Firth Sterling, worked as a sales person at a local specialty gift shop, ran her own home-based business, and supported her family owned commercial printing company in finishing operations for many years. She enjoyed gardening, home canning, china painting, home decorating, crafting with friends, and family excursions but what made her happiest was cooking and baking for gatherings with friends and family. Gloria is survived by her children, Laurel Humbert (Ken Shipes) of Claridge, Christopher (Rita) Trachsel of North Huntingdon, Grandchildren Jeremiah (Amanda) Trachsel, and Constance (Sebastien White) Humbert as well as several great nieces and nephews. Gloria was preceded in death by her loving husband Bruce, her sister Evelyn Campbell (Herbert), and two nieces. Dolores A. Karako, 88, of North Huntingdon, passed away Thursday, November 9, 2023. She was born March 2, 1935 in Duquesne, a daughter of the late Steven and Mary Medulic. Prior to her retirement, Dolores worked as a sales clerk for Scozio's Bakery. She was very family oriented and enjoyed traveling and visiting casinos. Lisa Marie Orendi, 59, of North Huntingdon, passed away Sunday, November 5, 2023. She was born January 22, 1964 in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late Harold and Theresa (Hughes) Haynes. Lisa was a graduate of Baldwin Sr. High School Class of '82 and worked for Walmart in the bakery department. Lisa at one time owned her own jewelry store and continued to design and make costume jewelry. Sandra Corcoran, 48, formerly of North Huntingdon, residing in Philadelphia died November 1, 2023 in Jefferson Abington Hospital. She was born January 9, 1975 in Jeannette, a daughter of the late John P. "Jack" and Phyliss Fitzpatrick Corcoran. She is survived by her fiance Keith Davis. Sandra had numerous pen pals throughout the world. She enjoyed cross stitching, coloring , trips to Wildwood with Keith and his family, music and enjoyed leaving the city with Keith and going on nature walks. Richard G. Proctor, 76, of Rillton died October 30, 2023 at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. He was born April 19, 1947 in Pittsburgh, Pa., a son of the late Mason and Elsie Bowers Proctor. Prior to his retirement Rich was the bank manager for First National Bank of Herminie. He was a member of Circleville Methodist Church where he served as the treasurer. He was a graduate of Norwin High School and enjoyed fishing and hunting. Rich served in the United States Air Force. Garry M. “Haystack” Buckholz of North Huntingdon, 68, passed away with his family by his side at Forbes Hospital on October 29, 2023 at 12:25pm. Garry was born on November 29, 1954, the son of the late Edward and Helen (Sebini) Buckholz. He is also preceded in death by his “favorite” mother-in-law (Marie L. Reed), brother-in-law (Vaughn Reed) and sister-in-law (Norma Reed), as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and furry, four-legged friends. Garry retired from truck driving earlier this year, after a career spanning forty-six years.

Rosalie M. Oriss, 88 formerly of North Huntingdon, passed away peacefully on Saturday October 28, 2023 at the Rehabilitation and Nursing Center at Greater Pittsburgh, in Greensburg, PA. She was born on January 11, 1935 in Coopersburg, PA to John and Mary (Pechacek) Langer. Prior to retirement, Rosalie was an elementary school teacher in Allentown and North Braddock, PA and completed her teaching career at Queen of Angels School in the Norwin School District. She was an active member of St. Agnes Parish and enjoyed crafts, sewing and gardening. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bernie in September 2023, her brother John Langer and her brother-in-law James Oriss. She is survived by her son Timothy B. Oriss and his wife Carol, daughter Karen Oravitz and her husband Ken, grandchildren Nicholas (Sabrina) and Andrew Oriss, Natalie and Bradley Oravitz, sister-in-laws Phyllis Langer and Lois Oriss, as well as several nieces and a nephew. Robert E. Karl, 89, of North Huntingdon, passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at Forbes Regional Hospital, Monroeville. He was born September 2, 1934 in Wilkinsburg, a son of the late Robert O. and Agnes (Kreisher) Karl. Prior to his retirement, Bob was a machinist for Westinghouse Electric and a veteran of the US Army. He enjoyed gardening, feeding the birds and playing with his grand dogs, Jack, Charlie, Shadow and Ricky. He was a member of North Irwin VFD and the Irwin Moose. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn J. (Newell) Karl; daughter, Suzanne Poteste, and son, Michael J. and daughter-in-law, Karla. Robert M. Homick, 87, of North Huntingdon, passed away Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at Easy Living Estates, Hunker, PA. James (Jim) Richie, 80, formerly of North Huntingdon died October 17, 2023. He was born March 24, 1943 in Coraopolis, Pa, a son of the late Wilbert Richie and Lucille (Ceyrolles) Nelson. Jim was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. Jim enjoyed camping, golfing and hunting. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as an electrician by Alcoa. Jim was a veteran of the Vietnam war having served in both Vietnam and Japan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy (Micklo) Richie, two sisters, Barbara Smith and Betty Phillips. Betty R. Howell, 92, of North Huntingdon, peacefully passed away Saturday, October 14, 2023. She was born December 16, 1930, a daughter of the late Joseph H. and Eleanor Tong Beck, and the wife of the late Thomas E. Howell. The loving, strong, fun and devoted mother to Thomas E. Howell Jr., Carol (Jack) Moore, Kenneth (Susan) Howell. Grandmother to Amanda (Tim) Golick, Keith (Stephanie) Howell, Alyssa (Jordan) Panicco and Amber Albaugh; great-grandmother to Meadow, Violet, Savannah, Theodore, Melody; and aunt to many nieces and nephews.
