Lee E. "Spanky" Zabelsky, 53, of Duquesne, died suddenly on Sunday, October 15, 2023 at Excela Health Frick Hospital, Mt. Pleasant. Born in McKeesport November 29, 1969, He was the son of LaVon "Vonnie" (Poskon) Zabelsky and the late Leo E. Zabelsky. Spanky was the co-owner of Leo's Service Center in Duquesne with his brother Luke and son Jake and was a contract tow operator for the city of Duquesne. Beloved son of LaVon "Vonnie" Zabelsky, Spanky is also survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Stephanie (Gajdos) Zabelsky, a son Jake Steven Zabelsky, a daughter, Jenna Lee Zabelsky, three brothers, Luke Zabelsky, Lane (Tamara) Zabelsky, and Lenny Zabelsky, A sister Lauren Zabelsky, a nephew, Ethan Marec Zabelsky, a niece, Sophia Rose Zabelsky, aunts, uncles, cousins and his father and mother in-law, Joe and Mary Ann Gajdos.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday October 18, 2023 in the William S. Skovranko Memorial Home Inc., 828 Richford Street, Duquesne, from 12 (noon) until time of blessing services at 7 P.M. with Rev. Thomas Lewandowski officiating.

Eleanor Mazurkiewicz, 90, joined her Parents Stanley and Mary (Sopko) Mazurkiewicz and her brothers Stanley, Edward, Theodore and John Mazurkiewicz and sisters Helen Balaban, Josephine Mazurkiewicz and Irene Spisak in Paradise on October 15, 2023. She is survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. Eleanor was a retired clerk for Thorofare Market and a member of St. Joachim & Anne Parish. Family was everything to her and she loved being included in all get togethers whether Holidays or just being together. She always was willing to contribute either by cooking or baking cookies, cakes or pies. Friends will be received at the Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport on Thurs. from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. William A. Schmotzer, Sr., 86 of Glassport died Oct. 15, 2023. He is the son of the late William and Stella (Sypniewski) Schmotzer. He is survived by his beloved wife Carole (Robinson) Schmotzer; son William (Susan) Schmotzer, Jr.; daughter Cheryl Fries; granddaughter Stephanie (Matt) Johnson; grandsons William (Kiersten) Schmotzer and Warren Schmotzer. Ward Scott Kramer, III., 60, of North Versailles, passed away Friday, October 13, 2023. He was born December 22, 1962 in Wilkinsburg and was the son of Ward Kramer Jr. and Cynthia (Merritts) Kramer of Florida. Ward obtained his Bachelors Degree in Management Services from Point Park University and went on to work as a Senior Analyst of Professional Services at Becton Dickinson and Company. He attended the Refuge Church in Manor. Ward was an award-winning photographer and loved being outside taking pictures. He was a wonderful “Pappy” to his five grandchildren and loved his family so much. He was a dedicated and hardworking person, and also enjoyed fishing and landscaping. He will be greatly missed.

Betty R. Howell, 92, of North Huntingdon, peacefully passed away Saturday, October 14, 2023. She was born December 16, 1930, a daughter of the late Joseph H. and Eleanor Tong Beck, and the wife of the late Thomas E. Howell. The loving, strong, fun and devoted mother to Thomas E. Howell Jr., Carol (Jack) Moore, Kenneth (Susan) Howell. Grandmother to Amanda (Tim) Golick, Keith (Stephanie) Howell, Alyssa (Jordan) Panicco and Amber Albaugh; great-grandmother to Meadow, Violet, Savannah, Theodore, Melody; and aunt to many nieces and nephews. Also surviving many cousins. Betty worked at G.C. Murphy Co. in McKeesport and was a member of the Lutheran Church of Our Saviour. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, hunting and visiting the casinos. Gary Trbovich, age 68, of McKeesport, died on Saturday, October 14, 2023. He was born in McKeesport on September 3, 1955 and is the son of the late Nicholas and Dorothy Kusic Trbovich. He retired as a maintenance director after 30 years of service. He was a lifetime member of St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church in McKeesport and its Men’s Club. Gary served as an officer for the Junior Tamburitzans of Duquesne, as well as performing with the Balkan Dancers in his younger days. He was deeply engrained in Serbian culture from his church to its music and foods. Gary was an avid gardener and an “all Pittsburgh sport team fanatic”. The true lights of his life were his family, Kumovi, and friends.

He worked for 45 years for West Elizabeth Lumber. George received his bachelor’s degree from California University of Pennsylvania and retired from Westinghouse Electric as a production supervisor, where he was employed for over 35 years. Richard Alan Rodgers, 84, of Liberty Boro, left the arms of his loving wife into the loving arms of Jesus on Friday, October 13, 2023, at his home, leaving behind his loving wife of 30 years, Beverly Weaver Yandrlic Rodgers. Alan was born in McKeesport, PA on September 25, 1939, to the late Portia Hartmeyer Rodgers and Eugene Rodgers. He leaves behind a family that he truly loved, and in turn, they loved and respected him, which includes; daughters Sheri Campbell of Liberty Boro and Becky (Carl) Nelson of Gibsonia. Missing their awesome Pap are grandsons, Ryan Intrieri, Tyal (Daphne) Prince, Brendan Finney, and granddaughter Casey Campbell, and great-grandson Cayson Prince. Alan also leaves a daughter, Lori (Tony) Rodgers of Columbus, OH, Richard Alan (Terri) Rodgers II, of North Versailles, and Eric (Jessica) Rodgers, granddaughter Erica Rodgers, grandson Richard Alan Rodgers III, brothers Robert Rodgers of Vandergrift and Edgar Rodgers of McKeesport and many nieces and nephews. Alan was the type of man who always had a big smile for everyone he met, and he loved to talk to anyone about anything. You felt like he was your best friend after only meeting him once. He was so loving and kind, yet always so much fun. He truly enjoyed his life and family. Alan was a graduate of McKeesport Tech High School and served in the United States Air Force in Alaska before it was even a state. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club and held numerous positions in the Jaycees which included State Representative. Alan was retired from TCI Trucking Co., which he loved driving for. He traveled through all fifty states more than once, including Alaska and Hawaii, Hawaii was his favorite. Alan was also an avid fisherman in his younger years and loved working in their flower gardens, ponds, playing games, and having Hawaiian parties. He also attended Park Baptist Church. Family and friends will be received on Monday, October 16th from 2-4 P.M. and 6-8 P.M. at E.C. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 235 Monongahela Ave, Glassport, PA 15045. Stacie L. Ammer, age 60, of Port Vue, died October 12, 2023. Born July 17, 1963, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of Fae (Black) Leber and the late Ronald Leber, Sr.
Stacie was a Registered Nurse for McKeesport Hospital, a traveling IV Nurse, and a Home Care Nurse. Her compassion for others perfectly fit her profession, and she brought comfort and care to many. Stacie enjoyed being outdoors in nature, boating, and going to car shows in the summer. Her big heart was not only felt by the people in her life but by her pets including her son's dog, Winter. Stacie's smile lit up the room.
In addition to her mother, she is also survived by her beloved son, Nick (Aleece Edwards) Ammer; brothers, Ronald Leber, Jr., Shawn (Patty) Leber, and Jered (Jacki Silberman) Leber; nephews, Michael (Lauren) Leber, Jake (Jordan) Leber, Jered (Nikki) Leber, Jr., and Brandon (Elizabeth) Leber; niece, Roni Leber; great-nieces, Evie, Allie, Benson and Zoey and Alan Mondak was a beloved partner for many years and a constant source of love, support and joy in her life.
In addition to her father, she was also preceded in death by a daughter, baby Jessica, and a brother, Raymond Leber.

Kevin M. Ianni, 65, of Adamsburg, passed away Thursday, October 12, 2023 at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital. He was born November 22, 1957 in Greensburg, a son of the late Joseph and Bessie (Helzel) Ianni. Prior to his retirement Kevin was a ceramic machinist for Alcoa and was a member of St. Stephen Byzantine Catholic Church. He was a graduate of Hempfield Sr. High School Class of '75 and was an avid golfer, enjoyed riding his motorcycle, hunting and listening to Oldies music. Kevin followed all Pittsburgh Sports teams and loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Joseph Jr. and Louis Ianni, and stepfather, Robert Block. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Karen (Timko) Ianni; daughters, Kelly Simmons and her husband, Robin, Tina Cunningham and her husband, Eric; grandchildren, Olivia, Isabel, Jack, A.J.; mother-in-law, Eleanor Timko; former wife, Diana Garcia; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Charles Patrick “Pat” Riley, age 66, of Liberty Borough, died on Friday, October 13, 2023. He was born in McKeesport on December 22, 1956 and is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Luke Riley. He proudly served in the United States Army, Special Forces Groups for 16 years, where he was involved in numerous combat missions. He was a pathfinder and learned crime scene investigations skills while in the military. He later retired as a police officer, where he served many different communities. Charles was a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, as well as a former member of the Freemasons. He was an avid sportsman and enjoyed all outdoor activities. He also played football in high school and enjoyed watching it all his life. He was a true lover of music, had own band at one time, and wrote a top 10 song when he was 17 years old.

Cheyenne A. Ignat (McKelvey), 76, of Dravosburg, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2023 after a long hard battle with cancer. She was born October 4, 1947 and was daughter of the late Jim and Betty McKelvey, of Dravosburg. Cheyenne was a hairdresser by trade and a volunteer by nature. She was a life member at the Dravosburg Volunteer Fire Department No. 1, a board member at the Dravosburg Housing Association, an active member at Holy Name Church in Duquesne, and involved in many different cancer charities. Cheyenne spent her life doing for others, she was the epitome of a lover and a fighter. She was “fondly” known as the Boss Lady, and she took that title very seriously. She wanted to have her hand in everything and help out anyway she could. To anyone who met Cheyenne along the way, she made you feel you meant as much to her as she meant to you.
