Donald Michael Bajus, 77, of Munhall died peacefully at home on April 27th, 2023 surrounded by his family. He was a graduate of Duquesne High School and attended The University of Miami, Florida post graduation. Donald was drafted into the U.S. Army Reserves during the Vietnam War earning an honorable discharge. A local business owner, Donald was the former proprietor of Sujab’s Bar on Main Street in Munhall. Always the sports and statistics enthusiast, Mr. Bajus was a long time sponsor of the Munhall Baseball Association and anything related to Steel Valley Athletics. Later in life, Donald served his community as a Steel Valley School Board Director for six years.
Donald was preceded in death by his parents John “Brown” and Louise Bajus and daughter Maria Elizabeth Bajus Heddleston. Donald is survived by his wife of 53 years Mary Louise (Barczy) Bajus; son John Edward, wife Emily and beloved granddaughter Reagan Louise Bajus of Greenwich, CT; son-in-law Brian Heddleston, wife Katie and beloved grandsons John and Nathan Heddleston; sister-in-law Catherine McGee of West View, PA; brother-in-law Steve Barczy and wife Rosemarie of Venice, FL.
The Bajus family would also like to acknowledge the tremendous love and support from the Fetzko, Longstreth, Fatula, Barczy, McGee, Hleba, Tretinik, and Modrick families during this time. We are blessed to have you in our lives.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 30th, 2023 from 2:00-8:00 PM with Panachida Service to begin at 7:30 PM by the Very Reverend Andrew J. Deskevich at the William S. Skovranko Memorial Home Inc. 828 Richford Street, Duquesne, PA 15110. The Blessing will be on Monday, May 1, 2023 at 10:00 AM at Skovrankos followed by a Byzantine Catholic funeral Liturgy at St. John’s the Baptist Cathedral, 210 Greentree Rd, Munhall, PA 15120.

Robert J. Wargo, Sr., age 90 of McKeesport, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023 in Jefferson Hospital. Born April 27, 1933 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Petr and Pauline Wargo. A US Army Veteran of the Korean War, Robert retired from US Steel's Monroeville research facility. He was a member of Saint Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, the Croatian Fraternal Union Lodge #3, and the Archer Hill Bowling League. In his spare time he loved hunting, fishing, yard work and gardening, tinkering with cars, listening to Willies Roadhouse and Croatian music hour, and -- most of all -- spending time with his family and beloved dog, Mr. Gibson. He is survived by his wife Maryann (Volarich) Wargo; his children Robert J. (Ann Marie) Wargo of Pasadena, MD and Carol Reilly of McKeesport; his grandchildren Matthew Bartko, Michael (Samantha Cassol) Reilly, and Lynette (boyfriend Brock Nagle) Reilly; his siblings Paula Gardner of Ohio, Charles "Willie" Wargo of Glassport, Elizabeth Krumenaker of Florida, and Norma Jean Dunlay of North Huntingdon; many nieces and nephews, and his former son-in-law Gene Reilly. Besides his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his siblings Mary Pazur, Helen Kerston, Anne O'Brien, Pete Wargo, Margie Endress, and Irene Hernishin.

Harry A. James, age 66, of Johnstown, PA, died Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born on July 4, 1956, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Harry J. and Louise A. James. Harry graduated from McKeesport High School and attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania and the University of Arizona, studying business and criminology. He moved to Massachusetts, where his career in the mortgage industry took off and spanned 30 years across the country. He worked for several companies but ultimately became self-employed and retired after assisting people buying homes and businesses, helping them obtain loans, closing on sales, and with all aspects of their successful search for their properties.

Janet Marlene (Gessner) Reynolds, 92, of North Versailles, formerly of Christy Park, passed away Tuesday, April 25, 2023. She was born April 10, 1931 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late Albert and Cora Lois (Rankin) Gessner. She was the loving wife of the late Roland H. Reynolds who passed away June 29, 2017. Janet was a life member and former church organist and choir director of the Christy Park United Methodist Church. She was the Executive Secretary to the Plant Manager of the former US Steel National Tube Works.

Daniel C. Bosnyak, age 64, formerly of Glassport, passed away on April 24, 2023. Born in McKeesport on December 1, 1958, he was the son of the late Joseph and Betty Jean (Renda) Bosnyak. He was a delivery driver and enjoyed the outdoors and fishing. He is survived by his brother, Joseph Bosnyak of Liberty Boro; brother-in-law Carl Kurinko of North Huntingdon; nephews, C.J. Glenn E. McLaughlin, 94 of Monroeville, formerly of Liberty Boro, passed away Monday, April 24, 2023. He was born December 17, 1928 in McKeesport and was the son of the late James J. and Clara (Kappler) McLaughlin. Glenn was a US ARMY Veteran. Glenn worked for and retired from US Steel after many years of service. During his tenure he worked in the Christy Park and at the research center in Monroeville locations. He would also work for Airestech in Monroeville after his retirement. He was a jack of all trades and would help anyone with anything. Glenn also enjoyed traveling with his family throughout the United States and enjoyed bowling with his friends every Thursday at the former Monroebowl. He will be greatly missed.

Ronald "Stumpy" DeMaio, age 66 of Rostraver, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023 at Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital. Born October 30, 1956 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late Albert S. and Vilma (Verlich) DeMaio. He worked for U.S. Steel, Clairton Works and went on to worrk for Teamsters Union #241 as a truckdriver. He was a motorcyclist for 50 years and a member of Pagan's Motorcycle Club for 34 years. Ronald was a member of St. Ann's Church in Rostraver. He is survived by his wife Jeroma (Fabian) DeMaio, his daughter Elizabeth (Todd) Chisler of Waynesburg, his granddaughter Jewel Chisler, and his brother Gary DeMaio of Bethel Park. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces-and-nephews, and his sister-in-law Clara DeMaio. In addition to his parents, Ronald was preceded in death by his siblings Michelle Kelly and Russell DeMaio, Sr..

Mary (Tucci) Woody, 88, of North Huntingdon (formerly of East McKeesport) died April 24, 2023. She was born on February 11, 1935 and was a daughter of the late Leonard Tucci, Sr. and Mary (Venuto) Tucci. She was the beloved wife of Ronald J. Woody, Jr. for 60 years and was his 24/7 caretaker for 5 years prior to his death. She was the proud mother of Ronald Jay Woody (Marianne Ondeck Woody) of Murrysville and David Alan Woody of North Huntingdon. Mary was preceded in death by brothers Joseph, Michael, Albert, Leonard, John, William and James. She was also preceded in death by sisters Louise Comunale and Edith Tucci. Surviving is a brother, Richard Tucci of North Huntingdon. She is also survived by close sisters-in-law; Sister Barbara Woody of Sisters of St. Francis in Syracuse, New York and Janet Woody of North Huntingdon. Mary was a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Church in East McKeesport.

Frank Cenna, 69, of Clarksville, MD, and formerly Port Vue, PA died April 5, 2023. He is survived by his sister Jocelyn Cenna and companion Gus Rivas of Clarksville, MD, sister Melissa & husband Dean Edmundson of Leesburg, VA. Nephew Logan Edmundson, and niece Bailey Edmundson also of Leesburg, VA. He was preceded in death by his father Francis J. Cenna, mother Maralyn (Berdis) Cenna, and sister Andrea Cenna. Frank was a graduate of Serra High School and obtained his BA degree in English from Penn State University. He served as a volunteer Ambassador for Tuberous Sclerosis Complex Alliance TSC Clinics located at the University of Maryland and Johns Hopkins Kennedy Krieger Institute in Baltimore, MD. Frank received the TSC Alliance 2021 Keith Hall Award for Distinguished Leadership in appreciation for his extraordinary commitment to the TSC Adult community.

Elizabeth (Womack) “Liz” Johnson, born May 31, 1947, entered her heavenly home, April 15, 2023. She was preceded in death by her loving parents Lydia (Richards) and Walter Lee Womack, adored brother Walter E. Womack, beloved daughter, Tiffany Nicole Johnson, and endeared nephew Marvin Womack.
Liz was raised in Rankin, PA and in 1998 moved to McKeesport where she was an active member of the community. In September of 2012 Liz began a thirty-year career at General Motors/Fisher Body BOC, where she worked in various positions, from janitorial, to fork lift driver, assembly line worker, to welder. Her greatest joy came when her skills were recognized and awarded with a promotion to Team Leader. After retiring from General Motors Liz decided to return to work and gained employment with the McKeesport Area School District as a Security Officer. She was a longstanding member of St. Paul AME Church and diligently served on the Missionary, Steward, Usher, and Trustee Boards, at various times throughout her membership. She also served as a nurse and on the hospitality committee. Liz loved to sing and expressed her love of gospel music by singing in the Ben Harris, Gospel, and Mass Choirs. She was an avid reader of the Bible and participated in various Bible Studies.
