George "Bill" William March, III.

George "Bill" William March, III., 77, of Jefferson Hills, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2022. He was born March 20, 1945 in Mitchel Field, NY and was the son of the late George William March, Jr. and Catherine P. (McGrath) March. Bill worked for many years as a truck driver and prior to his retirement had worked for Dillner Transfer Company for many years. Bill was a skilled mechanic and would fix anything for anyone with a smile on his face. He was an avid gardener, and enjoyed growing his own cucumbers, tomatoes and onions. He enjoyed going to his camp in Bedford County and watching football. Bill also enjoyed westerns such as Perry Mason and Gunsmoke to name a few and loved the show Mountain Men. One of Bill's favorite past times was sitting on his porch with his fly swatter. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by sons, George (Connie) March , IV of Bunola, Dan March of Ennis, Texas, Terry (Renee) Kadar of Uniontown, Louis (Violetta) Kadar of Clairton, and Matt (Carri) Kadar of West Newton, daughter, Suzanne (Mary) Kadar of Belle Vernon, brother, Tom (Dawn) March of Springfield, IL, special cousin and caregiver, Jamie (Paul) Trunzo of Glassport, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by sons, Johnny March and James Kadar and his partner, Joyce Kadar. There is no visitation. Cristina "Cristie" Louise Auretto, 46, of Gibsonia, formerly of Elizabeth Township, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, March 27, 2022. She was born March 3, 1976 in McKeesport and was the daughter of Sue Ann (Brookhouser) Auretto of Gibsonia and the late Frederick Anthony Auretto who passed away September 7, 2016. Cristie was a member of Mary, Mother of God Parish- St. Angela Church, White Oak. She had worked for Magee Hospital in Oakland and was a 1995 graduate of McKeesport High School. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her grandmother, Dorothy Brookhouser of Gibsonia, sisters, Gina (Kip) Kennemur of Birmingham, AL, and Danielle (Tracy Willcox) Auretto of Woodstock, NY, nephews, Nicholas (Kasey) Kennemur, and Zachary and Jared Kennemur, great-nieces, Hayes and Murray Kennemur, aunts, uncles. and cousins. Clara A. Stasko

Clara A. Stasko, age 90 of Port Vue, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2022.  Born June 30, 1931 in Glassport, she was a daughter of the late Adam and Mary (Kraszewski) Zaurski.  A graduate of West Penn Nursing School and a retired nurse from McKeesport Hospital, Clara was a member of Sts. Joachim and Anne Parish.  She was a former Democratic Comitteewoman in Port Vue, a National AARP member, a member of the Red Hats Society, the Glassport High School Alumni monthly lunch group.  Clara was a sports fan as well and will be remembered for her great sense of humor.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Donald Stasko, who passed away November 22, 1974; her sons Mark and David Stasko; her grandson Michael; her sisters Jean Machawick, Laura Suchko, Mary Magdic, and Blanche Derewanko; and her brothers Steve, Walter, Edward, and Stanley Zaurski.  Clara is survived by her grandchildren David (Elizabeth) Stasko, Courtney (Ryan) Gross, Ian (Katie) Stasko, and Jesse (Krista) Stasko; her nine great-grandchildren; and her daughters-in-law Danette Stasko of Elizabeth Twp. and Kathy Stasko of Hudson, OH; and also many nieces and nephews.

Campion, 58, of North Huntingdon passed away Friday, March 25, 2022 at her home.  She was born July 27, 1963 in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late William J. and Eleanor (Landsperger) Pletcher St. Clair.  Prior to her retirement, Karen was a French teacher for Bethel Park School District.  She enjoyed traveling all over the world and trips to Disney World, and was very active in the local communities through Facebook.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald M. Campion; and brother-in-law, Victor Van Allen.  She is survived by her daughters, Marie Gillespie and her husband, Bradley, Eva Campion (Michael Babilya); stepson, Roland Campion and his wife, Colleen; sister, Donna Van Allen; grandchildren, Kelly and Owen; several nieces and nephews;  canine companions, Ivy, Mindy and Pepper; and feline companion, Holly.  Friends will be received on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at the James W. Howard and Anna Marie (Kelly) Snyder. He was a former employee of Fort Pitt Steel and a former member of the West Mifflin Annex Volunteer Fire Department. He is the beloved husband for 54 years to Carol A. (Fecik) Snyder; father of Robert M. Snyder of West Mifflin and Marcie L. (Thomas M.) Smith of Deland, FL; grandfather of Katie Atkinson, Jacob Atkinson and James Smith; brother of Donna (late Gerard C. “Jerry”) Qualters of Cranberry Twp., Howard (Faith) Snyder of North Huntingdon, and the late James Snyder; uncle of Tracy (Frank) DeMarco, Timothy (Jodi) Qualters, Scott (Wendy) Snyder, Todd (Amy) Snyder, Dean Snyder, Denise (Todd) Qualters-Powell and the late Gary Qualters. Robb Joseph Guyer entered his eternal resting place Thursday, March 24, 2022 at the age of 50. He was at home surrounded by family and friends. Born December 7, 1971 in McKeesport, son of Robert W. Guyer and the late Jane E. (Lyle) Guyer. Robb was a Senior Software Engineer for Chameleon Software LLC. In Pittsburgh. He was a devoted Catholic and faithful member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in
North Huntingdon where he served as cantor, was part of the Seton Men’s Group, and volunteered his
time in various church activities. Robb played trombone for the Penn Trafford Community Band, Jazz
Warriors and the Trombone Ensemble. He was also an assistant Cub Master for Scouts of America Pack
201 Trafford/Level Green. He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Pamela S. (Coberly) Guyer, son,
Ethan S. Guyer, and sister, Laura A. Guyer. Family and friends will be received from 2-4pm and 6-8pm
on Monday at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA 15642. A Mass
of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday at 10 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. Robb will be
laid to rest in New St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, North Versailles, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family

Dorothy Sylvia Hubbell

Dorothy Sylvia (Kapso) Hubbell, 90, lifelong resident of Duquesne, Pennsylvania, peacefully passed away and entered into Heaven on Wednesday, March 23, 2022.  Dorothy was born on November 25, 1931 in Duquesne, PA.  She was the daughter of the late Anton and Agnes (Vucetic) Kapso. 

 

She was a retired caseworker for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and later served as a Croatian translator helping immigrants with their United States citizenship and medical care. 

 

Dorothy was a loving mother to her children, Diane (Robert) Zapf, Deborah (Thomas) Mack, William York, Dawn Hubbell, and the late John York.  She is survived by a brother, Stanley Kapso, three grandchildren, Robert (Jennifer) Zapf, Ashley Zapf, and William (Julie) York, and a great-granddaughter, Emelie Zapf.  Dorothy was preceded in death by a sister, Kathryn Smith, and two brothers, William and Joseph Kapso.

 

Dorothy Hubbell was a devoted fan to her beloved Pittsburgh Pirates, Penguins, and Steelers.  She was computer savvy and enjoyed music, gardening, current affairs and politics.  Above all, she loved taking care of her family.

 

Family and friends will be received on Monday, March 28, 2022 from 6 - 8 P.M. at the William S. Skovranko Memorial Home Inc., 828 Richford Street, Duquesne, Pennsylvania 15110.

The Blessing will be on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at the Memorial Home with Rev. Tony Gargotta  officiating.  Burial will follow in Holy Name Cemetery, 1451 Willard Avenue, West Mifflin, Pennsylvania 15122.

She was born in Williamsburg, PA on March 1st, 1921, to the late Lemuel E. and Cora (Chamberlain) Evans. Sara was the loving wife of 44 years to the late Bernard L. Illig. She is survived by her daughter Sara A. (John) Fagan of Tarpon Springs, FL, and sons David L. Illig of West Mifflin and Paul L. (Lynn) Illig of Salisbury, NC. Further survivors include her grandchildren John, Sara, Patrick, and Rebecca, great-grandchildren John Connor, Tess, Kate, Emma, Evelyn, and Joseph, as well as a multitude of nieces and nephews. Sara was preceded in death by her sister Gladys Berkheimer and brothers Harvey, Walter, and Eugene Evans. She was a member of the Dravosburg United Methodist Church, as well as the Women’s Club and food bank. She enjoyed painting, crossword puzzles, reading, and sewing. (Donesec) Geletko.  A former cashier at Sun Drug in West Mifflin, Lucille was a member of Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish - St. Clare of Assisi Church in Clairton.  Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Andrew S. Toth, who passed away December 10, 2015, and her brothers Robert, Charles, and Donald "Doc" Geletko.  Lucille is survived by her children Gary A. Toth of Clairton and Cynthia M. (Jamo) Splenda of Jefferson Hills; her grandchildren Taryn (Duke) Splenda Laha, Kristen Dugan, and Jonathan (Erin) and Steven Toth; her great-grandchildren; her sister Martha Rosko of Clairton; and also many nieces and nephews.

Walter "Vlade" Baskot, 80, of West Mifflin, died March 25, 2022.  He is the son of the late Nikola and Ljubica (Mamula) Baskot.  He is survived by is wife Diane "Dee Dee" (Korach) Baskot; son Michael (Robyn) Baskot; daughter Nikole (Michael) Barach; grandchildren Steven, Luke, Nadia, Dara, Keira and Nikko; sister Milica "Mitzie" (the late Nick "Shoosh") Pilipovich; nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his sisters Myra Farrell and Zora Nedzbala and brother Dushan "Duddy" Baskot.  Vlade was a member of St. Sava's Serbian Orthodox Church and a member of their Men's Club.  Friends received Teichart-Gracan Funeral Home, Duquesne on Sun. from Noon to 6 and on Monday at St. Sava's Serbian Orhodox Church from 10 to 11:00 am, at which time a funeral litergy will be held with the Very Rev. Albert was retired from the former Precoat Metals of McKeesport. After retirement, he worked for Wal-Mart of North Versailles. Albert attended Mary, Mother of God Parish, St. Patrick Church of Christy Park. He was an avid Pittsburgh Sports fan and an animal lover, leaving behind his loyal dog, "Girl." Albert's family meant the world to him. If you were blessed to meet and know him, you got all of Albert; nothing was ever held back!

(Yushan Zhang) Shuck of Philadelphia and his daughter Michelle (Randy) Swann of Townville. He is also survived by his brother Derek (Donna) Shuck.  John McKendry, 55, of Moon Township, PA, passed away on March 16, 2022, at UPMC McKeesport Hospital. Born July 31, 1966, in Sewickley, he was the son of the late John and Dorothy (King) McKendry. John was a professional painter for the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades.
 He is survived by his brother, Michael and Charlene McKendry of Sewickley; nieces Sarah and Ashley McKendry of Pittsburgh; uncle, William and Helen McKendry of Shinglehouse, PA; and uncle, Woodrow McKendry of Moon Township.
