Sarah Jean "Sally" Haberman, 96, of Greenock Heights, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021. She was born July 23, 1924 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late George E. and Eva (Knight) Smith. She was the wife of the late John H. Haberman who passed away November 25, 2007. Sally was a member of Central Presbyterian Church where she was a Deacon, Elder, Choir member and past president of the Women's Association. She was also a member and past president of the McKeesport Symphony Ladies Auxiliary. She was previously a member of the former First United Presbyterian Church of Boston.

Pamela S. Van Ryn, 63, of North Huntingdon, passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at UPMC McKeesport Hospital. She was born May 13, 1957 in Homestead, daughter of the late Robert and Gerri (McClintock) Thomas. Pam was a graduate of Norwin Sr. High School Class of 75 and a member of Norwin Christian Church. She was the best mom and grandma and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed gardening and loved sunflowers. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Robert Van Ryn; daughters, Hanna Burke and her husband, Pat, Marissa Donahoe and her husband, Tom; brothers, Robert D. Thomas Jr. and William Thomas; grandchildren, Logan, Landon, Josephine, Porter and Wyatt. Friends will be received on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the James W. Ronald W. McKee, age 75, of Duquesne, passed away on March 22, 2021, in Brooksville, Florida. Born in McKeesport on January 15, 1946, he was the son of the late William J. and Alverna (Stein) McKee. Ron was the owner of McKee Asphalt Paving Co. in Duquesne for 50 years and enjoyed going to the casino and making sure his vehicles were impeccable. Richard Anthony Pomponio, 88, of McKeesport, passed away Wednesday, March 24, 2021. He was born October 16, 1932 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Ovidio and Catherine Pomponio. Richard was a member of Christy Park United Methodist Church and was a US Navy Veteran serving during the Korean War. He was a former City Controller and Tax Collector for the City of McKeesport and had retired from US Steel. Richard was manager of McKeesport 50 + Softball Team and was instrumental in the Mon Valley Unemployed Committee that was formed in the 1980s.

She loved going to the Twinsburg Festival in Ohio with her twin sister Ella and her greatest comfort was walking through the Holy Doors of the Vatican in Rome.

Born February 19, 1931 in Bitner, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Edith P. (Stull) Nicklow and wife of the late Lawrence C. Lenhart. She was a loving mother to Deborah L. (the late Ronald) Albeck of Boston and the late Robert L. Lenhart; grandson, Timothy Lenhart of Altoona; brother, Robert D. Margaret (Knight) Shegan (née Chuhanich), 94, of McKeesport, passed peacefully at home among family on Tuesday, March 23, 2021. She was born February 18, 1927 in Hollidays Cove, West Virginia. She was the wife of the late David J. Shegan, who passed away April 18, 1979. “Margie” graduated from McKeesport High School in 1945. As a young woman she worked as a camera girl at the Vogue Terrace in North Versailles and subsequently in the mail room at the Irvin Works before starting a family with her husband. Margie was a member of St. Sava Orthodox Church in McKeesport, where she was a former member of The Young at Heart's group. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and gardening. She loved traveling, beach vacations and annual family reunion weekends.
