Sally A. (Bohlander) Marraccini, age 88, formerly of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at ManorCare Health Services - Bethel Park. She retired as a sales associate for JCPenney in Century III Mall in West Mifflin after 25 years of service. As a devoted follower of Jesus, she had the joy of the Lord and was a member of Full Gospel Assembly Church in Monongahela. She often showed her love to others through her delicious cooking and baking. She enjoyed time sitting on her back porch and taking care of the beautiful flowers throughout her yard. She was a blessing to all who knew her. Born July 22, 1932 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Sarah (Webster) Bohlander. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Angelo J.  Marraccini; sons, Darrell (Julie) Marraccini of Yerington, NV and Angelo J. Marraccini of Elizabeth; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Darlene Maisano of Florida; brother, John "Sap" Bohlander of Maryland; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter, C. Rene Marraccini Pistell, two sisters and a brother. No visitation is planned. A graveside service will take place on Monday, March 22, 2021 at 10 AM graveside at Round Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth Twp. with Pastor Tom Harding officiating. Darlene R. Kmetko, 75, was born January 14, 1946 in McKeesport and moved to North Versailles, PA. She was the beloved daughter of Ruth Casey (Buzek) and Raymond Casey Sr. She departed this life at 4:25am Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Manor Care-Shadyside Pittsburgh, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Salter Sr.; mother, Ruth Casey (Buzek); and brothers Raymond Casey Jr., James Casey and John Casey.  

Darlene attended CCAC and graduated from Connelly Nursing School in Pittsburgh PA. Upon graduating, she worked as an LPN for Riverside Nursing Home.

Darlene enjoyed spending time with her family, praying and worshipping, cooking/baking, reading, listening to music, Bingo, fishing, gardening, watching movies (especially Tyler Perry MADEA), eating out, movies, sports, and comedy.

Darlene was a member of Mulberry Community Full Gospel Church located in Wilkinsburg, PA.

James (“Jim”) Emery, 91, of Alachua, FL passed away on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Shands Hospital in Gainesville, FL after a brief illness. He was born September 1929 in Dravosburg, Pa., to the late David and Elizabeth Emery and is survived by his wife of 61 years, Nancy, his sons, James (Chris), and Glenn (Kelly), his grandchildren, James, Michael (Ashley), and Tedi Marie and his great-grandchildren, Iris and Beckett.

He graduated from McKeesport Vocational High School prior to serving in the Army during the Korean War. Upon returning home after his service he became a carpenter at Mesta Machine Company where he worked for more than 29 years. Prior to moving to Alachua, Fla., Jim was a long-time resident of West Mifflin, Pa., where he coached his boys in little league, was their "den mother" in the Cub Scouts and biggest supporter in everything they did.

Richard W. Brendza, age 88, of Clairton and formerly of McKeesport, passed away peacefully in his home comforted by his family on March 16, 2021. Born on January 31, 1933 in McKeesport, he was the son of the late John and Helen (Janocko) Brendza. Richard was a Navy veteran serving during the Korean War, an electrical motor inspector for U. S. Steel Irvin Works in West Mifflin and a member of Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish, Clairton Worship site. After retirement Richard enjoyed spending time on the Monongahela riding his Jet Ski and will always be remembered for his fun loving personality. Richard is survived by his loving daughter Sharon Brendza, his caregiver with whom he resided.

Michael Goda Jr., age 92, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, March 15, 2021. Born July 13, 1928 in Cokeburg, PA, he was the son of the late Michael Goda Sr. and Maria (Kovalchik) Goda.

During the Depression of 1930, Mike, his mother and two siblings left the United States and went back to Slovakia, where the family was from. In 1948, Michael returned to the United States where he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in the 31st Infantry Dixie Division in the Korean War. He worked at U.S. Steel Clairton Works for 31 years.

Mike was an avid singer, not only at home but as a cantor for 25 years at Ascension of Our Lord Byzantine Catholic Church.

If you knew Mike, you knew he loved to work on his farm where he gardened and raised sheep for many years. He also enjoyed going to his grandchildren’s sporting events where everyone knew him as “Pap.” He never met a person he didn’t like and always enjoyed talking to everyone.

Bob retired from Mt. Vernon of Elizabeth, where he worked in maintenance and transportation. He also worked as a foreman at US Steel Duquesne Works. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with family and friends.

Albert retired from CECO Steel, where he was a welder. He was a US Navy veteran serving during WWII. Albert enjoyed darts, all Pittsburgh sports, and dancing in his early years.

He is survived by his children, Mary Clouse of White Oak, George Lipchey of Glassport, Kathy Riley of White Oak, and Donna Campbell of Glassport; 23 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren; also nieces and nephews.

Prior to her retirement she was employed as a Registered Nurse by both Redstone Highlands, Greensburg and Riverside Care Center. She enjoyed birds, gardening, and Pittsburgh sports teams.
