Raymond G. York, age 93 of Jefferson Hills, passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2021 at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born April 7, 1927 in Clairton, he was a son of the late Andrew and Rose M. (Lutheran) York. A member of Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish – St. Clare of Assisi Church, Raymond received an associate’s degree from Carnegie Tech and retired as a draftsman for US Steel’s Clairton Works. He was also a Veteran of both the US Navy and Army, serving respectively in World War II and the Korean War. Raymond was very active with the Daniel Keffer Post #75 of the American Legion in Clairton, serving as its past commander, chaplain, and financial officer. He also helped many times as a Scoutmaster for his sons’ BSA Troops when they were younger. In his spare time, Ray enjoyed rooting on the hometown Steelers and Pirates. He is survived by his wife of 69 years Rita (Belinski) York; his children Randall (Mary) York of Dormont, Monica King of Stow, OH, and Richard York of Pittsburgh; his grandchildren Jennifer York of Reston, VA, Maureen (J.W.) Johnson of Carnegie, Becca Tracy of Nashville, TN, and Brett (Lauren) Tracy of Seattle, WA; his great-grandson Beck Johnson; his sister Rosemary Armstrong of Syracuse, NY; and also nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by his brother A. Kenneth York.

Russell Pishko, 69, of Glassport died Sunday March 7, 2021. He is the son of the late Anthony and Mary (Hopey) Pishko. Joseph F. Skalican, age 95, of West Mifflin, passed away on March 8, 2021, at Harmar Village Care Center-Cheswick. Born in Duquesne on March 20, 1925, he was the son of the late Michael and Anna (Meschanik) Skalican. He was retired from U.S. Steel-Duquesne Works as a Motor Inspector, was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish-Holy Trinity Church, West Mifflin, a member of their Men’s Club, worked at the Church fish fry for many years, and he proudly served his country in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He enjoyed taking care of fruit trees, his vegetable garden, and flower beds & hedges, liked to go dancing and was an avid coffee drinker. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary Veronica (Dudash) Skalican; father of Juliann F. Skalican and her husband, Geoffrey Crowe of Penn Hills; grandfather of Julia Marion Crowe (Adam); and is also survived by in-laws, Donald Rausch and Margaret Forsythe and many nieces and nephews.

A retired glass cutter for Guardian Glass in Floreffe, he was a member of the Clairton Hunting & Fishing Camp (CHF) and enjoyed his motorcycles and shooting guns. Barbara B. Brady, 80, of Sewickley Township, passed away Sunday, February 21, 2021. She was born December 9, 1940 in Braddock and grew up in East McKeesport. She was the daughter of the late William Beck and Ruth (Eckenrode) Beck Aiton. Barbara worked at the University of Pittsburgh before raising her family, later returning to work at the former Daily News in McKeesport and the former Baldock nursing home in North Huntingdon where she enjoyed playing the piano for the residents. She was a member of The Church in Sutersville and the former Sutersville Presbyterian Church. Barbara loved going to the ocean throughout her entire life and was able to see, and touch, the ocean for the last time in December. Barbara, most of all, loved spending time with her family and was very proud of her grandchildren, often traveling to celebrate birthdays, attend soccer matches, band and orchestra concerts, dance recitals, and high school and college graduations.

Daniel Gary "BIG DANNY" Foster, age 72, of Meadville, formerly of McKeesport, went ALL IN on pocket aces and busted on March 3, 2021, in Meadville, PA. He was born in Pittsburgh on February 5, 1949. He was the son of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Wissman) Foster and the LOVING husband of Hope (Dunn) Foster for 44 years. Dan retired as a property manager at Apartments Unlimited in 2003 to aggressively pursue a career as a professional gambler. He was also the wildly successful owner and operator of the legendary Dunn's Dairy in McKeesport for almost 20 years. Big Danny could flip a burger like no other, "The DUNNBURGER", and could play a mean game of pinball. He was a graduate of Serra Catholic High School after successfully digging graves to pass Latin. Dan was a US Army veteran and toured in Korea. He was known for many things throughout his life. Dan had an incredible sense of humor and an uncanny way to make you laugh at will. He was a role model to many, a rock of stability, and a fierce family man. He enjoyed playing cards with his McKeesport life-long friends, Mama Pepino's cohorts, and many, many trips to the casino. He had an intense passion for coaching his Daughter Hayley's softball teams and relaxing to Doo-Wop oldies. The most important thing to Big Danny was his family's happiness. He loved and adored his precious grand-babies.

Anna Ulokovic, age 86, of McKeesport, died March 4, 2021, at The Grove at Irwin. Born June 27, 1934, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Libero and Marie (Cecchini) Durigon and wife of the late Victor Ulokovic. Anna worked at the family bar, the Clover Tavern, where she bartended and cooked and cared for her family at home. She loved listening to polka music on the weekend, playing bingo and enjoyed a card game of 500 with friends. She especially enjoyed her weekly Saturday movie night dates with her daughter and going out to eat a meal.
