Rebecca Jones, 72, of Port Vue died May 23, 2024, at her home. Born November 23, 1951, in Swissvale, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Tkach) Conlogue, and the wife of the late Edward O. Jones.
Rebecca is survived by sisters, Ruth (Christopher) Buckley of Monongahela and Kathleen (Andrew) Kovaly of Ft. Myers, FL; and brother, Robert (Janet) Conlogue of North Huntingdon; sister-in-law, Phyllis Conlogue of Glassport; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Edward O. Jones, 75, of Port Vue died May 23, 2024, at his home. Born October 10, 1948, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Edward and Virginia (Branick) Jones, and the husband of the late Rebecca (Conlogue) Jones.
Edward served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was active with the Port Vue American Legion, Post 477 where he proudly served as a member of the Honor Guard, according military honors to deceased veterans. He worked for many years and retired from Bechtel Bettis, Inc.

Jack J. Lenze, age 77 of Elizabeth, died on Wednesday, May 29, 2024 in New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Hospital in Manhattan. He had recently made the long trip from his condo in Hallandale, FL to New York, with plans to relocate to Westchester County to spend his days with his daughter Heather, his son-in-law Nathan, and his grandchildren, Quinn and Bear. He was looking forward to watching Bear play soccer, treating Quinn to ice cream cones, spending time in the Catskill Mountains, and being a short train ride away from Reston, VA, where he loved to visit his son Mike, daughter-in-law Audrey, and best buddy and grandson Luca.
Born January 20, 1947 in Munhall, PA, Jack was a son of the late Anthony and Rena (Martorelli) Lenze. A retired science teacher for the West Mifflin School District, Jack was a member of Sts. Joachim and Anne Parish - St. Michael's Church. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, the late Kathleen A. (Zewe) Lenze, who died on June 29, 2023—whom we know was waiting for Jack with a big hug and a slice of homemade berry pie at the gates of Heaven.

Frank E. Johnson IV, 50 of Adamsburg, died June 1, 2024 at Allegheny General Hospital. He was born December 11, 1973 in Jeannette, a son of the late Frank E. Johnson III and Carolyn “Nazz” Wertz Johnson. He was a Norwin High School graduate Class of 1992, and worked as the manager of shipping and receiving for Extrude Hone. He loved all levels of football, especially the University of Michigan and the Detroit Lions, and was a member of a Southwest Bowling League of Main Bowling Center Greensburg. He is survived by his wife Maria Byzon Johnson; daughter Natalie (Alex) Impink; son Aaron; grandchildren, Karsyn, Ayla, and Nolan; and sister Pam (Kary) Yurcisin. Visitation will be Wednesday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon. Michael "Dink" Derewonko, 72, of Glassport, passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2024 after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer's Disease. He was born November 20, 1951 in McKeesport and was the son of the late Leonard M. and Blanche J. (Zaurski) Derewonko. Dink was a US ARMY Veteran serving during the Vietnam Era in Germany, he was an M16 Sharpshooter, Expert Grenade and for his service he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal. He worked in maintenance for Epic Metals for 10 years. Dink was an avid bicycle rider, he also enjoyed fishing and being outdoors. He was Coach Mike for his son's hockey teams and loved the game of hockey as well. Dink loved to kick back after a long day of work and have an ice cold Stroh's. He will be greatly missed.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sidney R. Pope, a cherished member of the McKeesport community. Born on December 26, 1938, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Thomas and Bertha (Walbaum) Pope and the husband of the late Janice Marie (Galeza) Pope.
Sidney dedicated his life to serving others through his work at United States Steel and PAKCO, as a bricklayer. He also worked at First Student, where he found joy in caring for children and offering them valuable life advice.
As a proud Army veteran who served in Germany during the Vietnam War, Sidney embodied a strong sense of duty and honor. His commitment to his country was matched only by his dedication to his family and community. Sidney was deeply involved with the McKeesport Baseball Association, where he enjoyed mentoring young players and instilling in them the values of teamwork and perseverance.

William E. "Bill" West, 84, of McKeesport passed away Sunday, May 26, 2024. He was born in Scottdale, PA on August 17, 1939 and was the son of the late William Hayes and Olive Sophia (Ulander) West. Bill worked for 45+ years for Marraccini's Grocery Stores, and was a member of Sampson Mills Presbyterian Church since 1996 - as well as a member of the Duquesne-McKeesport Masonic Lodge #731. He graduated from Clairton High School in 1957, then attended the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics. After graduation, Bill went into the Army - serving for a few months before transferring into the Air Force and the Air Force Reserves where he served until 1968. Bill was an avid gardener, but also enjoyed golfing and loved corvettes.
