Donna was a long-standing member of St. Agnes Church, and she served the community for several decades as a real estate agent for Norwin Agency. Preceding her in death are her husband of 69 years, Jon, an infant daughter Dawn Ann, four siblings, and a grandson, Alex Krivoniak. Jacob Michael Wilson was born on March 9, 2002. A baby boy full of smiles and joy grew into a young man with a servant's heart. A warrior for the oppressed. Jake was a free spirit full of life. He loved family, friends, animals, computers, and bikes. As a young boy, he loved riding his pedal bike and doing jumps. As he grew, that passion turned from pedal to dirt bikes. As he grew, his servant's heart grew. We watched the little boy who happily helped at Walnut Grove food bank become a 237 Jr firefighter. Jake attended South Allegheny High School. He was on the track team and loved to run. In his senior year Jake started an initiative to repair and restore old computers because not every student has one. Jake graduated in June 2020. Jake worked for Fayette Resources as a caretaker for special needs adults. That was Jake always helping someone. Jake always had your back or would give you the shirt off his back.

I really hate asking for money, but we’re at a critical point.
Here’s the bottom line: Look at the readership figures above.
If everyone who reads our website had given us $1 last year, we would never need to run advertising. But in reality, only a small percentage of people ever donates — usually as a thank-you for posting a death notice.
If it wasn’t for support for a few faithful donors — among them, the G.C. Murphy Co. Foundation, the Bill Persson family, the Flynn Family Foundation, Larry and Rikki Berger, and Eric and Judy Wisniewski — we’d be in big trouble.
As it is, we’ve taken two big financial hits recently. Our advertising revenue has dropped by about $100 per month after we responded to complaints by limiting the number of ads you see. And one of our longtime donors says they need to cut back their support by about $100 per month.
At the same time, our expenses have gone dramatically up. We are working to move our websites to a new server and as a result, our webhosting cost has already increased $1,200 — and we haven’t moved yet.
Royalties for playing music have gone up about 40 percent. We also now must pay for a service to file reports with the royalty-collecting organizations — that’s costing us $50 per month. (You may have noticed that several local Internet radio stations have gone out of business because they can no longer afford the costs.)
Add all of that up — we need to raise another $500 a month or so, or we’re not going to be able to continue. We have a small reserve fund right now but it’s not going to last.
If you are financially able, and would like to make a gift, please consider doing so.
Donations may be made by check or money order to:

I think what we do is important. I think that other people do, as well. Last year, we were honored by the Press Club of Western Pennsylvania with the “Service to Journalism” award. Two of our reporters received separate awards for their work.
Five years ago, we were singled out by Columbia Journalism Review and asked to contribute monthly pieces about local news coverage, which were later collected into a book called “American Deadline.”
If you think this is important — even if you just visit our obituaries page every day — we very much could use your support. We pay reporters $50 to $100 per story. Your $50 or $100 gift goes directly to paying for their work — I don’t take any kind of payment from this website, and neither do any of our board members or officers.
If we could raise an extra $5,000 to $10,000 this year, we’d be OK.
We are recognized as a tax-exempt organization by the Internal Revenue Service, so your gift may be tax-deductible as a charitable contribution.
If you have a business that is looking to make a contribution, or if you have a charitable foundation that could donate money to help us, please reach out.
Thank you for your continued support of our organization.

Born March 18, 1982, in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph Arnold Jr. and the living Debra Scott. Brandon had a heart of gold, a deep connection with his family, and a passion for animals. He once rescued a turtle, showcasing his compassion and tenderness for all living things. His dog, Dezi, was also a beloved companion during Brandon's life, often near his side. An enthusiastic sports fan, Brandon found joy in football and the excitement of UFC fights. He possessed a philosophical nature, enriching discussions with his strong opinions and unique perspectives. Brandon's mother, Debra, fondly remembers how he could light up a room with his powder blue eyes and charming smile, making it impossible for her to be mad at him as a child, even when he was in trouble. Brandon was not just a brother to Christa, he was also her closest friend, and the memories they share will be forever cherished. She will miss their lengthy phone calls, texts and times spent at his nephew's football games. Their bond was a source of great strength and joy for the both of them. Brandon was one of the coolest uncles ever to be known from the way he dressed to his taste in music. His nieces and nephew will never forget the times they shared with him. He was as equally proud of their achievements in education, sports, career and being what he always called "such great kids". More than anything, he will be remembered for the deep love he had for his family and friends.

Ronald B. Nerger, 92, of East McKeesport, passed away peacefully at home on June 5, 2025.
Ron (RB), born in Braddock, PA, proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, earning two medals in recognition of his service. After returning from military service, he began his career with the railroad, and for 10 years juggled both railroad work and driving for Greyhound. Eventually, he left the railroad to drive full-time for Greyhound, where he stayed for three decades. Ron was always a character behind the wheel and was well known for keeping passengers laughing with his antics and stories. Even in retirement, he kept driving, taking on school bus routes and bringing smiles to the kids he drove.
But the most important work he ever did happened at home. Together with his wife Karlene, they opened their home to more than 100 foster children over the course of 30 years. Their home was a place of stability, safety, and love. They were the kind of foster parents who didn’t just care for kids...they changed lives.

Dianne Marie "Lil Di" Michel
Born April 4, 1967
Adopted into the arms of Lottie Ann Addington on March 12, 1968
Passed on June 4, 2025
And now, at last, is at peace.
Dianne Marie Michel, lovingly known by many as "Lil Di," was a woman of deep feeling and fierce edges-a complicated soul who lived a life marked by struggle, laughter, survival, and love in her own way. She was a daughter, a sister, a mother, a friend, and in many ways, a mystery even to herself.
She loved hard, hurt deeply, and rarely let her guard down. But underneath the weight she carried was a spirit that still wanted softness, still reached for grace.
Dianne had a fire in her-one that lit rooms when she let it, and sometimes scorched when the pain grew too heavy. She was scrappy, unapologetic, and entirely unforgettable. For those who knew her, even briefly, she left an impression that didn't fade easily.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Lottie Ann Addington, whom we trust met her with open arms on the other side.

Gerald “Jerry” T. Wagner, age 98, passed away peacefully in the home he built 65 years ago, surrounded by the family he so deeply loved. Born on April 25, 1927, in McKeesport, PA, Jerry lived a life defined by devotion—to his country, his work, and most of all, his family.
A proud veteran, Jerry honorably served in both the U.S. Army and Navy before returning to Glassport, where he began a long and skilled career as a machinist at the Irvin Works. It was also there that he met the love of his life—Evelyn, the girl who lived just across the street. Together they shared 56 wonderful years of marriage before Evelyn’s passing in 2010.
Jerry and Evelyn built a beautiful life together, raising six remarkable children: Gerald A. Wagner (Lynn), Bert P. Wagner (Kathy), Margaret J. Wagner, Kellie M. Wagner (Richard), Anthony J. Wagner, and Stacey L. Skerkoski (Eugene). Their home became the heart of the family—a place where grandchildren and great-grandchildren gathered, laughed, learned, and were loved unconditionally by their “Pap” and “Pappy.”
He leaves behind 14 beloved grandchildren: Lauren, Nathan, Hanna, Emily, Jessica, Jeremy, Luke, Jesse, Jacob, Jared, Josef, Chloe, Colton, and Caden—and 6 treasured great-grandchildren: Finnegan, Sullivan, Emerson, Olivia, Ford, and Vada.
Jerry lived a full life, rich in hobbies and humor. He loved cars, hunting, fishing, playing cards, and pulling off the perfect practical joke. Above all, he cherished a house full of family. His warmth, wit, and unwavering presence were the foundation of the Wagner family, and his legacy will continue to live on in every story told, every laugh shared, and every memory made.
He was the cornerstone of our lives, and his absence leaves a profound void. The impact he had on all who knew him is immeasurable, and the love he gave will forever echo in our hearts.
