Ruth M. Fassinger age 90, of West Mifflin, on June 22, 2017, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Marion (Yost) Schorr. She formerly worked at Hills Department Store, Kennywood Mall. She was a member of St. Joseph Church, Duquesne and their Confraternity of Christian Mothers and Guild. She was an honorary member of the GFWC Women’s Club of Duquesne. She was the beloved wife of 59 years to the late Raymond F. Fassinger; mother of Judith (Dennis) Turner of Kennewick, WA, Robert (”Sue”) Fassinger of Elizabeth Twp., Richard (Linda) Fassinger of Elizabeth Twp. Also four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Sister of the late Robert (surviving spouse Eileen) Schorr of West Mifflin. Visitation Sunday, June 25, 2017, from 12-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the MALOY - SCHLEIFER FUNERAL HOME, 915 Kennedy Ave., Duquesne, 412-466-3300, where a Blessing Service will be held on Monday at 9:30 a.m., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph Church at 10 a.m. Rev. She was born September 16, 1947 to the late Helen S. and Andrew Corrigan of McKees Rocks. Stephanie was the loving wife of the late Alan Crow. Stephanie enjoyed times at Yough Lake and the family camp. She loved her family and pets, who will sorely miss her charismatic wit and unique sense of humor. Stephanie left this world as she lived her life—on her own terms. She is survived by her brother, Michael Corrigan; her children, David (Judy) McCrum; Yvonne Firczak; Karl McCrum. Charles “Chuck” Cortese, 86, of North Huntingdon died Sunday June 18, 2017. He was born April 20, 1931 in Adamsburg, a son of the late John and Josephine (Ross) Cortese. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Gail E. (Butler) Cortese; a son Shawn P. Murphy; brothers Matthew, Donald, Samual, Phillip, and John. Chuck attended Adamsburg elementary school and Norwin High School where he excelled at football. He is a U.S. Air Force veteran that served as an aerial gunner on a B-36 bomber during the Korean Conflict.
