Dorothy A. Bucy, 75, of Boston, died Thursday March 2, 2017. She was born December 4, 1941 in Trafford and was the daughter of the late John and Ann Lawrence Defrank. Dorothy had a career outside of the home handling financial matters for various companies over many years, but her true life's work was being the matriarch of her family, providing love, comfort, and guidance to not only her entire family, but to those blessed enough to have been touched by her love and faithful spirit. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, James W. Bucy, daughters, Dawn M. (Jeffery A.) Como of Boston, and Patricia A. ( Kevin C.) Zaken of North Huntingdon, son, Thomas E. (Deanna R.) Bucy of Jefferson Hills , grandchildren, Joshua D. Zaken, Megan E. Como, Lindsey N. Zaken, Jacob R. Como, Bella R. Bucy, and TJ Bucy, sister, Marietta (Donald) Baer of Murrysville , nieces and nephews.

Dr. Samir J. Ayoub, 73, of Elizabeth Township, died Friday March 3, 2017. He was born June 7, 1943 in Alexandria, Egypt and was the son of the late Jacques and Julia Assily Ayoub . He was a member of St. Michael Parish in Elizabeth Township. Dr. Ayoub was a Dentist for over 40 years and had his practice in Versailles. He is survived by his wife Marian P. Ruscin Ayoub, daughter, Renee Ayoub, brother, Selim J. (Huguette) Ayoub of Longwood, FL, sister, Marie Theresa (William) Brown of McKeesport, brother-in-laws, George R. (Carol) Ruscin of Elizabeth Township and John M. (Diana) Ruscin of Duquesne, nieces and nephews.

Michael Stephen Pope, 57, of Liberty Borough, died Tuesday February 28, 2017 at home. He was born December 2, 1959 in McKeesport and was the son of Ronald Russell Pope and Mary Ann Benish Pope of Liberty Borough. Michael was a member of St. Mark Parish - Liberty Borough and was a graduate of the Mon Valley School. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his sisters, Debra (Jim) Stripsky and Cheri (Stephen) Tedrick of McKeesport, nieces, Brenda, Joyce and Lauren Tedrick, and nephews, Alex and Erik Stripsky and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jack T. Riley, age 86 of McKeesport, died Friday, March 3, 2017. He was born in McKeesport on April 8, 1930 and is the son of the late Philip and Mary Lacey Riley. He served in the Army during the Korean War in the 3rd Infantry 7th Armored Division and received the following military medals; Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medal, Korean Service Medal (2 Bronze Stars), Combat Infantry Badge, and United Nations Service Medal. He was retired from US Steel Irvin Works in West Mifflin. He loved walking and was an avid sports fan, especially the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
He is survived by his partner, Dolores Chancio of McKeesport; son, George A. Sabol of West Mifflin; daughters, Sue A. Edwards of Duquesne, Agnes (Michael) Faulds of West Mifflin; sisters, Helen Uhrin and Nora Riley of Versailles; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Philip and James Riley.

Antoinette “Toni” M. Ashbaugh, age 59, of McKeesport, died March 4, 2017. She was born in McKeesport on December 14, 1957, the daughter of the late Anthony and Lucille Kolodziej Dumas and the wife of Joseph J. Ashbaugh. She was employed as a union secretary for United Steelworkers Local 2227 of West Mifflin for over 20 years.
She is survived by her daughters, Karen (Alan) Toth of Plum Borough; Foreste (Derek) Hess of North Huntingdon; sons, Winford Brock (Sophia) Holtzclaw of NC; Randy (Diamond) Keefer of McKeesport; brothers, Harry Dumas of West Mifflin; Martin Dumas of Lake Isabella, CA; Paul (Teresa) Dumas of Charlotte Hall, MD; Fred Dumas of White Oak; Carl Dumas of Orange County, CA; grandchildren, Christian Toth, Nathan Toth, Julia Toth, Lily Hess, R.J. Keefer, Charlotte Toth, Victoria Keefer, Charlie Holtzclaw, and Savannah Keefer. She is preceded in death by her brothers, Phillip Dumas, Regis Dumas, and Larry Dumas.
