June E. Traeger, 99, of White Oak, died Thursday, November 3, 2016 at Mount Vernon of Elizabeth. Born in McKeesport, June 12, 1917, daughter of the late Alfred A. and Edith Lindemyer Neuman. She was a paralegal for A.M. Simon in McKeesport, and an estate administrator for Rose, Schmidt, and Dixon in Pittsburgh. Wife of the late Edward W. Traeger, who died April 13, 1982, she is survived by her daughter and son in law, (Kathy J. (Frank J.) Orris of White Oak; granddaughter, Lisa Hivick of Ohio; grandson, David Orris of Ohio; and grandchildren in her extended family which includes Mary Beth Wilkins, John Peterson, James Peterson, and Meg Panarama. She was preceded in death by her sister, Thelma F. Fedorka. The oldest living member , elder, and deacon of McKeesport Presbyterian Church (formerly Central Presbyterian Church), she was a McKeesport High School graduate, Class of 1934. She was past matron of the former White Oak Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star, past president of the Women’s Association of Central Presbyterian Church, past president of the McKeesport Symphony Auxillary, and an associate member of the McKeesport Hospital Junior Committee. Friends will be received in McKeesport Presbyterian Church following worship on Sunday, November 6, 2016 from noon until 2 PM. A service will be held Monday, November 7, 2016 in the church sanctuary at 11:00 AM with the Rev. John Peterson officiating. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum at McKeesport and Versailles Cemetery. Hunter Funeral Home, Inc., 1600 Coursin Street, McKeesport, PA 15132 is in charge of the arrangements. The family suggests contributions to Hospice 365.

Patrick J. Burns, 65, of White Oak passed away on Thursday November 3, 2016. Born June 15, 1951, he was the son of the late Paul and Joan Burns and the husband of Bonnie (Long) Burns.
He worked for U.S. Steel in Duquesne, then was a welder at ABT, and most recently for the Braddock Hospital in the maintenance department until the day it closed. Patrick was an outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing on his boat with his family and gardening. He was constantly reading and learning new topics. He loved his dogs and went to flea markets with his sons.
Along with his wife, Patrick is survived by his children; Marilyn (George) Sanner of Monongahela, Patrick (Ethel) Burns Jr. of White Oak, and Timothy Burns (Jolie Cannata) of North Versailles, 10 grandchildren; one great grandchild; siblings, Ray (Sharon) Burns of Elizabeth, Paul (Linda) Burns of North Versailles and Pete Burns of Meadville. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Michael Burns, and son, Thomas E. Burns. Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Monday, November 7, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8. Kenneth Hansen, Sr., age 50, of Christy Park, died October 30, 2016, at UPMC McKeesport. Born July 22, 1966, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late James and Elizabeth (Coulter) Hansen and the husband of Janine (Richards) Hansen.
Ken worked as an electrical assistant, until his health would not permit him to do so. He enjoyed sports and spending time with his family and friends.

Elmer G. Grooms, 94, of Elizabeth Township, died Wednesday, November 2, 2016. He was born May 5, 1922 in Dravosburg and was the son of the late John and Myrtle Fry Grooms. He was retired from US Steel in Pittsburgh and the Elizabeth Forward School District. Elmer was a US Army Veteran serving in WWII. For his service, he received the Army of Occupation Medal, European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal and the WWII Victory Medal.

Holsing, Mark A. (Hannah) Holsing, Laura D. (Artur) MacLellen, and Andrew T. Holsing, nieces and nephews.

Cindy L. Lafferty, age 64, of Pittsburgh, passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at Avow Hospice House in Naples, Fl. She was a former VP of Special Assets for Huntington Bank in Cleveland, OH. She was employed for many years in the banking industry at both Equibank and Integra Bank in the Pittsburgh area. She enjoyed traveling and was a former member of First Presbyterian Church of Elizabeth.
