Ricky L. Fairbanks, 59, of Irwin, died Monday March 28, 2016. He was born January 10, 1957 in McKeesport, a son of the late Charles and Barbara Fairbanks and was also preceded in death by a son Jeremy Kondrich. He was an employee of Hamill Manufacturing Co., Trafford. He is survived by his children, Ricky Ingram, Eric Fairbanks, April Fairbanks and her fiancé Derrick Tamsula, and Anthony Fairbanks and his wife Alexsis; his grandchildren, Adyn and Addison; brothers, Daniel (Catherine) Fairbanks and Terry (Kathryn) Fairbanks; also nieces and nephews.

Dorothy M. Scheetz, age 78, of North Huntingdon died on March 26, 2016. She was born in McKeesport on June 19, 1937 and is the daughter of the late Thomas and Dorothy McDonald Raible. She was a cafeteria manager for Norwin Senior High School for approximately 26 years.
She is survived by her loving husband Thomas J. Scheetz, son; Thomas (Ladonna) Scheetz of New Kensington, daughter; Michaelette Coder of Pittsburgh, brother; Alvin (Kim) Raible of Greensburg, sister; Gloria (Luke) Knapp of Dawson, grandchildren Ashley (Scott) Spalding, Sikira Scheetz, and Lloyd Thomas Scheetz, and great-grandchildren; Taylor, Matt, Dilyn, and Jase Spalding. She was preceded in death by siblings; Tom Raible, Dave Raible, and Dolores Howard.
Friends will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services, Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, Supervisor, 412-678-6177), on Wednesday from 4-8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, North Huntingdon on Thursday at 10:00 am with Father Len Stoviak officiating. Burial will follow.

Franklin "Brownie" Duane Brown, 89, of Greenock, died Sunday, March 27, 2016. He was born July 3, 1926 in Greenock and was the son of the late Joseph W. and Elda J. Kretschmer Brown. He was the husband of the late Betty Lou Widany Brown who died August 21, 2006. Brownie was a member of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Greenock. He was also a member and past Post Chaplin of the Elizabeth VFW Post 7632 and past Commander of the Elizabeth American Legion Post 553. He was a WWII U.S. Navy Veteran and had received the Pacific Theater Ribbon, American Theater Ribbon and the WWII Victory Medal. He was retired from the Port Authority of Allegheny County after 34 years of service.

Arline R. Clark, 92, of North Versailles, formerly of Port Vue, died March 25, 2016, at AHN Forbes Hospital. Born July 16, 1923, in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late George and Louise (Arnold) Robertson and wife of the late Gerald J. Clark. She was an active member of the Point Pleasant Retirement Community where she entertained the other residents every six weeks with shows, often with holiday themes, sing-a-longs, and of course, her myriad of jokes. Arline was a member of St. Mark Parish and the Christian Mothers within the church. She was a Eucharistic Minister at St. Mark Parish and John J. Kane Regional in McKeesport, and also volunteered at Kane Regional in McKeesport for over 15 years.

Chester Edward (Spychala) Spiegel, age 84, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 25, 2016 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. He was born February 6, 1932 in McKeesport to the late Julius and Mary Kepka (Spychala) Spiegel. He is the husband of the late Phyllis Abraitis Spiegel. Chester was a lifelong member of St. Mary of Czestochowa Catholic Church (now Corpus Christi Parish) in McKeesport. He served in the US Army during the Korean War in Germany. After graduating from McKeesport High School in 1950 he worked until his retirement in the shipping department at U.S. Steel National Tube Works in McKeesport. He was a member of the American Legion Post 701 in White Oak, the Polish National Alliance Lodge 352 in McKeesport, the Croatian Club Lodge 146 in Versailles, the Mon Yough Church Dartball League for Christy Park UMC, and the Glassport Lanes Duckpin Bowling League. Chester loved all Pittsburgh sports teams and most especially the McKeesport Tigers. He also loved to watch his grandchildren in all their different activities, and to travel and hit the casinos.
Chester is survived by a daughter Melissa Awenowicz of Irma, SC; a son Erik, and his wife Keli, of Penn Township; grandchildren Benjamin and Sarah Awenowicz and Joshua and Jordan Spiegel; a sister, Rose Sedney, of Beaver Falls; brothers, Walter Spiegel, of North Huntingdon, and Joseph (Theresa) Spiegel, of Key Largo, Fla.; He is also survived by many nieces and nephews who loved and adored him. He was preceded in death by sisters, Helen, Sophie and Stella; and brothers, Chuck, Frank and Edward.
Friends will be received at Strifflers of White Oak Cremation and Mortuary Services Inc., 1100 Lincoln Way, White Oak, PA 15131 (Sue Striffler Galaski, Supervisor, 412-678-6177) on Tuesday from 4-9 pm. William F. “Bill” Clay, age 97 of McKeesport died Friday, March 25, 2016. He was born in McKeesport on September 29, 1918 and is the son of the late William R. and Mary Skelly Clay. He is the husband of Katherine A. Sullivan Clay of McKeesport. He was a retired certified public accountant. He served in the US Army Air Corp during WWII and was a member of the American Legion in White Oak.
