Shirley Jean (Wise) Rosengarth, 80, of Rillton, Pennsylvania, and Port Orange, Florida, passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2016. She grew up in Whitaker, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Munhall High School in Pennsylvania. She was the daughter of the late Earl Wise and Margaret (Mattiko Wise) Scheder of Whitaker. Beloved wife of 59 years to Karl William Rosengarth formerly of Dravosburg, Pennsylvania and devoted, loving mother to Karl William Rosengarth Jr. of Indianola, Pennsylvania, Karol Lynn Rosengarth of Brookline, Pennsylvania, and Erik James Rosengarth of West Newton, Pennsylvania.

Michael Campbell Daube, 92, passed away peacefully at home and went to be with his Lord, Jesus Christ, on April 19. Mike most recently resided in North Huntingdon with his son and daughter-in-law. He was married for 63 years to his life’s love, Kathryn Hanna Daube, who pre-deceased him. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Campbell and Scundra Daube; brothers, Esau, Joseph, and George; and sisters, Sue, Millie, and Sara. Mike is survived by his step-mother, Samira Daube; brother, Dan; children, William (Gloria), JoAnn Johnston, and Nancy Pischel (James); grandchildren Mark (Pearl), Elaine Painter (David Isaac), Jeff Johnston, and Katie and Kyla Pischel; step-granddaughters Kristine Fischer (Tim) and Kim Pischel; great-grandchildren John, Ellie, Christian, and Evie Daube; Kathryn, Blythe, Ethan, Anika, and Wyatt Painter; and Norah, Ben, and Samuel Fischer. Mike is also survived by sisters-in-law, Jeri and Vern Daube, Mary Hassick, Esther and Mary Hanna; and many nephews and nieces. He served in Saipan during WW2 and received the Bronze Star. Mike was a lifelong employee of US Steel, starting as a messenger boy and retiring as a drafting department group leader. Mike and Kay were very active in the First Presbyterian Church in Monongahela, until his later years when he worshipped at New Life Presbyterian Church in Harrison City. Mike treasured his family. He was always upbeat, even when hospitalized, and made friends everywhere. Visitation will be from 2–4 pm and 6–8 pm on Friday, April 22 at the James W. Shirley Funeral Home, 176 Clay Pike, North Huntingdon, PA 15642. Respects can also be paid on Saturday at 9 am, April 23 at New Life Presbyterian Church, 326 Raymaley Road, Harrison City, PA 15636 prior to the 10 am memorial service. A luncheon will be served immediately following the service, after which the funeral procession will go to the West Newton Cemetery. Sue W. Drescher, age 84, of Coulter, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2016 at her home. She was born October 17, 1931 in McKeesport, PA, a daughter of the late Frank and Betty Gault Boden. Prior to her retirement, Sue was an assembler for FEMCO Electric and a charter member of Christ United Methodist Church, North Huntingdon. Sue was a 62 year charter member of the Coulter Vol. Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, and treasurer of Coulter Vol. Fire Department for 25 years. She enjoyed crossword puzzles and ceramics. On March 16, 2016, she and her husband celebrated their 65th Wedding Anniversary.

Carl W. Ghrist, age 76, of Latrobe, died April 13, 2016, at Greensburg Care Center. Born April 7, 1940, in Greensburg, he was the son of the late Wilbur and Ethel (Detor) Ghrist.
Carl was retired from the asphalt industry. He enjoyed volunteering for the Salvation Army, where dressed as Santa to help collect donations for the less fortunate. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed the outdoors.

Carol B. Gamble passed away on Feb. 14, 2016 at her home in Upland, CA. She was born to John and Elizabeth Brazill of Hastings, PA on Sept. 5, 1939. A graduate of University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Education, she taught at McKeesport, PA High School before becoming a CPA and establishing her own accounting firm. After moving to CA in 1986, she worked in public accounting until joining the Administration at Claremont Graduate University as Director of Budget and Business Affairs. Later she was named Director of Information Technology from which post she retired. Carol will be remembered as a loving wife and mother who is survived by her husband Jaye; sons Jaye III of Alexandria, VA and Scott of Malvern, PA and daughter Kristin Taylor of South Pasadena, CA; six grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Mike Mihalchik, Jr., of Port Vue, passed away unexpectedly on April 13, 2016 at Forbes Regional Hospital. Mike was born on January 25, 1928 in Munhall and attended Munhall High School and later Robert Morris Business School. He also served in the United States Navy, at sea during World War II and in the Pentagon during the Korean War. Upon returning from the Navy he married Elayne Muscante and together they had three children, each married, Sheryl (Brent) Maletic, Robert (Renee) and Michael (Bonnie). Mike’s education and interest in computing made him one of the true pioneers of the computing age. In the late 1950’s IBM introduced its first general processing systems and he was tasked to learn its capabilities by the manufacturer. As a skilled systems analyst he was employed by Mesta Machine Company and later by Mesta Computing Services until his retirement. He was very proud to be a long time member of the Pittsburgh Byzantine Catholic Archieparchial Choir until Myasthenia Gravis robbed him of his ability to sing. A truly wonderful father, Dad was always a great sounding board for life’s issues. Mike is survived by a sister Dolly Suchta, and is predeceased by his wife Elayne, sister Mary Helen Cosgrove and parents Helen and Mike Mihalchik. He also has three grandchildren of whom he loved dearly, Michael, Madeline and Amy. He will be greatly missed. Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., where a Parastas service will be held at 4 p.m. Divine Liturgy of Christian Burial will be Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church with Fr.
