Doris Amelia (Gonzales) Amatuzzi, age 88, formerly of North Huntingdon, PA, passed away peacefully at Kane McKeesport Regional Community Living Center on Tuesday, January 19, 2021. She was born March 24, 1932 in McKeesport, PA, a daughter of the late Joseph L. and Molly (Weiss) Gonzales.

She was a previous member of St. Agnes Catholic Church in North Huntingdon. She worked for Digital Paging and as a switchboard operator for the UPMC McKeesport Hospital before retiring.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Vincent P. Amatuzzi; sisters Miriam Diggs, Rosalie Hansen, Esther Micklo and Rachel Conrad and brother Joseph “Buddy” Gonzales, Jr.

She is survived by sisters Sylvia Hannen and Linda Micklo; and brothers David “Punch”, Howard, Albert, and Carl Gonzales; her three children Vincent J. (Terri) Amatuzzi of Wetumpka, Alabama, Louise C. (David) Popko of Elizabeth Twp., PA, and Joseph (Anny Nielsen) Amatuzzi of England, U.K.; loving grandchildren Stephanie (Kishore Sawh) Popko, Jaron Popko, Tristan (Joey) Sgarlata and Vincent “Jamie” (Viv) Amatuzzi; and great grandchildren Conner, Jaidyn, Sparrow, Alessia “Lulu”, and Maeve.

Jerrie Lee (Richey) Guldin, 77, of Irwin, peacefully passed away January 19, 2021 with her two sons by her side. She was born May 25, 1943 in Pittsburgh.

She was the beloved mother of Scott (Colleen) Guldin and Eric (Dina) Guldin. She is survived by her grandchildren, Hannah, Mary, Gabriella, Emma, and Bryce Guldin; best friend and sister Carole (Jack) Rayburg, and brother David Richey Sr., including many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Along with her extra children, Ronald (Renee) Howard Jr., John (Rachel) McGurk Jr., the late Charles Burkhart and many others who fondly called her “Mama G.” She was preceded in death by her parents Clifford W. and Lois C. (Graham) Richey and husband David R. Guldin. Always leading a conversation with a compliment, she impacted many lives through her dedication, generosity, and wisdom.

Nancy Jean Washowich, 80, of Plum, formerly of McKeesport, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at home. She was born September 19, 1940 in McKeesport and was the daughter of the late James and Mary (Gwosden) Sucha.  She was the wife of 62 years to the late Milan Samuel Washowich, who passed away August 26, 2020.   Nancy was a former member of St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church. She was a member and past treasurer of the Port Vue Seniors and a poll watcher for Port Vue for elections. She was an avid bingo player, an excellent cook and loved to play cards and board games with her grandchildren and also attend their baseball and softball games.

June Monica (Hornfeck) Cirucci, age 81, of Elizabeth Township, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, January 18, 2021. June graduated in 1956 from Glassport High School. While growing up in Elizabeth Township, she enjoyed working in her father’s pharmacy, Hornfeck Pharmacy in Glassport. In the years following, she proudly served as a lifeguard. June attended Slippery Rock University where she met her husband, Allen J. Cirucci, and graduated in 1960 with her Bachelor of Science degree in Education. She was a devoted teacher, coach, and mother. June proudly dedicated herself to education and in later years pursued her Master’s degree at Penn State University. A member of St. Joachim & Anne Parish, St. Michael Church in Elizabeth Twp., she was passionate about her faith and loved helping others. June was truly a kind and special woman and made everything around her as beautiful as she was. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing piano, swimming, cooking, baking, gardening, sewing, crocheting, and seeing the wildlife around her home. June loved her family more than anything in the world. Born March 3, 1939, in McKeesport, June was a daughter of the late Raymond and Marie (Burke) Hornfeck and wife of the late Allen J. Cirucci for 35 years, until he passed away in 1995. She was the youngest of 5 children. June was the loving mother of son, Mark (Lisa) Cirucci, of Rochester, NY; daughters, Amy (Charles) McKernan of Elizabeth Twp. and Cindy (Paul) Muders of Sewickley; and dear grandmother to Nicholas (Patrice) Cirucci, Nathan Cirucci, Ashley McKernan, Brandon Cirucci, and Violet Muders. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her son, Steve Cirucci. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Mary Beth Cirucci of Monroeville. June is also survived by an extended family of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins, and many dear friends. We love you Mom and Grandma, you will always and forever be in our hearts. A private visitation was held. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Michael Church in Elizabeth Twp. with the Rev. Thomas A. Wagner officiating. Private interment was held in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, North Versailles. Arrangements by the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, Elizabeth. Edward C. Spyra, age 73, of Charles Town, WV, formerly of Glassport, passed peacefully at home on January 15, 2021.  Born in McKeesport May 4, 1947, he was the son of the late Chester and Catherine (Hickey) Spyra. 

A 1965 graduate of Glassport High School, “Spatz”  served with the United States Air force, 4258th Strategic Wing Operation during the Vietnam War.  He retired from Bechtel Corporation in 2018 with over 30 years of service.  As a project procurement specialist, he worked on major construction projects around the world which afforded him the opportunity to pursue his love of travel.  He had a deep passion for family, genealogy and photography.

Ed was the husband of Rebecca Missman Spyra for over 40 years.  He is survived by sons David (Kelly) Spyra of Seattle WA, Christopher (Lisa) Spyra of Liberty Borough and daughter Teresa Spyra of Charles Town, WV; grandchildren Jack, Caitlin and Aisling Spyra of Seattle, WA., Joshua, Noah, and Luke Spyra of Liberty Borough. Brother John (Kathy) Spyra of Wichita Falls, TX, sister Mary (Christopher) Raynak of Monroeville. Nephews Sean (Alexis) Raynak, Ryan (Tara) Raynak, niece and Goddaughter Helen Spyra, great nephews Justin Oliver and Jameson Raynak. Ralph Joseph Henry, Jr., 80, of Glassport, passed away peacefully on Monday, Jan. 4, 2021, despite the prayers of many people.

Ralph was born Oct. 21, 1940 with his twin sister Rita (Dr. Earl) Brink, the first children of the late Ralph Joseph Henry, Sr. and Mildred (Christianson) Henry "Christie" of Sharon, Pa.

Ralph graduated from McKeesport High School and went on to receive a B.A. Degree from St. Vincent College. Ralph continued his studies at the Duquesne University School of Law. He also served in the US Army.

Ralph was a member of Queen of the Rosary Parish. Ralph's intelligence, friendly disposition and love for people made him the consummate salesman. He spent much of his working career with the Smail family of dealerships in Greensburg and Kenny Ross and Sons in North Huntingdon. He continued selling and looking after his customers until his death.

Ralph would do anything for you. He enjoyed travel, attending concerts and most of all, being with relatives and friends. He was an avid reader and a true Pittsburgh sports fan. Ralph was a loving presence in many people's lives.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rita (Tyskiewicz) Henry.
