James G. Wilson, age 73, of Lincoln, passed away on Monday, November 1, 2021 at home. He was a former clerk for the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board and a former Boy Scout. He was awarded the American Legion Youth Leadership Award for high school juniors being a Keystone Boys Stater. Born October 31, 1948 in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late James and Helen (Eggert) Wilson and husband of the late Pamela Jean Gordon Wilson. He is survived by siblings, the Rev. David D. (Gale) Wilson of Venetia and Marijane (Len) Bartkus of New Milford; nephew, Gregory (Amanda) Wilson of Cranberry; niece, Hannah (Harish) Sharma of Jersey City, NJ; and great-nieces and nephews, Matthew and Henry Wilson, and Aadhya and Avani Sharma. A Memorial Service will take place on Friday, November 5, 2021 at 1 PM in the Anglican Church of the Transfiguration in Elizabeth with the Rev. Karl J. Petterson officiating. Stanley T. Mitchell

Stanley T. Mitchell, age 69, of McKeesport, died October 27, 2021, at UPMC McKeesport. Born May 25, 1952, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Howard and Valerie (Mitchell) Mitchell and the husband of Renea (Naylor) Mitchell.

Stanley was a fun-loving family man. He enjoyed his free time spent fishing and watching baseball and basketball. He was also an avid Steeler's fan. Stanley served in the Marines during the Vietnam War.

Stanley is survived by his sons; Stanley D. Mitchell, Shelbe Mitchell, Jeremie Mitchell, Dane Mitchell, Lavelle Mitchell, and daughter; Jazmine Mitchell.  He is also survived by 29 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Along with his children and grandchildren, Stanley is survived by brothers; Howard Mitchell, Bertrum Mitchell, and Clyde Mitchell, and sisters; Etta Bull, Gail Mitchell, and Denise McCoy.

He was also preceded in death by his daughter; Natasha Demery, sister; Pamela Mitchell, and brother; Clifford Mitchell.

Harry Herbert Howard

Harry Herbert Howard, age 85 of Glassport, died October 30, 2021, at UPMC McKeesport. Born September 13, 1936, in Buffalo, NY, he was the son of the late Arthur Leroy and Ruth Louise (Geisler) Howard.

Harry retired as a truck driver after many years, then went back to work for Goodwill Industries. He was a United States Air Force veteran during peacetime. Harry was an artist, enjoying woodworking, creating clocks, sculptures, and gifts for his family. He was a loving, kind-hearted man who would do anything for anyone.

Harry is survived by his children, Patti (Eric) McGauley, Frank (Christina) Howard, Robert (Debra) Howard, Dennis Howard, and Ronald Howard; step-children, Tammy Mason, Tina Sullivan and Patricia Rice; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; partner, Donna Dewalt; former wife, Kathy Howard; sister-in-law, Joy Howard, and nephew, Shaun Howard.

In addition to his parents, Harry was preceded in death by his brother Arthur and third wife, Sandy Howard.

George W. Will

George W. Will, age 89, of Gibsonia, formerly of Elizabeth Twp., died October 28, 2021, at the Good Samaritan Hospice House in Wexford.  Born June 7, 1932, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late William and Christine Will.  George served in the United States Army and was a Veteran of the Korean War.  He worked for the Plain Grove Sand & Gravel Company, where he was a Weigh Master.  He was a lifetime member of the Evangelical Congregational Church of McKeesport, an avid fisherman, a birdwatcher, and also was a volunteer with Meals on Wheels for 25 years. George is survived by a daughter, Melissa Dunn; cousins Dorothy Phillips, Norma Puckey, Vaughn Puckey, Jean Pope, George Will, and David Will. He was also preceded in death by an aunt, Christine (Gertrude) Will.  A memorial service will be held at Evangelical Congregational Church in McKeesport on Friday, November 5, 2021, at 11 a.m.  Arrangements were entrusted to Willig Funeral Home & Crematory.  Condolences and memories may be shared at www.willigfuneralcremationservices.com. Dolores H. Radakovich, 98, died Friday October 29, 2021. She is the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen Wukoson. She is survived by her son Tom Radakovich; daughter-in-law Linda Radakovich; granddaughters Sara Caric and Julie Radakovich; great-granddaughter Eloise; and many loving relatives. She was preceded in death by beloved husband Sam Radakovich, and son Steven Radakovich. Dolores was a longtime member of St. Sava’s Serbian Orthodox Church. Friends received at the Teichart-Gracan Funeral Home Thursday 10am. A funeral blessing will be held at 11am. Interment following Jefferson Memorial Park.

Mary Kay (Thompson) Lindeman, 72 of McKeesport, formerly of Clairton, passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital. She was born on January 6, 1949, in McKeesport to the late Russell and Evelyn Freund Thompson. Mary was the loving partner to the late Rodney “Butch” Lindeman. She is survived by her daughters Lauri (David) Ehredt of Boise, Idaho, and Jennifer Spencer of Homestead. She is also survived by her sons Steve (Joy) Poorman of Elizabeth, Paul Poorman of Clairton, and Todd Poorman of Glassport. She is further survived by her stepdaughter Florence (Scott) Oblack of Forward Township. Other survivors include her sister, Norma (Clyde) Hennon of Dravosburg, as well as 8 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and her nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by her parents Russell and Edith, her brothers Sonny and Dick Thompson, husbands Rodney Lindeman and Ben Spencer, and Charles Poorman. Julian, age 90 of Pleasant Hills, passed away on Friday, October 29, 2021 in Southwestern Nursing Center, West Mifflin.  Born February 2, 1931 in Clairton, he was a son of the late Attilio and Adelina (Lancianese) Julian.  A US Army Veteran of the Korean War, Anthony was a member of Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish, St. Clare of Assisi Church in Clairton, a retired motor inspector at US Steel Clairton Works, and a member of the Tuesday Night Bowling League in Clairton and Glassport.  He is survived by his wife Alberta (DiFalco) Julian; his children Thomas Julian of Pleasant Hills and Barbara (Joe) Mills of West Mifflin; his brother Valentino (Carol) Julian of St. Petersburg, FL; his sister Angeline (Joe) DiPietro of Portland, OR; and also many nieces and nephews.  Besides his parents, Anthony was preceded in death by his siblings Pete, Jimmy, Mark, Joe, John, and Marie Julian, Concerina Bonafortuna, Dorothy and Frances Russo, and Viola Contini.

Gregory Edward Cole

Gregory Edward Cole, 56, died unexpectedly October 25, 2021, due to covid.

He  was born at Magee Hospital, on September 21, 1965. He was one of three children born to proud parents Virginia and Fred Cole. "Greg", as he was affectionately called, attended and graduated from Duquesne High School.

Although his siblings considered Greg to be a "mama's boy", because of his deep devotion to and affection for his mother, Greg enlisted in the United States Armed Forces shortly after graduation, where he served for four years. He was proud of his achievement of being an Army Ranger Squad Leader, as well as being a Unit Armorer with Secret Security Clearance. He left the Army with an Honorable Discharge.

Rev. Peter Anthony Alfieri, 95, passed away peacefully at his home on October 19, 2021 in Lantana, FL. He was born March 13, 1926, in East McKeesport, PA, the son of Gennaro and Assunta (Macchione) Alfieri; brother of Angie (Mario) Bortoluzzi, Deborah (late Daniel) Daugherty, James (Jean) Alfieri and the late Victor (Floy) Alfieri. Husband of the late Angeline (Pregano) Alfieri; beloved father of Leah (David) Carmo, Rebekah Anderson, Faith (Joseph) Rossello, and Peter (Elizabeth) Alfieri Jr. Also left to cherish his memory are his grandchildren Bethany (Michael) Porter, Hayley (Jeffrey) Sheldon, David Carmo, Joel (Erin) Anderson, Adam Carmo, Rachel, Sarah and Eve Rossello, and Angelina and Peter Alfieri III; great grandchildren Leah and Keaton Porter, and Violet and Willa Sheldon; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter whose memory he always cherished.

Peter was a proud veteran of the United States Army, and served overseas during World War II. Upon his return, he pursued higher education at the University of Pittsburgh and Western (Pittsburgh) Theological Seminary eventually earning two Master's degrees. His passion and purpose in life was to serve the Lord and spread the gospel. He began his life’s work at Bethel United Methodist church in Lower Burrell from 1955-1959. From 1959-1974 he served Cresson United Methodist church, until eventually relocating to Vintondale, PA to lead Blacklick United Methodist church, where he remained until his retirement in 1989. Even after his retirement, Peter continued his ministry part time at the Laurel Swamp Union Church in Clymer, PA from 1991-2005. He will be fondly remembered by his many congregants and members of the communities he faithfully served throughout his life.

John graduated from St. Thomas Catholic School in Braddock, PA.  He later attended Duquesne University, CCAC, and the University of Pittsburgh where he earned a masters of education degree in 1982 while being employed full-time at USS Edgar Thompson Works. He retired from there after 44 years of service. John had a fantastic sense of humor, loved music, reading, continuing education, carpentry and electronics.

Murphy & Co. in Clairton and Ames in Bethel Park, Rita was a member of Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish, St. Clare of Assisi Church in Clairton and the Clairton Senior Citizens.  Hers was a life well lived.  Her love, strength, and memories will be greatly missed.  She will live on forever in heaven and in our hearts.  Besides her parents, Rita was preceded in death by her husband Robert Williams and her siblings Lois Follador and Lawrence "Dutch" Seidling.  She is survived by her children Robert (Pam) Williams of Plainfield, IN, Jean (Charles) Minford of Clairton, Kahrl (Rick) Smith of Butler, and Charles (Norma) Williams of Indianapolis, IN; her nine grandchildren: Robert and Jeffrey Williams, Karie Wright, Jaron and Matthew Minford, Karisa Williams, April and Alicia Raymond, and Michael Goliat; her fourteen great-grandchildren; her two great-great-grandchildren; her nieces Dinean (Follador) Benack and Lynne (Seidling) Fedorka; and also many nephews.
