June F. Snyder, age 92, of White Oak, died peacefully October 11, 2024, surrounded by her family and friends. Born February 26, 1932, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Laura (Smith) Schultz and the wife of the late Paul H. Snyder.
June worked at Thurman's Candy Co. in her earlier years and later retired as a clerk at the former Mann's Drug Store. She was a member of Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church. June enjoyed shopping for and selling treasures at the local flea markets, playing bingo and cards with her friends and family, and playing the slots at the casino. Above all, she was a proud grandmother and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Richard Alan Harris, 74, of Duquesne, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2024 at home. The beloved husband of Anne Marie (McLaughlin) Harris, Richard was born September 15, 1950, in Pittsburgh. He was the son of the late Stuart Marvin and Anna Rita (Mentzer) Harris. Richard served four years in the Air Force at Langley Air Force Base, where he trained and worked as a carpenter. Richard led a life of dedication as a young man. He served as an altar boy at Saint James Church in Wilkinsburg, and he spent several years as a member of the Boy Scouts of America in Troop One, based at the Mifflin Avenue Methodist Church in Wilkinsburg, where he reached the rank of Eagle Scout as a member of the Order of the Arrow. Though retired at the time of his passing, Rick previously worked as a fabricator at Spectro Chemical and as a courier at Gateway Travel and NAPA Auto Parts. His first love was working with his father, Stuart, as a carpenter. Richard was a member of the Royal Outing Club of Evans City. A descendant of founding members, he celebrated his 50th year of membership there and had served in various offices, including club president. He leaves behind many longtime friends in this community and others. A devout member of the Park Baptist Church, Richard participated in both the Men’s Breakfast and the Bible Study there. “Uncle Rick” was also a dedicated family man who would spend his mornings sending messages to his numerous nieces and nephews each day. He supported youth in many ways, including acting as a Little League coach and watching over his grandchildren. Rick was a fervent Steelers fan. But his favorite thing was spending time with his wife, Anne Marie. The couple were to celebrate forty years of marriage this year.

David L. Miller, age 77, of Irwin died October 14, 2024, peacefully at home with his family by his side. He was born November 9, 1946, in Fargo, North Dakota, a son of the late Michael and Dorothy Miller. Prior to his retirement, Dave was employed as a truck driver. He was a lifetime member of the Norwin VFW Post 781 and a founding member of the Honor Guard. He was a veteran of both the U.S. Army and U.S Marines. He proudly served three tours in Vietnam with the U.S. Marine Corps as a scout dog handler. Dave enjoyed old cars, fishing, flower gardening and his dog Kari. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 359 in Irwin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Gerry and Richard Illgen, Tim and Bruce Miller, three sisters, Cheryl and Linda Malkosky and Judy Myrold. He is survived by his beloved wife, Marcy Lake Miller, two sons, Joe Miller, Mike Miller (Maggie), four daughters, Nicole Perkey (Will), Melissa Gill (John), Michelle Curry (Josh), Holly Ferencuha (Rob), one brother, Dennis Miller, two sisters, Janie Pellis and Judith Basher. brother-in-law’s, Roy Malkosky, Less Myrold, Joe Pellis, sister-in-law’s, Shari Illgen and Diane Miller, grandchildren, James Dean, Regeana, Savanna, Zachary, Tyler, Kaylee, Lucas and Liam. Prior to his retirement, Ralph was employed as a draftsman at Davo Company. Ralph was a retired veteran of the United States Marine Corps, and a member of the Disabled Veteran's Association.
