Daniel Gary "BIG DANNY" Foster, age 72, of Meadville, formerly of McKeesport, went ALL IN on pocket aces and busted on March 3, 2021, in Meadville, PA. He was born in Pittsburgh on February 5, 1949. He was the son of the late Thomas and Elizabeth (Wissman) Foster and the LOVING husband of Hope (Dunn) Foster for 44 years. Dan retired as a property manager at Apartments Unlimited in 2003 to aggressively pursue a career as a professional gambler. He was also the wildly successful owner and operator of the legendary Dunn's Dairy in McKeesport for almost 20 years. Big Danny could flip a burger like no other, "The DUNNBURGER", and could play a mean game of pinball. He was a graduate of Serra Catholic High School after successfully digging graves to pass Latin. Dan was a US Army veteran and toured in Korea. He was known for many things throughout his life. Dan had an incredible sense of humor and an uncanny way to make you laugh at will. He was a role model to many, a rock of stability, and a fierce family man. He enjoyed playing cards with his McKeesport life-long friends, Mama Pepino's cohorts, and many, many trips to the casino. He had an intense passion for coaching his Daughter Hayley's softball teams and relaxing to Doo-Wop oldies. The most important thing to Big Danny was his family's happiness. He loved and adored his precious grand-babies.

Anna Ulokovic, age 86, of McKeesport, died March 4, 2021, at The Grove at Irwin. Born June 27, 1934, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Libero and Marie (Cecchini) Durigon and wife of the late Victor Ulokovic. Anna worked at the family bar, the Clover Tavern, where she bartended and cooked and cared for her family at home. She loved listening to polka music on the weekend, playing bingo and enjoyed a card game of 500 with friends. She especially enjoyed her weekly Saturday movie night dates with her daughter and going out to eat a meal.

Antoinette L. (Capaldo) Genre, 94, of North Versailles Twp., died March 3, 2021. She was the wife of the late John Genre. Antoinette was born in Wilmerding on February 23, 1927, and passed at home with her family by her bed side.
Antoinette is survived by her son Victor Genre (Kathi), and Agnes Genre Marts (Chris Romanik), her grandchildren, Lee Marts ( Alyssa) and Alana Marts (Rob), and she simply lived for her great grandchildren Gianna Marts and Santino “Tino” Marts.

Walter G. Moffat, age 88, of Irwin, passed away Monday, March 1, 2021. He was born February 20, 1933 in Braddock, a son of the late Paul and Alice (Wells) Moffat. He was an Army veteran that served during the Korean Conflict and then went onto become Vice President of B.W. Otterman Lumber Company before becoming a charter bus driver in his retirement. For 55 years, he was an active member of the Suburban Community Church in Irwin. After his Army motor pool experience, Walt always owned a Jeep and was a founding member of the Triangle Jeepers of Pittsburgh and helped start the East Coast 4 Wheel Drive Association. In addition to Jeeps, building and flying airplanes was a lifelong pursuit.

George J. Radvansky, 78, of Duquesne, died peacefully on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, at Paramount Nursing Home, Baldwin Boro. Mr. Radvansky was born in Duquesne, February 23, 1943. He was the son of the late Michael J. and Mary H. (Gajdzik) Radvansky. He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Parish, Holy Trinity Church, West Mifflin, a retired employee of the Homestead works, the Edgar Thompson works, and the Irvin works of the U. S. Steel Corporation, and a proud veteran of the U. S. Army, and a member of VFW Post 6673 Munhall - Whitaker. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Paul (Rita survives) Radvansky. He is survived by his sister-in-law, Rita Radvansky, a niece, Amy Davis, two nephews, Myles (Jamie) Radvansky and Craig (Ashley) Radvansky, two great nieces, Amber and Rachael Radvansky, and several cousins.

On December 30, 1959, Jeffrey Clark Marshall was born to the late Redina Ann Fletcher. He departed this temporal life on Sunday, February 28, 2021.
Jeff graduated from McKeesport High School in 1977 and attended the University of Pittsburgh for 3 years with studies in Engineering. Jeff later attended ICM School of Business and earned an Associate in Applied Science, Major in Computer Science. He worked for Federated Hermes Investment Company for 26 years, starting as a Computer Operator then advancing through the company to his last position as a Senior Database Administrator.
Jeff was a dedicated husband, family man, and friend. He was a Master Mason belonging to Pride of the West Lodge #84 in McKeesport, PA. Jeff enjoyed golfing, fishing, and traveling. He loved attending sporting events and would travel to attend Steeler games when they played out of state. He loved planning family vacations and celebrated his 25th wedding anniversary in Hawaii. Jeff was known for being the grill master and in addition to his impeccable grilling skills, he was famous for making chicken salad and shrimp fried rice for his family and friends.
Jeff was preceded in death by his late mother Redina Fletcher, step-father Harvey Fletcher, grandmother Gladys Marshall, and cousin Eric Miles.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela of 31 years, daughters Brittney and Adina, son Jeffrey “Isaiah”, three grandsons, Triston, Kingdon and Tru, granddaughter Karsyn, sister Kim, brothers Anthony and Robert “Hinkie”, and aunt Hattie Miles. Jeff is also survived by his nephews, Anthony Jr., Quinte, Kyle, Elijah, JahShawn, and Skai, nieces Tanaya, Sade, Safiyah, Raziya, Libra, Kamryn, Ky’Layah, Kimora, and Karmen. Jeff also leaves to mourn a host of relatives and many close friends.

Madeline Rae Roolf, better known as Maddy, 28, of Trinity County, California, departed this life unexpectedly on Friday, February 26, 2021. She was born on September 16, 1992 in Pittsburgh and was and the daughter of Timothy William Roolf (Kathleen Kugler Yurik) and Jean Webb Roolf. A graduate of Norwin High School, she went on to attend the University of Pittsburgh. Maddy was a horseback riding instructor at GSA Camp Redwing, worked for Worldwide Opportunities on Organic Farms (WWOOF), and was an integral part of the Deerlick Springs Campground. Her intellect and fortitude truly served not only her vision of solidarity with nature, but between people as well. She used her love of music and art to contribute to the activism that defined her life; everything she did was devoted to her passion of bettering humanity and the planet while traveling with her well-trained dogs, Kali, Judson and the late Maggie. Her nomadic existence was a blessing to this world, as her presence affected more people than even she could have ever known.

John Paul Amos, 73, of North Huntingdon, formerly of Greenock, passed away Thursday, March 4, 2021, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born April 27, 1947 (a date he liked to remind his family and friends he shared with US Grant) in Washington, PA and was the son of the late Robert N. and Edith M. (Roberts) Amos. "Johnny A." graduated from California University of PA in 1970 and Elizabeth Forward High School in 1965. John also received certificates for his professional and technical training from the Harvard University Project on Negotiation, Penn State University, University of Pittsburgh, California University and ICM School of Business. John served in US Army Security Agency as a Hebrew Interpreter/Translator from 1971-1974. During Army Basic Training, he qualified as an Expert Rifleman - a top proficiency status above sharpshooter. He was married a couple of times but found true love with his friend Joyce Junecko with whom he was deeply in love for the last decades of his life. John worked for technology and logistics companies, spending 13 years with Digital Equipment Corporation where he was recognized for excellence in sales numerous times performing in the top 10% of the professional sales force. Later he was Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing at a Hebrew based logistics company in Pittsburgh. He ended his professional career as President of SalesTek. John was a member of the Greenock United Methodist church in his formative years attending Sunday School, church and MYF every week until going to college. John will be remembered by his family and friends for: his trombone playing at EFHS, drag racing his 1967 Camaro, smoking fine cigars, his and Joyce's annual Pig Roasts, serving as President of WORGC, his skeet shooting, work with the NRA Youth Shotgun Program, his NRA Instructor Certification in Pistol, Shotgun and Range Safety Officer. He was preceded in death by his youngest brother, Keith Amos.

Jerry was an avid bowler with a perfect 300 game. He was also a valued employee of the former Schleifer Funeral Chapel in North Braddock. Jerry was the beloved husband of 42 years to Cheryl (Szekely) Pysk; father of Gerald (Amy Maegle) Pysk Jr. of Whitehall and Andrea Nicole Pysk of Braddock; son-in-law of Florence Szekely of Braddock and the late Rudy Szekely; and is also survived by many cousins.

Evelyn L. (Swank) Pennington departed this world to meet her Heavenly Father on March 5, 2021, after 86 years. She was born December 1, 1934 to the late Daniel and Stella (Painter) Swank. In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, David L. Pennington, in 2013; son, Bruce Pennington; grandson, D. “Bud” Flinner; and all of her many siblings- Helen Trent, Ethel Cochran, Donna Kelley, and Daniel Swank. Gerald “Poppa” Skalka, 82, formerly of North Huntingdon, passed away peacefully Thursday, February 4, 2021 at home, surrounded by family. He was born May 3, 1938 in North Braddock and was the son of the late Joseph and Josephine (Ondrey) Skalka. Jerry proudly served in the United States Army from 1958-1967 and went on to serve in the Pennsylvania Air National Guard, eventually retiring as a Technical Sergeant in April of 1994. Jerry wore many hats in his life from computer work to a steel worker. After leaving his childhood home in North Braddock, PA, he moved around until he ultimately settled in North Huntingdon, PA, for a lengthy portion of his life. It was here that he raised four children and accepted an additional two children to create his blended family after his marriage to SandraLee (Bishop) Skalka. He was left widowed after her passing on January 20, 2011. Jerry loved to split his time living with his daughter, Janel, in Hunker, PA, and escaping from the winter cold to warmer weather in San Diego, CA, where he would reside with his son, Vincent. Poppa enjoyed spending his days outdoors cutting grass, tinkering with the cars, and tending to his garden, which he always made the flowers look amazing. Also, let’s not forget all of those trips to Dunkin’ Donuts or to his favorite casino! He was always up for “useless trivia” as he would call it. He had such a distinct sense of humor and would do anything to make you laugh. A man of few words, but always there when you needed him.
