Roger Cosgrove was born February 18, 1937 in Cambridge, Ohio. The youngest of the late Russell and Irene Cosgrove. Roger grew up in Dravosburg before meeting his beloved wife of 62 years and residing in West Mifflin. He was retired from the US Steel Homestead Works and Monzacks Auto Service. In his free time he enjoyed crafting cars, buildings, and other items from cereal boxes that always impressed his family and friends. Roger is survived by his Wife Marney (Lucas) Cosgrove, his Daughters Tracy Decarlo and Kelly Linn, his Grandchildren Leeanne Carlucci and Bill Smollen to whom he raised, and his dog Clyde. Roger passed away peacefully knowing that his family was with him and will always remember the impact he left on all of there lives. He was 83. Per his wishes a private service will be held. David W. Hrezo, age 73, of Elizabeth Twp., passed away on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Jefferson Hospital. He retired as a craneman for U.S. Steel, Clairton Works. He was an Army veteran and a member of St. Michael Parish in Elizabeth Twp. Born June 15, 1947 in McKeesport, he was a son of the late John M. and Pauline (Ozbay) Hrezo and wife of the late Phoebie P. (Henry) Hrezo. He is survived by son, Jason Hrezo of Elizabeth Twp.; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother, Paul Hrezo of Elizabeth Twp.; also, nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by brothers, John and Joseph Hrezo, and sisters-in-law, Sophia and Suzie Hrezo. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, 221 North Second Avenue, Elizabeth on Monday, October 12, 2020 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Blessing will take place on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at 10 AM in the funeral home with Rev. Thomas Wagner officiating. Burial will follow in St. Clare Cemetery, Clairton. Margaret M. “Meg” Keeney, age 68 of West Mifflin, passed away at home on Thursday, October 8, 2020. Born March 3, 1952 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Margaret (Hickey) Petersen. A retired secretary for St. Clair Hospital, Meg is survived by her husband Ralph B. Keeney; her children Christopher Foster of Colorado Springs, CO, Jereme Foster of Pittsburgh, Brian Keeney of Elrama, and Janyce Keeney of St. Louis, MO; her siblings Mark (Beverly) Petersen of Cape Cod, MA, Lenna (Lenny) Milas of Bethel Park, and Teresa Bryson of South Fayette; and nieces and nephews. William Maroadi, 87, of North Huntingdon, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at his home. He was born December 21, 1932 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Mary Maroadi. Bill was a veteran of the US Army having served during the Korean War Era and after serving his country, he founded Maroadi Transfer and Storage in 1967. Dr. M. Bernard Keisler, 93, of Port Charlotte, FL, formerly of North Huntingdon, died Saturday October 3, 2020. He was born May 12, 1927 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Max and Olga (Hepps) Keisler and was also preceded in death by his wife Marilyn A. (Weiss) Keisler and a brother Morton Keisler.
Dr. Keisler was a retired optometrist having his own practice in Irwin for many years and then semi-retiring and joining Irwin Eye Care until full retirement from optometry. At the age of 50 he received his master’s in public administration and served on the Bureau of Mediation for the Pennsylvania Department of Labor and Industry.
He served as a Pennsylvania independent arbitrator in his final years. He was a veteran of WWII serving with the U.S. Navy, a member of Gemilas Chesed Congregation, McKeesport, a former member of Norwin School District Board of Directors, a member of Shidle Lodge No. 601, F. & A.M., Irwin, a longtime member of the Irwin Lions Club, and a longtime voting poll worker.
