Paul A. Mastylak age 64, of West Mifflin, formerly of Duquesne, on May 1, 2019. He was the son of the late Paul B. “Farmer” and Mary Margaret (Urda) Mastylak. Paul was a former welder. He loved his two grandchildren and enjoyed golf and hockey. Husband of 41 years to Georgeanne “Gege” (Wentroble) Mastylak; father of Paul “PJ” (Kirstin) Mastylak of Scott Twp.; grandfather of Tanner and Harper Mastylak; brother of Sandy Smouse of West Newton. John D’Amico, 77, of Elizabeth passed away peacefully May 1, 2019. He is the son of the late Francesco and Assunta (Iannotta) D’Amico and beloved husband of the late Natalie (Kochuba) D’Amico. He is survived by his sons Anthony (Lisa) D’Amico and John (Mary Beth) D’Amico; daughter Tina (Scott) Bryer; grandchildren Tully, Oakley, Reid, Max, Nico, Joseph, Jack, Sophia, Luke, Scarlet and Heinz; sisters Immaculata (the late Andreo) Renzi, Antoinette (Giuseppe) Iannotla, Pasqualina (Remiggio) Ciampi, Palmina (Nunzio) D’Agostino, Giulia “Catherine” (the late Domenic) DiStasi, Maria (the late Alberto) Chiarizio; brothers Giuseppi (Rita) D’Amico; brother in law Steve (Janet) Kochuba, the late Valerian Kochuba, and sister-in-law Kathy Oliver. He was preceded in death by brothers Mike (the late Annie) D’Amico and Dominic (the late Betty) D’Amico. John was a retired Quality Insurance Inspector for Bettis Atomic; was a member of Christ the Light of the World Parish; K of C (where he was a past Grand Knight) and Sons of Italy (where he was a past President. Friends received Wojciechowski Funeral Home, Glassport, Sat. from 6-8 and Sun. from 2-4 and 6-8. A funeral mass will be held Mon. at 12:00 pm at Holy Name Church with Father Carmen D’Amico and Father Tom Lewandowski. Interment following Round Hill Cemetery.

Marlene Unrath, 86, of Pleasant Hills, passed away at ManorCare Nursing Home on April 30, 2019. She was born January 16, 1933, to the late Michael and Mary Repko Visokey. Marlene is survived by her daughter; Lori Ann Bagley of Pleasant Hills, sons; Patrick “Sonny” (Jane Bowen) Unrath of Port Vue, and Darrell (Laurie) Unrath of Forward Township, grandchildren; Dylan (Helen) Unrath, Michael (Ashley) Unrath, Ryan (Sarah) Cunning, Jesse and Willie, great grandchildren; Ryan Jr., and Nathaniel and many nieces and nephews. Marlene was preceded in death by her husband William P. Unrath Sr. of 61 years, sons; Gregory, Douglas and William Jr. Unrath, and daughter in law, Marcia Unrath. Carol Ann Lasich, age 79 of Clairton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 30, 2019. Born November 19, 1939 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of the late Carmine and Mildred (Vuksic) Rodino. A graduate of Clairton High School and a member of St. Clare of Assisi Parish, Carol's family will remember her as the kindest, gentlest woman and an amazing mother, a fantastic grandmother to her granddaughter, but "GiGi" to many more. Besides her parents, she joins her husband of 46 years, Robert M. Lasich, who passed away July 2, 2011. Carol is survived by her children Lori Lasich of Rostraver Twp. and Robert (fiancee Kate E. Dadum) Lasich of Clairton; her granddaughter Isabella Patch; her sister Irene Plesniak of Elizabeth; and also nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

He was born July 11, 1995, in Pittsburgh, son of and Tina M. Ford and Kenyatto Terric Berry.
Armani was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church. A 2013 Graduate of Clairton High School, where he was member and Quarterback of the Clairton Bears Football Teams and led them to a 2013 WPIAL Championship. Armani went on to further his education at Bluefield College in West Virginia and played as the Rams Quarterback. After an injury, he continued his education at Youngstown State University and went on to be employed by the KBRB Cleaning Company in Columbus, OH.

In 1945, at the young age of 17 Joe Gdovic enlisted in the Maritime Service, United States Coast Guard-Merchant Marines and served overseas in Italy & the Mediterranean Region. Just a year later he entered active service with the United States Army, he made Private and then Sergeant and served in Japan with the Nugata Military Government Team. Between 1947 and 1951 he served at Fort Lawton, Washington and Fort Lee, Virginia. He was granted an Honorable Discharge as Sergeant and awarded the World War II Victory Medal and Army of Occupational Medal, Japan. He received an Honorable Release from Active Duty as a Corporal. His hobbies during his military service included boxing and baseball. He was also quite skilled at the games of pool and cards. He was a 47-year member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, USA.

Robert Karl Hatcher, age 94, of White Oak, died April 28, 2019. He was born in McKeesport on July 23, 1924 and is the son of the late William P. and Clara A. Helfer Hatcher and the husband of the late Virginia Naomi Strawderman Hatcher. He was a proud vet of the US Navy during WWII where he served in the South Pacific aboard the USS Trathen DD530. He was a member of the White Oak American Legion Post #701 and VFW Post 8430 Hilltoppers where he enjoyed many Straub Beers with his friends. He enjoyed flea markets, collecting cans for spare change and bowling. He loved sharing stories about his military service and the CCC Camps in Idaho. The family would like to thank his very good friends who helped out over the years, especially Joe, Darlene, Danny, and Daren. Robert was employed at US Steel National Tube in McKeesport until he retired. His favorite saying was, “Life is short, and the wages are small, take it easy, and God bless them all”.
