Conchita (Yanez) Gilmore, 81, of Duquesne, died peacefully at home on Monday, June 20, 2016.  Born in McKeesport, July 12, 1934, she was a member of Christ Light of The World Parish, Duquesne. Beloved wife of the Late Robert C. Gilmore. She is survived by three sons, Jerry Gilmore of Maryland, Robert Gilmore Jr. of Duquesne, and Francisco (Frank) Gilmore of South Carolina; two daughters, Teresa Gilmore of White Oak, and Kimberly Deabner of Fayette City; one brother, Ralph A. Yanez of North Huntingdon, and one sister, Virginia Link of McKeesport.

Robert “Bob” G. Pozzuto, age 86 of White Oak, died June 20, 2016 at home.  Born September 29, 1929 in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Sam and Rose (Alfrer) Pozzuto and the beloved husband of Betty (Robinson) Pozzuto.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Robert S. of Hempfield, Thomas W. (Anna) of McKeesport, and George E. (Luann) Pozzuto of Penn Trafford; daughters, Sharron (Michael) Kalman of Farragut, TN and Lori (Daniel) Wertz of McClain, VA; grandchildren, Michael, Eric, Giuliana, Dustin, Amanda, Natalie, Nicole, Noelle, Angela, Dane, Melissa Yendry, and Gerardo; great-grandchildren, Nathan and Julia; sisters; Jeanne Irons of McKeesport and Helen Picone of Liberty Borough; sisters-in-law Dolores (Don) Gorton of Mt. Pleasant and Joyce Pozzuto and also survived by nieces and nephews.  Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home   Crematory on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Church.  A private inurnment will take place at a later time.  Condolences may be shared at www.jaycoxjaworskifh.com

"Buss" and Evelyn Ruggier Miller. Ed was a retired Reading Specialist for the McKeesport Area School District with 29 years of service. He was also proprietor of Ed Miller Driving School. For 48 years, he taught thousands of students of all ages how to drive. He was a member, Elder and Trustee of the First Christian Church, McKeesport and was also a member of PSEA and NEA.

She was a member of the former St. Mary's German Catholic Church in McKeesport. Beryl had worked for the South Allegheny School District as a monitor on the bus that provided transportation for handicapped students.

Clifford B. Sloane, age 80 of White Oak, passed away on Friday, June 17, 2016 at Briarcliff Pavilion in North Huntingdon. Born March 20, 1936 in McKeesport, he was the son of the late William and Gertrude (Crookham) Sloane. Clifford honorably served our country in the US Army. Following his military service, he continued his career working for Champion Tool and Die as a shipping and receiving clerk and also as an accounting clerk, having retired after 40 dedicated years. Upon his retirement, Clifford worked tirelessly for several volunteer organizations, including 17 years of offering his services with Meals on Wheels. In his free time, he enjoyed taking walks in White Oak Park, visiting the Casinos and playing the lottery. He found great joy in spending time outdoors working and fishing, but he especially loved tending to his flower bed. Clifford is survived by his brother, Harry R. (Melva) Sloane of Port Richey, FL; and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Gertrude (Robert) Landkrohn of Butler and Mildred (Frank) Hurley of White Oak; and six brothers, Herbert (Alice) Sloane of West Newton, PA, William (Marge) Sloane of Claysville, PA, Thomas (Helen) Sloane of Claysville, PA, Glenn (Ruth) Sloane of Washington, PA, Howard (Irene) Sloane of North Versailles and George (Peg) Sloane of McKeesport. Family and friends will be received at Jaycox-Jaworski Funeral Home & Crematory on Sunday, June 19, 2016 from 6-8 p.m. and Monday, June 20, 2016 from 2-8 p.m. A private graveside service will be held at Mt. Vernon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the McKeesport Meals on Wheels, 1406 Cornell Street, McKeesport, PA 15132. Joanna Carrozza, age 80, of McKeesport, died June 14, 2016, at Mount Vernon of Elizabeth. Born July 30, 1935, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of the late Dan and Helen (DellaPenna) DiVirgilio.
Joanna was an administrative assistant for 34 years at Westinghouse Electric, Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory in West Mifflin. She was a member of St. Patrick Church. Dancing was one of Joanna’s favorite pastimes. Her first date with, Bernard “Bernie”, her husband of 61 years, was to a local dance.
