Marjorie June Glancy Brannan, age 93, of N. Versailles, PA, died at home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, June 29, 2019. She was the daughter of the late Raymond V. and Harriet Murphy Glancy and was born in Gallitzin, PA on July 6, 1925.
She was married for 53 years to the late Edward J. Brannan who died January 29, 2002. She is survived by her children, Kenneth (Rhonda) Brannan of Annapolis, MD; Robert (the late Sheree) Brannan of Pasadena, MD; Maureen (the late Andrew) Ryan of Wall, PA; Lorraine (Gene) Rizzo of N. Versailles; Bernadette (David) Galinskie of Shiremanstown, PA; Christine (Michael) Reed of Chapel Hill, NC; grandchildren, Andrea Murajda; Jonathan (Emily) Brannnan; Elaine (Dan) Fisher; Vincent Brannan; Ellen (Craig) Wilson; Emmalynn Galinskie; Lucas Reed; Elise Galinskie; Kaitlyn Reed. Also, great grandchild, Layla Wilson and step grandson, Jay (Aimee) Murphy; step great-grandchildren, Kate and Sarah Murphy and sisters; Dolores Sylvestor of Columbia, S. Carolina, Romaine (Joseph) Boley of Hollidaysburg, PA and many loving and caring nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters and brothers-in-law, Virginia and Walter Buck and Betty and Howard Anstead.
Marjorie graduated in 1943 as a Registered Nurse from Ohio Valley General Hospital and continued as an employee. While raising her children she was employed by McKeesport Hospital and the former Columbia Hospital located in Wilkinsburg. She was very active in volunteering for her children’s school and church, St. Robert Bellarmine. She was involved with the Girls Scouts of Western PA while serving as a leader for over 25 years and then serving on the Catholic Committee on Scouting for more than 40 years. Marjorie also volunteered for many years at St. Peter’s Child Development Center working with special needs children. She volunteered for the East Allegheny Meals-On-Wheels well into her nineties.

Irene M. Rapsack, age 92 and formerly of Clairton, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 in Overlook Green Nursing Facility, Whitehall. Born May 3, 1927 in Clairton, she was a daughter of the late Mitro and Julia (Kolcun) Hrapchak. A member of Ascension of Our Lord Byzantine Catholic Church in Clairton, Irene served as a nun for more than 30 years with the Sister Servants of Mary Immaculate of Sloatsburg, NY, earning her Ph.D. from Fordham University. She taught all over and outside of the United States at various schools and institutions before taking a job with the Byzantine Diocese of Cleveland, then retiring back home to the area. Irene was a self-sufficient, independent, and devout woman who made her own way and lived a very interesting life.

Elizabeth "Betty" Lindahl, age 88 of Marion, Texas, formerly of White Oak, entered eternal life on Sunday, June 23, 2019. She was born May 2, 1931 in Versailles Boro, the daughter of the late John and Bertha Nemeth Bunda and the wife of the late Robert Harold Lindahl. She was a banquet hostess employed by the Palace Inn Restaurant for many years. Betty was also a graduate of McKeesport High School, Class of 1949. Betty was always an active member of her church, McKeesport Presbyterian and Immanuel United Presbyterian. She was a loving animal advocate and rescue supporter who very much loved her dogs, Daisy and Pearlie. Betty loved to cross-stitch, cultivate flowers and work puzzles in her spare time. Those she leaves behind will most remember her for her love of God and family. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, neighbor, friend and wife and will be truly missed by all. She is survived by daughters, Valerie L. (Larry C.) Moore of Marion, Texas and Michelle Lindahl of Orlando, Florida; granddaughter, Elizabeth Leslie Moore of Marion, Texas; nephews, Charles Beres of Pfafftown, North Carolina and Martin Beres of Ottawa, Canada. Elizabeth J. Hough Scott, “Betty”, age 85 of Elizabeth, PA, passed away on June 22, 2019. Her partner, Charles Huffman, her children, best friend, Joyce Evans, and the OSTPA Hospice group, lovingly cared for her at home through her final week. She was born in Clairton, PA on August 5, 1933 to the late Henry and Bertha Moore Hough. She is preceded in death by former husband, Alexander T. Scott, and all her siblings. She is survived by her partner of 14 years, Charles Huffman of Elizabeth, PA; her three children; Perry Spires (Debbie Snyder), Louise Bagwell-Robinson (Charles Bagwell, MD) both from Richmond, VA, and her son Thomas Henry Scott (Elaine Hubbard) from Columbus, GA, and her son-in-law, James Robinson (Sharon) of Hurricane, WV. Betty was blessed with four outstanding grand-children; Perry Spires, “PJ” (Melanie) of Mt. Pleasant, Emily Gigliotti (Nathan) of Everson, PA, Amy Robinson Alphin (Thomas) of Seattle, WA, and Laura Robinson of Richmond, VA. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; Owen and Lily Spires, Amelia, Olivia, and Julia Gigliotti, James Robinson II, and Henry Alphin. Betty was one extremely hard-working woman! She had owned and operated two different businesses – Chili’s Place in Monongahela, and MMM Goodies – Homemade Baked goods. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, making crafts, and was an AVID Longaberger Basket collector. She also worked for decades as a cook at Falk School at the University of Pittsburgh. She loved cooking for the children and repeatedly told stories about them and became very close with many of the families. Betty taught her family, not only the love for Kennywood Park, where her grandfather used to run the pony track, but also the love of the Pittsburgh Steelers. She was a season ticket holder for 25 years. Betty’s family will receive guests at S.M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N. 6th St., Clairton, PA 15025 at 4:00 on Tuesday, June 25. He was born December 31, 1957, in McKeesport, son of the late Frank Mikell and Doris Washington. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth Mikell.
Dana took pride in his work as a Salesperson for Brooks Brothers for twenty-one years.

William Baccile, age 90 of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania died on Wednesday, June 12, 2019. He was born on April 9, 1929 one of two children of Michael and Mary (De John) Baccile in Vandergrift, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. David P. Adams, 68, of Murrysville, passed away suddenly on Monday, June 3, 2019, with his family by his side.
Born March 17, 1951, in McKeesport, he was the son of the late Michael and Margaret (Skurnick) Adams. Dave was a member of the last class of Westinghouse Memorial High School, and a graduate of Point Park University. He worked for many years for Carclo Technical Plastics in Export and Latrobe, and as a professional photographer for newspapers, other publications, schools, and organizations.
He was a former member and past president of Murrysville Lions Club, and an avid supporter of Franklin Regional Marching Band. He also was a huge Pittsburgh Penguins fan and a longtime member of St. Mary, Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Export. Most important to Dave was his family, and he was a loving father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnijean Cooney Adams; daughters Susan Adams, Lisa (Lou) Garbin, Nettie (Eric) Matheny, and Racquel (Chris) Matijak; grandchildren Tori Adams, Saarah Matijak, Samantha Matijak, and Ryan Garbin; foster grandchildren, and one on the way; brothers Ray (Patti) Adams and Bob (Mary) Adams; nieces, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many family friends.

Mary Elizabeth (DeBor) Zwack, age 98 of Clairton, passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2019. Born February 22, 1921 in Pittsburgh, she was the third of five children of the late Arcadius Ferdinand DeBoar and Clara (Weis) Debor. Mary was raised through the great depression, and the great and deadly flu and scarlet fever epidemics that forced quarantines on her home growing up. After casting aside a litany of ardent suitors, she chose a handsome US Army Sergeant as her husband: the late Michael N. Zwack, who passed away November 24, 2013. Although she never reached over five feet tall, she could run fast and had a very protective older brother. She is survived by her daughter Diane Fagot of Clairton; her grandchildren Bridget (Sean) Rieger of Elizabeth and Neil (Julie) Fagot of Pleasant Hills; her great-grandchildren Kaia, Bodi, and Soren Rieger and Mirielle Fagot; her sister Madelyn DeBor; and also many nieces and nephews.

A 1943 graduate of McKeesport High School, Robert was a World War II Veteran of the US Army, serving in D Company, 254th Infantry Regiment, 63rd Infantry Division "Blood and Fire." Robert married the late Mary Lou (Feightner) Ziemke on January 15, 1947, and they stayed happily married for 57 years until her passing on February 15, 2004. He worked for US Steel's National Tube Works from 1947 to 1960 and Equitable Gas from 1960 to 1991, joining their Equitable Gas Retirees' Club.

Michael J. Uhren, 92, of West Mifflin passed away into the arms of the Lord our God on May 31, 2018. Mike was born October 18, 1926 in Duquesne, PA to George and Elisabeth Uhren.
Mike served in the Asiatic Pacific Theater during World War II. When he came home he was a mill worker, house builder and butcher before becoming a mailman, which he did for over 40 years. More importantly, when he came home, he went to Kennywood one day and freeloaded some French Fries from a gorgeous woman from Homestead named Helen Bakota. They would spend the next 70 years virtually inseparable. Mike is survived by his wife Helen (Bakota) of West Mifflin, son Greg Uhrlen (Kara) of South Fayette and granddaughters Kayla and Juliana Uhrlen of South Fayette. Mike was fearless and absolutely adored his granddaughters Kayla and Juliana. They were his pride and joy!

Cynthia (Patrick) Gigliotti, age 59, of Elizabeth, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Jefferson Hospital. Born April 15, 1960 in McKeesport, she was a daughter of Patricia (Patrick) Rothey of Clairton and the late Carl H. Rothey. In addition to her mother, she is survived by her loving partner, Jim Pennell; daughter, Jennifer Gephart of Clairton; sons, Dennis W. (Erin) Gephart Jr. of West Newton and Christopher (Angela Mason) Kurta of White Oak; grandchild, Kylie Kurta of White Oak; brothers, Karl (Patricia) Rothey of Clairton and Eric (Tami) Rothey of West Newton; also, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by grandson, Anthony Stephen Gephart. Friends will be received in the Paul E. Bekavac Funeral Home, 221 North Second Avenue, Elizabeth on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A blessing service will take place on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at 12 Noon in the funeral home with the Rev. Thomas A. Wagner officiating. Burial will follow in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth Twp. Mary Elizabeth (Morris) Hoey, age 95, of Forward Twp., passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Mt. Vernon of Elizabeth. She was a secretary for the former Donald Thompson Insurance Agency in Elizabeth and Clairton. A member of the former First Presbyterian Church in Clairton, she was a member of the Elizabeth Senior Citizens and enjoyed playing bingo.

Helen A. (Suchta) Gambal, 98, formerly of Duquesne and Dravosburg, died peacefully on Thursday, May 30, 2019, in Riverside Care Center, McKeesport. Born in Duquesne on April 11, 1921, she was the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (Turcik) Suchta. Mrs. Gambal was a member of Holy Trinity Roman Catholic Church, West Mifflin and a retired housekeeper for Jefferson Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Gambal and the loving mother of Donald (Grace) Gambal of Cleveland, Ohio and the late Thomas Gambal. She is also survived by a sister, Pauline Perhac of Duquesne. In addition to her parents, husband and son she was also preceded in death by three brothers, John, Andrew and George Suchta, and three sisters, Mary Karafa, Anna Karafa, and Virginia Skoczylas.

Edward worked for the former US Steel National Tube Works and was a Air Force Veteran serving during the Vietnam War.
